a lot of people are searching for the remaining stock of S23 and they bought that right after the Exynos S24 launch, that speak how a chipset matters in purchase decision. imho the S23 and S23 Ultra is the best S series in the past 3 years. shame that the iris scanner didn't made a return. at some point the plus model will phase out and so is the base model if they keep giving privilege only for Ultra.

Yeah people don't really get the fact there is very little difference of camera, battery and spen in the ultra compared to this plus....imo the plus model is more than enough for 99% of the users. It's due to samsung's extensive marketing on the ultra, that it's sales are so high compared to the rest of the lineup

Even I'm gonna go for s23 ultra from s22 now. I never liked big phones but i just wanna get hands on for sometime before I switch to s25( hopefully it comes up with snapdragon)

I have test s24+ exynos and return after 10 days in samsung shop why? Because very very very hot and cold outside, battery life bad and lags in experience ! I have buying today new s23 for 500€ very better ...don't want s24 ultra because very big for me and price thanks vidéo

Even my motorola can pause recording at 4k60 and take photos while recording. It's sad that Samsung limits the SW of "cheaper" models to upsell people to more expensive devices. The HW is powerful enough to handle it.

I am using it as my daily driver. I would say it improves in so many area but still battery drain so fast and reception is not as good as in S23. This gerenation is quite disappointed not mentioned in having only 8 gb ram also

Exynos is not that bad but it is not yet there with the likes of snapgradon,a17 bionic etc

On wifi, or a well covered gsm aera is "not that bad". Just try to hike with the exynos on a warm climate, two simcards, and low reception - and use some gps navigation, and do some video calls. You will see the difference... If the exynos modem is continuisly try to find a gsm tower, it depletes the battery way faster than snapdragon...

Let them put it in the A55, or the new FE, better yet, make the FE the new A55 ang give it the "flagship" exynos. Not that good to hang with the most powerful out there like snapdragon, but good enough for lower tier device.

I have to tell you I thought the same thing that the s22 is a better looking phone and it's definitely easier to hold the flat edges I guess they look nice but it makes the phone more difficult to hold especially the s24 plus model which is what I have.

You may be right in terms of specs, but for the long term the s24 is better because of the software support it's 7 years compared to 4 android updates and 5 for the security updates in the OnePlus.

@@7hpmo-td1zb Besides software also hardware is needed to keep phone current: "Number crunching" performance, network reception and mobile data performance etc. And anyway with how most people use phone, significant battery degradation starts at the latest in couple years. How efficient/hot chipset is also affects to that, because elevated temperatures fasten battery destroying chemical reactions. Though Samsung's slower charging speeds are advantage for that, because higher current charging starts rising battery temperature more easily and needs far better control.

Man, you tested a lot of things, but the test environment was not good to reveal the real difference of the chipsets. Please put two simcards to the exynos, and two simcards to a snapdragon. Sit into the car, and navigate with them. Put a heating mat behind them with constant 30-35 celsius (you can buy small usb heating mat), and reduce the signal reception with some aluminium foil to 1 bar on 4g. Do some video calls, and try ro stream spotify in the meantime. You will see the difference.... With two simcard, there is a HUGE difference in the power consumption between exynos and sd modems - when there is a low reception and they continuisly try to find a gsm tower. In a citry, you will not see that much of a difference, because of a lot of reachable gsm towers with good signal... In warm climate, navigation and 4g can cause thermal throttling, and lags/freezes... That means that SD is NOT the same as exynos... Then pls to another test: charge them, turn 4g on on all four simcards, and put both phones into a metal box for 10 hours. Those tests should reveal the diff... Pls check techmo's tests here in youtube, and you will have a clue... I Appreciete your effort tough... Thx!

Most important things for mobile phones are signal reception , battery life and operating system. Most youtubers who test phones ignore mobile signal reception because they think only of screen quality, gaming performance and camera. They ignored the quality of signal reception because it takes more effort to do or pure ignorance. Your suggestion is very good. Have you actually done what you suggested above?

Bottomline - Samsung s24 doesn't even come close to iPhone 15 in the camera department..so if you care about the camera even a bit, do not consider S24.
