The Plus is my choice, too! I have no use for the S-Pen and the Ultra is just too heavy to bring in my daily jogs/walks. The jump in specs from the regular to the Plus is astounding, it's really an easy choice in my case. 🤣

Coming from a Galaxy S22+, pre-launch I was targeting the S24 Ultra this time around. However, the $100 price increase really threw me off. Not to mention, the S24+ got huge upgrades (1440p LTPO display, 4900mah battery, 12gb RAM, 1.6x larger vapor chamber) and is basically a S24U but without the boxy design, no spen, and worse cameras for $300 less. And since this S24+ will be my secondary phone, I cant see the reason to fork over $300 just for the boxy design and spen (although I really would like to have those). Maybe when the S26 Ultra comes out ill see if I jump to the Ultra then.

@@Ravill The vapor chamber sizes for the S24 and S24+ werent mentioned officially by Samsung, but you can google "galaxy s24 vapor chamber sizes" and SamMobile got a nice article for you. Also the specs were all leaked on twitter weeks before launch where it stated 1.9x for S24U, 1.6x for S24+, and 1.5x for S24 which turned out to be true.

Wanted the cameras on the Ultra but dont like the uncomfortable square brick so I preordered the S24 Plus. While the S24 Plus is only 0.1" smaller than the Ultra, the feel (size, weight, design) of the two phones is drastically different.

You're slightly asking a bit too early for me. Just arrived home with them and haven't had a chance for accessories yet. I believe it may depend on the screen protector if it itself has reflection. And for Magnets on back of phone will always reject the S Pen. Unless physics itself changes lol

As someone who has had several note phones and currently a s22+ owner I could never go with an ultra model. Boxy and awkward form. The s24+ has almost all the same specs minutes thr camera and s pen but has the superior design. Definitely getting the s24+

with latest gaming tests, exynos seems to be much better than before. it has good performance with less heating. although from what I saw the snapdragon is still a BIT better. However, people who get the exynos variant won't be at a serious disadvantage anymore. Ray trading is better on exynos tho

I've always bought the Note/Ultra to have the best and the s pen just in case I use it. This year there isn't a need for the ultra for myself. I know for a fact I won't use the s pen and since the screen resolution went up on the s24+ it's a no brainer to get it.

I got the standard one because the others are way to big... I like to use my phone one handed, and fit it my pocket easily.... People are saying the plus offers a lot more, but I don't really see it... The resolution advantage is basically almost non existent in real world usage.. Once you go past 400ppi on phone, the difference really doesn't matter.... The battery life advantage basically goes out the window once you set the plus phone to it's native resolution (Samsung misleads by testing there phone with the resolution reduced). Also for now 8GB is still plenty.. especially since Samsung has the one of the best ram/storage (virtual) swap file implementations, (the 256GB model has faster nand, so its better than the 128GB) Obviously it would be better for the future to have 12GB of ram, but honestly one of the best things about samsung is there trade in offers, so I don't think I will even keep the phone that long...

While the s24+ is great value, you forgot to mention the s24 ultra has gorila glass armor which is more durable is 75% less reflective and taitanium but its a bummer they dont have the satilite conmectivity and your shots default to 12MP still. Price increase of ultra is a terrible decision the gorilla glass armor and taitanium doesnt justify the extra $100 increase

The compact size S24 truly has pathetic specs, and it's really unfortunate. My S20 has the same battery, much better screen resolution, much bigger RAM, and much bigger memory storage 🤦‍♂️ Even the S7 has better screen resolution. Samsung is purposely ruining their smaller flagship phone to sell the bigger ones.

@@jimmyispromo I disagree completely. A "Galaxy" phone is their premium lineup. There should not be a "base" Galaxy. There's only size differences, and many people think a compact phone is a superior experience. And like I said, the “base" Galaxy S20 (four generations early) has three significant superior Specs. That's inexcusable. Samsung's goal is to force people to pay more for the larger phones by sabotaging the small ones. (Four generations later is actually worse!!) It's clearly working on people like you who just assume that the bigger model is the best one and worth hundreds extra for the prestige by comparison to the inferior model.

200 MP is definitely overkill. Most people don't even know what that means. More MP =/= better image quality. And 200 MP pictures will eat away at your storage space. Professional cameras only have 24-48 MP and that's already more than enough. Will go with the S24+.

I think this video completely ignores that for much of the world, the s24+ does not come with Snap Dragon. And in my personal experience, exynos is just plain worse. Even when it's close in benchmarks it sucks. It's laggier in the OS. It's not as supported by app developers. It has worse camera performance etc etc. All the reviews you always see are for the SD variant. So we in europe buy an inferior phone expecting the same performance. It sucks. I'm super glad they finally are also giving the rest of the world snap dragon for the ultra. But I wish they also did the same for the regular s24 users. It makes no sense to have two different versions of the same product with one version being inferior even though people in those regions often pay more. Anyway, I buy the latest note (now ultra) phone ever 2 years. And for the first time, truly, without any exaggeration. I feel like I'm not really getting an upgrade. I'm getting early access to AI features that will come to the s22/23. The only real upgrade here is the Snapdragon for me. I will probably end up keeping this phone a lot longer. But I figured I might as well get a new phone, and my mom's phone recently got damaged so then I can give her my s22 (she was using my s20) p.s. s24 ultra in black, because it's the one color that never goes out of style and that you never really regret. I don't want to get violet or something and then wonder a year later "oh, god, what was I thinking". The grey is also pretty cool though, but I don't see the point esp since I'm slapping a case on it anyway.

The S pen is worth it for the ultra. That's it for me. If it wasn't for the S pen I would get the regular S24 because of the size. I prefer smaller phones.whats funny is the Note 8 was around the same size as the regular S24 😂. Also the 200mp camera is still nice because it would crop from it

@@jimmyispromo I don't. I only have one that was $40 and a BUNCH of 5w chargers, I assume its the same for most people. These companies should include vouchers for the charger since battery sizes and charging speeds are so high now but that would put a dent into their greenwashing profits.
