I had my s9 plus just over 6 years now. It still looks and works perfect but my battery is not holding up that well so i decided to upgrade to a s24. I hope i love it and it's just as reliable as my s9 plus.

I have bought an s24 to replace my s9. Totally disappointed by camera, the s9 is superior by a long shot. I don't know what happened with this new model. Even the screen is so not sharp as the s9. I replaced it because of the battery and the slower cpu, but i'm not satisfied at all, especially by photos, they are awuful indoor. Samsung what have you done?

the s9 is better in these areas: 1440p display, led notification, sd card slot, headphone jack. s24 is better in everything else. brighter screen, longer battery life, much faster processor, three cameras, up to date operating system.

The S9 also does not have a camera hole punched in the middle of your viewing screen.

The camera on paper is better for S24 but in reality S24 camera sucks compared to S9 plus. Take a pic and see yourself. I've both.

Its wild to me when people compare the speed in these phones and saying the old one is significantly slower. Were talking fractions of a second slower being significantly slower... I had a s24 that broke, went back to s9, works totally fine still and not once thought about it being slower. I can clearly see it is and will probably notice a very slight difference now that its pointed out, but its not remotely significant enough to make any actual difference in any way during use. When a phone is absolutely instant in everything it does, then it will be significant. Still, shits impressively similar.

I'm a courier for amazon & have gone through 4 Galaxy S9's and a Galaxy S9+ all have suffered from broken screens because i only recently found out what magsafe is either way now i use them for DEX one for each tv in my house. They're great for disney+ or Netflix, streaming games etc. They've never been useless phones even after being broke so I'm upgrading to the S24U soon & i hope it serves me as long and as well as the S9's have. I just broke the display on my S9+, had it for 6 years and 17 days. Gonna miss that phone. Unfortunately I wasn't able to retire it in working condition and fixing the display on such an old phone does not make much sense.

Just got my s24 and the picture quality is no where near as good as my S9. Very disappointing. I have tried taking photos again today in the exact same way and spot I always have for years. Zoomed in they are very blurry in comparison.

I have both of these in my Android collection. The S24 though is one of my favorite phones (on the Android side of things lol) but the iPhone 15 Pro Max has become my daily driver.

Love my S9+. The storage is so limited though. Stuff goes to the SD card but I'm constantly at 63.8 out of 64 for storage. The camera feature is important to me and since there's no support for this phone anymore I sadly have to upgrade. The ultra does pretty cool things like translating languages right from a conversation on the phone and other things so it should be a cool phone but I really have loved my S9 plus. Before that I had a Samsung blackjack.
