idk about portrait that might be a little bit too far... but the mic quality is so damn good. Idk which one I prefer because while I like isolated mics while Im on a video call, if im showing someone a video of something cool in nature, I would ant them to hear all of the sound.

I have the 13 Pro Max right now, came from the S20 ultra, and I just miss the versatility with the cameras on Samsung devices, I'm considering switching back to Samsung.
@Mmacrossfirekenai2 жыл бұрын
Both have great cameras, but in this comparison, I think the S22 Ultra edges past the iPhone 13 Pro Max in quality and certainly camera features. Apple really needs to step up the camera quality in the next iPhone big time. Their lead in video is getting narrower all the time. I have high hopes for the iPhone 14.
@makasete302 жыл бұрын
Considering the reviews of the iPhone camera quality when it came out were praising it as leading in most qualities, but now recent phones have overtaken it we should expect apple to take the lead again with their phone this year. It’s still impressive that they still claim the best video quality after all this time.

10:47 - How can you say the S22 brings more detail here? This is not correct. iPhone looks better in terms of detail. Look at your hair! Samsung is applying sharpness to the shot (no the same thing as detail) that is what you see: more sharpness, which tends to mimic the real detail by reinforcing edges, which creates a fake sensation of more detail, but i'ts actually worse!

For video, Apple has a fight but for everything else, The S22 Ultra kills. I just wish the Fold 4 would match the s22 Ultra in terms of camera and would also include a slotted S Pen and expandable memory. 4K display would be insane as well. Would be a day 1 for me no matter the cost

So that they can better optimize and own and develop the "whole stack" like Apple can with ios. Also, fun fact. Samsung could have bought Android before Google. Unfortunately, looking back , it was a tremendous mistake on Samsungs part to not have bought it. Look it up!

That stabilisation on the S22U in the first minute of the video is so bad. But hopefully will get fixed with the release update. I think a lot of things might get fixed later on, which is a good sign (for example the yellowish colors as well).

Something I never see any reviewers mention is the shutter lag on with these cameras. My S21 Ultra would will sometimes take a second after I hit the shutter button before it actually takes a photo which means I’ve missed several photos of my family when trying to capture spontaneous moments. I also noticed my S21 Ultra had a bias towards using a slower shutter speed in order to keep the iso down in low light so often times my images where blurry. I read about many people having the same issue as me with the S21 Ultra, but some people said they didn’t. I also have an iPhone 13 pro and I’ve noticed it has zero shutter lag and will use a higher iso in order to get a faster shutter speed in low light. I would love to know if the S22 has fixed these issues as I would sell my iPhone 13 pro in a heartbeat in order to go back to Android.

I have no shutter lag whatsoever
@Flying4Film2 жыл бұрын
@@bobmarley7787 that’s good, but there are plenty of people who do. It’s a known issue that dates back at least to the Galaxy S8. I don’t experience it on my Note 10 or my S8, but it was very noticeable on my s21 ultra. There are also videos on KZbin that shot it happening on certain Galaxy phones. Samsung has known about the issue for a while as well.

I agree, I think the Samsung camera overall is the more reliable in most use cases. It’s weird but I feel my iPhone 11Pro max took better pictures than my 12Pro max and even my 13Pro max. The pictures seem to be getting more washed out as the go on, the dynamic range also seems to be worse. So often now my backgrounds are blown out. I feel iPhone still wins with video though but the only reason it’s still in my pocket is because of the eco system and work flow on my desk…especially with Universal Control, it’s incredibly useful and streamlined work flow incredibly well!

When asking for moving objects I think its more important in lower light situations like indoors. Outside it's bright enough for the camera to choose a higher shutter speed. For me is video recording more important but can't get used to the iPhone. Still grab my S21 in most cases. I really hope Samsung fixes the camera jitter which is mainly due electronic stabilization.
