Not sure what phone type this is...but on the s20 plus ATT, you have to unscrew like 5 screws where he just unflapped that top black paper like piece at 1:35 in....mine was adhered down...but there are other videos showing the correct way for what i had...im glad i did not force it

Not all the S20+ phones are the same re: this procedure. See the procedure performed by Quick Fix MN. It worked for me. Very closely compare your phone with the one in this vid and the other (or another) vid. You may see a critical difference regarding a metal plate covering some of the parts. I did.

One of my moonlight careers was building circuit boards including some that functioned in flammable liquids. There's no magic bullet the repair shop can do that you cannot do yourself. Galaxy uses this glue "Samsung DA81-05595A Epoxy Adhesive" (Amazon). Make sure the edges are clean and apply the glue sparingly but in a continuous bead (to ensure water tightness).

You can get them from Mobile Defenders, but they are insanely expensive. I just bought the cheap aftermarket battery from them. Not worth paying 8x as much for OEM (aka Samsung)

One guy bought like 20 batteries & all 20 were fake with good reviews etc. Some had stickers on them with updated expiration dates. Most were old used batteries. You can buy hardware that reprograms them to say they they're new to any software. When you read their capacity it's NEVER ANYTHING close to what it is supposed to be. This is all awful & that's if it DOESN'T burn your house down first. You really have to look & I haven't found a good place yet to trust.

This was very helpful for my first time taking apart a phone like this, and I agree I do miss the old phones where you can just pop off the battery and put a new one in so easy. Mine was glued on! I had to use a little force and I was scared but i did it! Also I'd like to point out DO NOT HEAT THE BATTERY like it says in the video. My battery warns: Do not disassemble, crush, puncture, HEAT, burn or reuse. I didn't need to heat mine, but my battery was also glued to the bottom so I used a little screwdriver to get it out 😂 very carefully I promise haha

A kit comes with the battery on Amazon..even the back glass adhesive...i almost forgot that part...$20 bucks for a pretty dang good battery and all the tools on Amazon.

​@@sarekaye9936Is the battery real? The thing I've found is that the batteries are 100% fake & will likely burn your house down. Go watch videos on cell phone batteries. It's ABSOLUTELY INSANE that Amazon is allowed to sell batteries like this. One guy did a video on this & they make counterfeit stickers that go around batteries & they're just old used batteries with stickers on them with updated dates etc. That's if they even bother to do this. The scams are EVERYWHERE with cell phone batteries. I wouldn't trust ANYBODY after seeing the shit I've seen. You need to get a good source for cell phone batteries & that's not easy to do.
