Regarding your gripe around adaptive resolutions, you can create bixby routines to change the resolution based on your usage and/or battery life. Bixby routines is something I don't see big reviewers talking about enough in these videos!

Oh interesting! Thank you!

@@Thetechchap Indeed, completely agree with Mark´s comment about Bixby routines being an incredible, yet way underrated part of the software. I also think that Samsung dump it in and didn´t promote it enough nor improved or even mentioned again. It is a similar case with what happened with Portrait Video that was introduced by Samsung, got lost, then apple copied it (of course changed the name and made it look like they invented it) and then everyone one was talking about it and made it a big deal. Apple may copy the programming that Bixby Routines offer and then everyone would "realise" how game changers they are.

For years I loved LG, and had to switch to Samsung Note 20, which I really love. Also bought the Z Flip as secondary phone. The reason I am reluctant to go to S22 is the lack of an sdcard. The cloud is not as easy to manage as keeping ongoing local data mgmt, so if the phone bricks or breaks, I lose it all. Thankfully, I won't have t worry about it for a few years, as system is updated fairly regularly and the phone as a camera is not the main reason I have one. PS... never Apple.

One thing about storage that people should keep in mind: No one besides Apple is actually consistent. When Apple offers you some storage options, you can be 100% sure that the successor will DEFINITELY have at least the same or more storage. On Android and especially with Samsung, this is not the case. It happened several times that they introduce like 512GB storage and then the direct successor limits at 256GB. The worst actually happened to the S+ series. The S10+ maxed out at 1TB (you even couldn't get less than 512GB for a while here in germany) but now the S22+ maxes out at only 256GB. This is kinda ridiculous. When you UPgrade, you should get at least the same storage. And I just wouldn't be surprised if the S23 Ultra once again maxes out at 512GB instead of 1TB... which at the end may lets you consider getting another phone since you bought this amount of storage because you need it.
@long-d4k2 жыл бұрын
I don't see this as a problem
@Raja995mh332 жыл бұрын
@@long-d4k but it is Dude. You buy a certain storage size because you need it. That includes the biggest available one. Having to DOWNGRADE on a successor because the manufacturers thinks it's cool to remove that biggest option is just ridiculous. For example you need 260GB. That means you will buy the 512GB model. But then the manufacturers removed the 512GB with the next model that should be BETTER, not worse. And then you want to "upgrade" but have to compromise on storage.

Good thing I work from home and that I’m a home body, I can easily recharge. But for those who’s always out, I suggest bring an extra charger or battery packs. So much good thing about it that outweighs the bad. I've even used a routine or two for reminding myself. You can program a special notification that pops up at a specific time. Believe it or not you can also make it read it out loud. On a side note my spouse thinks I'm crazy because I also have a routine that speaks out loud when the battery gets super low. This is especially helpful outside when you're in a loud crowded area and don't actually hear a simple notification. There are a ton more advanced features but these basic ones I think would help just anyone. Best way to think of a basic one to run is anything you do repeatedly. Turn naps on I'm the car when it connected to the vehicle Bluetooth system etc. Hope you have fun playing with the feature. BTW you can also do a April fool's prank like I did. My experience: I am a big note fan. Love the spen. No other phone can compete with the s pen and it software. Love the camera and its versatility. Great zoom options. People think the 100 time zoom is a gimmick but I love using it. I love that I have a phone that is capable of going that far. Better to have it and not have it. Picture quality is expected for a flag ship. Samsung pictures haven't change all that much from my eyes. Though it is great, the google pixel 6 pro still "wow" me with their still pictures. Still have that stupid shutter lag that mess up pictures. Battery life is not bad but needs to be better. Not a fan of the battery life given it is a 5000 milliamp battery. There is some lag and is disappointed given this is a new processor. I used to think my pixel 6 pro was laggy. But my s22 ultra is a little more laggy than my pixel. Overall not the perfect phone but as a note fan, I love it. Having the spen will always make it worth having it. If you are not a s pen user, it is better to stick with the s21 ultra or the regular s21 or s22 series.

I curently have an S22 Ultra and I'm returning it. Bluetooth issues, performance lagg, various bugs with navigation, GPS, and voice dictation... It is a buggy mess and my OnePlus 6T at this point seems like a better day-to-day phone. The camera is great, but still misses some shots, has very poor lowlight performance if a subject is perfectly still (even in videos) and I just can't justify all of these issues for a $1,300 (256GB). I'm really sad about this cause it seemed like the perfect phone, and I even got a $300 discount from Fi, but as an actual daily phone, it is infuriating!

Currently rocking the s22 ultra, first of all the exynos situation, I think it gets blown out of proportion. Yes slight difference but if I give you then both and no benchmark software would you know the difference? No!! The camera is down to personal preference, I can find reviews which can makes a case for either. The battery is OK it gets me through a day. I went from s21 ultra to fold 3(missed the s21 ultra camera) and now the s22 ultra (thanks to EE anytime upgrades) My honest opinion on the phone, it is a fantastic phone. It combines my two favorite phones s21 ultra and note 10+ , I did consider the pixel 6 Pro,

It helps but I can tell the apps that are coming from RAM+ as they take a second longer and usually preceded by a white screen and sometimes they stall even longer. That may inmprove with updates, but then again RAM is 10X faster so there will be lag, though better than reloading the app for sure. I have the 8GB variant and that means lots of apps recover from RAM+ rather than RAM. Get the 12GB version would be my recommendation, the £100 is worth it.

THE SNAPDRAGON IS FASTER!!!!!! WOOOOOOT!!! That's great news! I was so nervous about this, thank you for confirming! I'm sorry that it is bad news for you, UK buddy, but I'm afraid as an American I am super SUPER excited. I'm currently using a Note 9, and I play Call of Duty Mobile with my brother a lot, it's the way we keep in touch, we talk on the phone and play remotely with each other. But he has a s21 ultra, and I have a Note 9. He plays on max settings, max framerate. I play on Medium and I still lag a lot. So it is finally showing its age. It'll be nice to have a new flagship, I love getting a new phone c: It is extremely disappointing that it does not come with a microsd slot. That makes it feel like a major downgrade from my Note 9.

Having owned the s22U exynos since launch I can say that the chip isn't good enough. Everything about the phone is great but the chip isn't optimised at all. Scroll lag, stutters. Just doesn't seem as smooth as any SD8G1 phone. Should've been cheaper than the SD version if they are to have 2 chips

I'd love to get the s22 ultra as it tics pretty much every box for me, but because of Samsungs insistence on forcing those of us in UK to use their Exynos versions I'll have to pass. I'm not even particularly fussed about the slight performance difference, it's more down to the fact that their quality control for that chip is pretty terrible. Supposedly their yields on the Exynos is bad so faulty units are making their way into devices. I've read far too many user reports of people complaining about constant stuttering, really bad battery life and generally terrible performance even just in casual use and almost everytime it's from someone using the Exynos version. There's no way I'm spending that much on a phone that might have terrible performance because it's got a faulty chip.

Last year I got some money and wanted to buy the note 20 ultra as my current phone was an a71. The thing was that at the time the note 20 ultra was selling for $1,100 and the S21 ultra for $999! So after a lot of back and forth indecision I ended up getting the S21. But when the S22 ultra was released Samsung offered $700 for trade-in plus about $200 worth of extras and topped it off by offering the next tier of storage for the lower tier price. So I ended up buying the 512gb model for $555. And since I also got the Galaxy buds live and Galaxy buds 2 the effective price for my S22 ultra is less than $400 which makes it way better than any other phone in that price range! That being said I've discovered that I'm actually not a huge fan of this boxy sharp cornered design and miss my S21 ultra a lot more than I thought I would. In fact I really want the OnePlus 10 pro, but here in the US as of now we can only get the OnePlus 10 pro in 128gb version, and while the price is very competitive I've been spoiled by having 512gb and don't want to go back to anything less than 256! So I guess I will keep my S22 ultra at least until OnePlus releases their 10T or ultra rumors say are coming, providing it comes with more storage. And like I said earlier this is still a great phone especially for what I paid for it.

I returned my s22 ultra. Too many things were just ok and that’s unacceptable in a flagship. speakers/battery aren’t as good in the s21. You could feel that it’s just the note 21 we didn’t get. Also the shipping was ridiculous, took way too long to get anything nearly 2 months. I went to the 13promax…it may not do as many things, but the things it does do, it does better then anyone.

I’m tempted to get it as my next work provided phone, but my personal phone will stay iPhone for the time being. Extremely good battery life, great camera with video taking, reliable software and excellent ecosystem with other apple products. Apple seem to be hitting it out of the park with most of their products these days (the latest monitor being a notable exception). With the M1 chips it’s a good bet to stay with apple, really, as it’s only going to better. Will be interesting to see what apple do with IPhone 14.
