@@cagataytartlac8833 I upgraded from a note 9 and I am enjoying it. Did not feel like a huge upgrade tho. Considering your phone is a generation older than mine I would say it is worth it, especially the battery life. The 3300mah cell on the note 8 is notoriously small for its size even in 2018

These reviewers really piss me off, if all you're going to do with a 1200 phone that is capable of so much more than just taking pretty pictures, is take pictures , then of course you're gonna think it's not worth the price. Let's say you have an s8+ which was like what 850 at launch, let's see what you'd be getting coming to an s20 plus. 1. Bigger screen size 2. Faster and more base storage 128 vs 64gb 3. Waayyyy more RAM 4. Better dex implementation and support 5. Upgraded cameras and camera sensor 6. Larger and faster charging battery 7. 25w fast charger in the box 8. Future proofing with 5g support. 9. 120hz refresh rate. 10. High/dynamic amoled screen. Now let's look at things you get with Samsung devices you still can't get with most other OEM's 1. Samsung pay(mst) works pretty much everwhere, and there are reward points. 2. Pop up windows/split screen multitasking 3. Picture in picture KZbin and other video players. 4. Buds/buds+ with pre-orders 5. Dex I'm sure there are more I'm missing, the point is these KZbinrs are so disconnected from average consumers it's laughable. We don't upgrade to the newest phone every 3 to 6 months, we don't have oodles of cash lying around to do that. The average person is keeping their phone for 2 to 3+ years, the features and changes that are "minor" to a tech reviewer who just got a note10 or s10 6 months ago are major to average consumers who are still using an s8 or older phone. Its really irritating that none of these KZbinrs seem to want to speak to the mass majority of consumers, those using devices 2-3+ yrs old.

What pisses me off about you tube reviewers is, no matter what the phone comes with, they always complain it’s not enough and they want more. This guy complaining that 128gb of storage is high enough for $1200. Like bruh, the features this phone proved for the price point is well above what anyone else is providing. I bet he is happy to pay $1200 for a new iPhone with a shitty screen, shitty charger in box, no pre installed screen protector, same amount of storage............non expandable, no high refresh rate, 0 features, all because it has IMessage. This is a review based on what the average consumer needs. We hold the phone to the same standards that we do for $400 phones. Oliver you're missing the whole things mate.. The S20 plus has the Exynos 9830 which is mean way batter than the snapdragon version. And don't even compare it with the old Exynos Exynos 9825 or 20.

DMR Builder you really don’t know about tech. In the US, the phones use the snapdragon 865 (I’m sure they do it in a few other places as well), and they use the Exynos 990 anywhere else in the world.

However, Exynos 990 (Exynos 9825) certainly not as Snapdragon but still great for high performance use. It's not for gaming at all and consumes power more than Snapdragon. After watching this video, i am now fully convinced that the S20 Plus is the phone to buy (& invest in for next 2-4 years) and not the S20 Ultra. S20 Plus seems like a more all round balanced & refined & practical phone than the S20 Ultra which seems like an overhyped beast. I currenly have the Samsung S7 (for the last 4 years) so now I believe is the right time for me to upgrade to the S20 Plus. Thanks again for this great video. Keep up the good work

You can disable beauty mode in the rear camera as well. Yes there is a beauty mode on the rear camera and a beauty mode on the front facing camera and they both have to be turned off by the user separately

Not a big problem, but it is made out to be. I have Exynos-equipped S20+ and it is amazing. Snapdragon/Exynos based phones are BOTH amazing phones and most people will not see a difference unless benchmarking or running a few AAA games.

I have to disagree with your point at 3:10. There is absolutely a tangible difference between the performance of the GS10 and the GS20. Even disregarding the 120hz display (which makes a big difference by itself), the S20 is substantially snappier than the S10. I was honestly really surprised. Samsung has obviously done a lot of fine-tuning in OneUI because (for me, at least) its been almost a night-and-day difference in the S20's favor.

Glad to hear it. For me, that wasn't the case. My Galaxy S10+ and S20+ feel pretty much the same. If I load up a game like CODM, the S20 finished loading about a second quicker, but after that, there's no noticeable improvement in performance with both set at max graphics settings. Opening apps and just using the phone normally, I don't notice any substantial improvements with the newer device.

That's a big of an over exaggeration, but that's also why I do recommend the S20 over the S20+ since I think the $1,000 price of the smaller phone is a much better deal for what you're getting. Keep in mind, the camera on the Pixel 4 XL is still on par with the S20 (minus the ultra-wide camera that I really love), but I've been using my Pixel 4 as my daily driver and will be switching back to it not that this review is done.

@@phandroid the cameras can be similar (I personally dont think they are since the S20 offers more camera features) but the S20 is a FAR better phone in every single way. More ram, more storage, far better design, better battery, better screen, better chip... every, single, thing, is, better. The Pixel 4xl was a let down. A slap in the face and it's the reason Google sales almost doesnt exist and they are forced this year to sale mid rangers instead of flagships. All I'm saying is, if you're not impressed with the S20, the Pixel 4XL should be at the bottom of the totem pole since it offers nothing. Cameras doesnt make a phone the best. Especially since ALL phones take good photos. The S20 price is far more justifiable than the Pixel 4XL.

I think some of the auto focus issues are caused by the large sensor so happen on close up photos only. Most of the other issues got fixed. If your photography hasn't included macro that's probably why. I'm torn between the plus and the ultra, I dont upgrade till June so got a month to decide

Never have problems with the curved screen. i ordered this S20+ yesterday. Till it arrives im using the Galaxy S10+. Great device's. QHD screen,love the curve. SD card slot,wich i have since my Note3. So i have a lot of photos at it and good to know I can still use it . 500GB. (S21 is a downgrade,1068 screen,no SD card,& carbonate body) So that's why I choose the S20+

Depends on where you live, here in Italy it will take at least 3 years before it spreads, so it's basically useless. But maybe in your area it will arrive earlier. Plus I don't think it's worth $200 more anyway.

it really depends on if you have large hands or small hands. I went with the s20+ and I can use it one handed without worrying about dropping it ect meanwhile plenty of others have to use it two handed or risk dropping it.

Do I have a defect S20+?? The camera app seems to freeze the software quite often. Sometimes the phone even jumps into reboot. And also it tends to get warm after the software hick up. I have to reboot the phone to get it back to normal. Looks like the cpu is running at a high clock speed and battery is drained pretty fast. Latest software didn't help..

How's the autofocus on these things? Heard it was mediocre even after the update for some... How's the battery life? How's the dynamic range of the sensors? If these were about $200-300 cheaper per device, they would be a better deal. At this point their are too many phones out there that deliver nearly the same Expeircne for 70% or less of the price.

The fingerprint reader sucks. But the face reader is pretty good so it's bearable. Nothing else is annoying at the two week mark and it's got quite a few step ups from the s9 I was on before.

Just some feedback - when citing curved display you should also couch it with the fact that there is a personal setup that can be applied to further reduce errors. Unfortunately a lot of reviewers don't balance the massive amounts of settings options that can personalise the phone, thus there is very little issue in many occasions. Good review though..

With how apps + technicalities are running nowadays Im moving out from any Exynos chipset devices, if only all are running snapdragon for Samsung then I will not be jumping to P40 Pro LOL!

I have the Samsung S20 Plus and love it so far, but I won't be using all the features it has because I only use the phone to call and receive calls on and to occasionally gain access to the internet when not at my computers. The camera don't get used since I have two very good video and photo cameras for that. I chose this phone because I have one of their tablet's and love it and needed a new phone to replace my old Motorola which was nearly dead and would not hold a charge very long regardless of the situation and little time used.

I love my S20 Ultra as my primary phone. Having iPhone 12 Pro as my secondary phone so I know what I need. iPhone for me is a lifestyle, people look at me like a decent man, but S20 Ultra made me one because of the productivity. I earn money with my S20 Ultra but waste money on my iPhone. This is true. I do all the business stuff with my Samsung, documentation, drawing, marketing video, graphics and so on. iPhone? Just to take a photo and feed my IG. S20 Ultra + SPen. + 1TB storage nothing can beat that.

Bigger screen, bigger battery, INFINITELY better cameras, bigger base storage, i would imagine bigger RAM than the S8, I would imagine better screen resolution......................yeah okay I may not use 5G or 8K capture but it's nice to have it none the less, but that being said it just seems that this guy is just nitpicking at this point thinking everyone is going to come from an S10, in which case other reviewers have said it makes NO sense to upgrade if you're coming from an S10. But if you have anything older than that, then of course it makes sense. Some of these reviewers I feel just nitpick for the sake of it. Like this guy. One question I had if anyone could help me with, I don't have a USB-C port on my computer, and if I want to transfer pictures and videos the old fashioned way, can I use a USB-C to USB-A cable instead (obviously separate)? I know you can wirelessly, but I just wondered about wired is all.

NOT every phone that comes with the Snapdragon 865 comes with 5G! 5G is NOT imbedded in the chip itself, it is in a separate modem which the SD865 supports. Be not confuse.

You can choose the option to buy the 5g version with 12GB of ram if you want to. It'll cost you €100 more but you can. And the difference between the exynos and snapdragon versions isn't very noticeable, they both are extremely powerful chipsets that will run anything you throw at them with no problem at all

I've recently bought the S20 Plus and in my opinion this is the best Samsung I've ever put my hands on.For personal use there was the S10 Plus witch was a very good device but there was nothing special to it (personal opinion).The Note was to expensive for and in my opinion there is no device outside Samsung to offer most of the important options needed in a device in the android world right now.There was Huawei as the best option in my opinion (the P Pro and the Mate Pro) are even now fully packed but without google services on the way.I had to choose between S20 Ultra, S20 Plus and S21 plus and after watching lots of reviews and after playing with them I think the best device quality/price is by far the S20 Plus.I think in my opinion it is the best Samsung ever made outside the Note line.The cameras are the best of Samsung(better than the Ultra), the screen it is outstanding, the bettery is good enough, the user interface and the fluidity even without the 120hz it is fantastic, the speakers and the dolby tunning is again on point.Even if it is the Exynos version(europe) this device it is for me the best Samsung I've ever held but again if the Huawei had G services I was buying the Mate 30/40 pro without blinking.

What's up with 5G in our country? How many nationwide, coverage commercials do we see on TV, and then I hear from you, and many other tubers, that we lack 5G coverage. I'm in Texas, and it's pretty common. Surely, we're not that special. Maybe, you need to research. 5G coverage is not new. One last thing: many reviews focus way too much on camera functionality......it's a phone. It's not a camera. We can get those outside of a mobile device store. Just an observation.

What's the deal with the color of the back of the phone? Are people really looking at it at that level to complain? Thank 5g for a big part of the out of control prices this year. This phone is basically the same price as the s10 plus at launch of this was 4g. To use the note 10 plus as an example, the 4g version was $1100 at launch vs $1300 for the 5g version that only supported sub 6.

@@phandroid Phandroid the v60 also is 1080p max res with 60hz, no "telephoto" lense, 8g of ram, gorilla glass 5, slower UFS storage and the demand is not as high which plays another part so that makes up for some of the difference. If you compare costs of 5g chips to 4g, there is an increase. Over inflated, but extra nonetheless. Not saying those are needed features, but they are available to use. The note 10+ example i gave is a direct correlation. The 4g versions of the s20s are cheaper.

my fingerprint scanner works flawlessly so I have a hard time believing its giving you all of those problems unless you are intentionally misaligning things or you have a third party screen protector on that doesnt work well with it. Thats why samsung includes their own screen protector on the phone because it works much better with the scanner....

Only works 80 percent of the time, not acceptable, hum... mine works perfect to me, the only time that I found that it wasn’t working correctly when it was I that was using it wrong. Placing your finger right makes it work right. As for Bixby, I often hear reviewers say Samsung should get rid of Bixby, personally I like Bixby, Bixby is no different from Google Assistant, it only need to be kept up to date in order for it to function properly like Google do with Google Assistant. Samsung not really keeping Bixby up properly and this is the only thing that is going on with Bix. It shouldn’t be removed however when it could be better. Besides, I use Bixby to control my smart home devices such as TV and lights.

That was just one example, of which there are dozens. One UI is so much better than older versions of Samsung's phones, but it's just as complicated Huawei's customer software.

100 times zoom is useless 108 megapixels on the S20 altar is cropped in and for most people the kammen as 20 plus is adequate it is a great camera and very impressive also the use on the lenses it seems that Samsung is charging an extra $200 for over height features that do not work. On top of that most people aren't dooming past 30 times anyways so if you really look at it you're getting a solid phone saving money with out the gimmicks that don't work in the 1st place. In my opinion the S20 plus is more than adequate for the everyday driver now if the 100 times zoom was crystal clear and there was an auto focus issues that they have the fix via software then yeah I would say go ahead with the ultra but in my opinion there's too many cons would the order to justify $1400 when you can just get the same plus which is basically the same phone minus the 100 times zoom
