Note 5 was my first Android phone. Sick of Apple and decided to give it a try. Once a Note user, always a Note user. I used it for 5 long years before upgrading to Note 20 Ultra, and now, the S22 Ultra....

My Note 5 died today. How nostalgic. It's been with me since middle school, I'm halfway through college now. Hands down best phone I ever had. Last os update was android 7 but it still gave minor updates long after. It gave me one just months before. What a shame. It's difficult to find a phone that actually feels like an upgrade from this. Even in the current s series, unless it's the ultra versions. T'was very amazing.

This phone & commercial earmarked the transition of Samsung and the Android device ecosystem, for better or worse, towards unibody glue-packed phones that are very pretty but hard to repair. Gone were the days of dropping your phone and the battery falls out. In were the days of glass on the front and back, because why not? The commercial also perfectly captures the peak in 2016 of corporate marketing and music production. Nonetheless, I say this as an Apple user but I miss the Note 5. What a time!

It's hard to leave a Samsung Note. I had Samsung Note 1. Then bought a Samsung Note 4. I lost it so I bought another Samsung Note 4. Got a tight budget and sold it nicely. Got a Samsung Note 3 and upgraded to Samsung Note 5 and I gave my Samsung Note 3 to wifey. Well, I will still look into upgrading to a higher note. Samsung Note series is awesome. Samsung Note 5 is 4 years and 4 months old now but still works great at almost any aspect.
