For my first few Android phones, I was obsessed with trying out launchers. In the end, most of them are kind of buggy (or at least they were back then) and the OneUI launcher got good enough that I felt no further need to experiment. You should still try them out. Lots of fun to be had.

Enjoying mine for 2 days now. the only issue i had was transfering all datas from my previous s23 ultra. you get asked to connect either through wifi or usb cable, but then when you connect the cable to your old phone it's supposed to launch smart switch on the old one which didn't. you have to manually open smart switch on the old device and get through the process. other than that i can tell there's a difference in video quality in my case, mostly shooting 4k videos indoor with not much light and the videos are now much more crisp and less noises.

One thing to note about the Smart Switch when transferring data. It only transfers from internal to internal. So I'm coming from a S10+ and I had an SD Card, none of my pictures, ringtones, music from the SD card was moved. I had to do that manually using my PC as the place to transfer to, and then download to my new phone. So make sure you verify ALL of you data has been moved.

Absolutely absolutely thank you very much. The launcher I'm using is Nova prime. The weather widget app is an old app unfortunately that is discontinued called HD weather widget. Since I transfer my setup from one device to the other it seems to transfer with my backups. I don't think it's available anymore sadly

@@TKBay Yes, I use to use HD Widgets for years, all the way back to the S1 and Note 2 I believe, I even had he Pro version. But then they disappeared from the store. And i just kept using the old CAB files. But I think on my Note 10 Ultra or S20 Ultra it stopped working after one of the Major Android Changes. So you're saying if I instal one of my old Cabs it, will work on the S24 Ultra?

I have a question about sending video via RCS on Google messages app to other android devices. When I send the video to my son, I have a pixel 8 he has a s23, I can send the video no problem through RCs. When he tries to send a video to any Android phone using Google messages, he gets a please trim video message every time. Why would it make a difference if it's RCS Google messages?

Got my base s24 a couple of days ago. Pro, battery life has been insane so far. Con, the display has a weird tint vs my s23. Almost a purpleish hue in dark mode. The colors available on the Samsung cases are disappointing too. Especially the leather and silicone cases.

I would get purple. I think this phone is slightly disappointed, ways to make it not disappointing is very simple, ir blaster, micro sd slot, faster charging, and little things like switch the s spen slot to the right and maybe include a charger brick and earbuds. I am on a fold 5, i will wait for the fold 6. If the Fold doesn't have anything to it im definitely going for this. I wanted the iPhone but they aren't improving anymore

Yes but not the passwords only the apps. Smart Switch lacks of that. You have to set up all your email and passwords again.
