I have the Galaxy S23 Ultra and I'm still keeping my phone for this year. It's not just that there are not enough convincing differences, and there are some disappointing downgrades (camera is still amazing, the screen is still great, performance is still negligible, Bluetooth S-Pen is still here, battery is still good, etc.). There's also One UI 7, which I have a strong belief that it's going to make my phone even better than before, as well as a big chance that some of the software features on the S25 Ultra will be carried over to previous generations. That said, I'm glad that you recommend us S23U users to keep our phones for this year.

I feel the same with my S23 Ultra. It's physically in great shape since I always keep a Ringke Camo case on it. Software wise, we still get a few years of upgrades, so it's like having a new phone every time. Now, if something major starts acting up, I'll trade up. Hopefully, the S26 Ultra brings back the Bluetooth S-Pen. I used quite a bit to take pictures, specially when I have short arms taking selfie

The only reason I upgraded to the S25 Ultra was because of the more rounded corners. The loss of the bluetooth S pen pissed me off but I don't use it that much in the real world. Also, Samsumg's trade in program is probably the best there is and I also got the Galaxy Watch Ultra with the credit you get. $700 for the phone and the watch after trade in and credit.... I'm happy.

I decided to upgrade from the S23 Ultra to the S25 Ultra. I was having issues with both my battery and the touchscreen. For me, I did not want to spend the time or money to fix these issues and would rather put money towards the upgrade. The loss of the Bluetooth S-Pen was disappointing but it is not a deal breaker.

Upgraded from an S21u. On paper it's a very similar phone but the screen looks so much better and camera quality is a huge difference too. I'm looking forward to a fresh battery since mine probably have 2000 charge cycles and lasts half a day.

Great review Floss! Thanks heaps. My S22U has pretty poor battery life now, but I don't feel like there's enough change here even 3yrs on for me to feel like upgrading. Our trade in & bundle deals from Samsung NZ are nothing like as good as the US or UK. It's still a big expense that I just can't justify. If my battery holds out then I'll either upgrade to the s26U, or a better android equivalent if there is one.
