Do you have to use the laminating machine, or can you use clamps / heat device? Any at home method that will work to rejoin those two items?

Almost two months ago, I replaced my years-old, much-used, serious screen burn-in Galaxy S7 with a refurbished S10e, and it works great, even after receiving an Android 11 and One UI 3.1 upgrade about 1/2 hour after starting up the unit for at least my first time (Also happy to learn that Samsung has included the entire S10 Family to receive the future Android 12/One UI 4.0 upgrade, whenever that happens) ... As for any repair I may need in the future (Hopefully none, as I am extremely careful and use a cover glass and pretty strong case as well), I will remember you after watching your different vids, as I have no intention of doing any of this kind of repair myself... Was considering this as my next phone but I guess not if they're glueing the glass to the screen. I'll go with a Xiaomi phone or something since that normally costs me £20 to quickly swap the glass with nothing but a hairdryer and bit of plastic.

Would you recommend to replace the glass or the entire screen? It may be easier to get a replacement kit, but I am not sure if the replacement screen (lcd & glass) be anywhere near the quality of the original.

dam I bought my S10e in 2020 for $300. Cost of replacing the entire display assembly= $120 - $150. Cost of Glass ONLY = $10 - $15. However, the specialized equipment required, makes this non-choice.

You can either replace the entire amoled or glass only. Keep in mind glass only you will still see the black "bleed"

I did this repair with a heat gun very fragile screen don’t recommend doing this at home leave it to a repair person I was lucky to be able to do it as I’ve replaced all Samsung glass on s9,s8 etc in the past but this one was by far the toughest

I'm not trying to be picky here however, when you said that you were putting the phone to sleep to remove the screen, you did not actually wait for the screen to fully turn off and you can see at 2:00 the screen is still on at the exact time when you disconnect it which is not good. You need to wait for the screen to actually turn off. Just tell people to fully power the phone off and disconnect the battery so they don't have any issues. It doesn't make any sense to leave the battery connected and take a chance of potentially damaging the logic board or the screen or both. I understand that you obviously have experience (clearly) but it just doesn't make any sense to take a chance of damaging something when the screen is actually still on as you can clearly see at the 2-minute mark when you disconnect it. Also, UNLESS someone has done phone repairs before or has a lot of patience and also has the proper equipment (like you have), I wouldn't recommend doing a glass only screen repair for most people because this is difficult even for people in the electronic repair industry. It would be more worthwhile to just order the entire screen assembly with the AMOLED screen and glass as an assembly instead of just the front glass itself. Other than that, your video is fine and I know you know what you're doing. But you have more equipment than even a lot of typical repair shops have to do this sort of repair. Although it "might be" possible, this isn't something you would want to try to do with a heat gun and playing cards. Sure, a person "might" get lucky but more than likely they will accidentally crack the AMOLED display so they would be screwed and have to buy the assembly anyway.
