The screens tend to be around $200, back glass is usually $15 or less, batteries are less than $20 and the wireless coil is $7 or less. Find one cheap enough and you can make a decent profit, it's mostly the screen that eats the cost.

I still daily drive my almost 3 yrs old Note 9 512 gb. Jack, wireless charge, good battery, no notch or punch out screen... I will keep it as long as it works for sure.

The batteries inside cell phones don't explode, but when punctured do produce a very thick gray smoke. I've tried it once before to see what happened.

@@lucascb8446 only the fingerprint on the a models are paired, this is because the fingerprint data is stored on the reader, so swapping them would allow the new sensor to use preprogrammed fingerprints. So someone could make a fake reader that allows them unlock the phone without the passcode or the owners fingerprint.

@@anthonyemerson3756 that sounds like a problem that could easily be solved by storing the fingerprint on the actual storage, and then you dont need pairing anymore. sure its already miles better than apple, but there is no reason to make the part require a pairing.
