Fact is guys, I'm a android only user. But both apple and android devices have great software. And one thing people need to know is that "android" is a open operating system that anyone can buy and throw on a device and tweak to they're taste. There are alot of terrible cheap android phones out there because of this that shouldn't even exist. And that's where the bad image of android comes from. The battle will never end and the trash talking will go on forever, just like Ford vs Chevy, Playstation vs xbox, etc... But the competition and variety are good. At least you have options to choose from. For me, I'm not a typical person that goes with iPhone just because everyone else does. I look at the options, what I like and what I want to do with my phone and go from there. IPhone is a simple device to use from the get go, that's what apple goes for. A easy device that anyone can grab and go. And they achieve that goal with every phone. So for all the 15 yr old selfie taking "I don't care about technology but I'm constantly on my phone doing shit" girls getting cell phones it's perfect. Its literally dummy proof. Which don't get me wrong that's not a bad thing. Some people like things to be simple. And that's where android comes in. You have choices, HUGE variety, and endless customization. They are BOTH great phones, for different wants and needs. So get the hell over it.

Somewhat. However. Stock Android is at least as easy. And more directly set up in the menus. And I would completely disagree on the beginning. Sometimes it's not trash talking. It's giving sad cold hard facts. If it does not pain you please read it all because it probably addresses some things you did not know. Iphones are horrible. That is so because Apple is a monopolistic, greedy, thieving, scamming company. IOS is a ridiculously dated OS built on system wide restriction/lock down in order to create the failed illusion that it runs perfect. As well as so they didn't have to take the time and effort to add other functions in it. And if that was not bad enough the device itself if made up of so many stolen ideas and technologies. And finished off with many bought things. And it's all under teched too. It's now a 4inch less than standard HD screen for instance compared to 5-6inch FullHD displays. Yet priced the same. Not to even further mention if you are comparing it to a 5inch Full HD Amoled screen. The Amoled screen at the same size and resolution would still cost more. But it's not. It's more than double the resolution and over an inch bigger. Not even just numbers but Displaymate already said the S5's screen is the best mobile display they ever tested. Even in terms of color accuracy when put in Movie Mode. But Iphone still costs the same. The 5S's battery is literally about 100MAH bigger than the battery of the Iphone 4's. About 1560MAH up from about 1440MAH. Yeah. For real. Aluminum is no less a cheap recyclable material than plastic is. Plus the plastic is more durable. And the S5 has water proofing and removable battery that is 2800MAH btw. No SD slot either. So that's 16Gb same price compared to others that are 16gb or even 32gb with expandable memory. It's still stuck on 8mp. Sure it improves and is good for an 8mp. Non the less way behind others in terms of number sand results and cost. It still has dual core and 1GB ram when 3GB is becoming the main standard and 4GB is around the corner. Just because they restrict their software beyond comprehension to make it a tad smoother does not mean if they are going to charge the same price as others that they should be aloud to do that in comparison to 2-2.5GHZ quad cores and 2GHZ octa cores. Sure this time it's a more advanced architecture. Non the less it's still at a much more limiting core count and speed. And IOS might not need as much ram, but that's because it's restricted from being able to utilize as much ram. And regardless of how efficient they claim it is using 64Bit on 1GB was a desperate move to make sure they did it first fully knowing it was not fully compatible. 'Being compact might be one of it's biggest strong points...However it does not negate the fact that smaller phone requires less material, requires less cost to make. Bluetooth and wifi direct transfer. File browser. Even flip phones before the Iphone ever came out could send bluetooth files and some even indeed had task switchers and file browsers. No NFC, WIFI Direct, Bluetooth connection with other phones besides Iphone bump. All this...Yet it costs the exact same as true flagships with most innovative and expensive technologies all stuffed in as best as they can. And if that were still not bad enough of a scam. I'm sure you heard of the court cases. Apple literally wants around $40 per device of Samsung from all the devices that they claim "Samsung stole their technologies and copied the Iphone"....riiiiiiiiiighhht,,,, You know what the reason for asking for so much is? Did you know that Samsung are world leaders in chip production and fabrication? That at least 70% of the World's "just smart phones alone not including other products" use AT LEAST a Samsung memory chip? Iphones, Ipads, and Ipods use Samsung SoC's, Ram, Memory, have used wireless housing techn, and audio parts. Macs even used SSD and at some point Retina displays from Samsung. "speaking of which retina is just a term for the ppi and almost all phones since 720p have been retina and the first one was the Sony X10 in 2008". The cost of buying parts in bulk from Samsung cost about $12 per Iphone. Speaking back at the time of the cases technically speaking. If they were to gain $40 per device from Samsung not only would they then be gaining those parts for free, but they would be making profit just from gaining free parts. AND THEN make boat loads of profit by selling the extremely over priced scam phone. Even worse they have on more than one occasion even used photo shopped evidence in these cases. And a report from yesterday from a yale professor I believe claimed they used Apple's math against them. Most of their patents are only worth pennies. At total about $1.75 per device. And that most of the patents they are claiming are bogus. IOS is not simply made to be simple. It is Apple's greedy way of being lazy and scamming the nation. And billions of people around the world fall for it and feed into it. Not even to mention the billions of dollars they have scammed not even just as whole from the purchase of macs...But from school systems. It's disgusting.

The 64 bit processing that allows for games to be up to 5x faster than the iPhone 5. Even the Galaxy S5 doesn't haven't 64 bit yet. They are lagging behind. Then you had the really accurate finger print sensor that from what I have seen on youtube is faster than the Galaxy S5. Then you had the much improve camera. Plus you had ios 7. You forgot to mention removable battery. Non-removal battery is a deal breaker for me. When I'm cycling for long distances, or in another city wondering around, I like to carry two (sometimes three) fully charged spare batteries in my backpack. I'm sure being able to change the battery is important to many others too.

Excuse me, but the camera is a 16 megapixel on the Galaxy S5, compared to the iPhone's 8 megapixel. I also prefer TouchWiz because of the more features that you do not get with the iOS. The iOS is made for simplicity, or people who can't figure out how to use the more advanced stuff on Android. I must admit that Apple has a nice design with their metal construction, but i like the durability of the Galaxy more. Also, who cares about the design really? The first thing iPhone (and Samsung) owners do is wrap the phone in plastics.

SURE the S5 design language is similar to the S4. the iphone design language has been the same for almost 5 years now. SURE the S5's design isn't that great, iphone definitely has a better design. But still the S5 blows the Iphone 5s out the water. Better screen resolution for ages now, bettery battery life (even the s4 too), better camera, more RAM, ton more customization and not locked in Apple's jail cell with iOS, google now which is faster, more accurate than Siri, new health and fitness features, waterproof and dustproof...just an all around better phone no matter how you put it. And i can't wait to put my hands on it!

S5 has a faster processor, more cores, more MP, higher pixel density, larger and standard, resolution, removable battery, SD card space, more RAM, larger screen, and is the overall higher quality phone. The iPhone is smaller, slower, and the only thing that has changed in the last several models is the screen size. Of course, people who buy the iPhone don't really care about how good the phones are... or can't understand.

on IOS you dont need MORE ram, MORE processors... only on android you need it, because is to slow, to laggy, and they have to spare 1 processor for all (video, speed, network... etc). IOS has 1 for video, 1 for speed, 1 for any shit (total... more procesors for any part, not 1 procesor multi-core ;) ) ... capisci? iphone has the same heart rate aplication and function, and is choiseble ;) not puted in front ;) the noisy thing on iphone is camera (still 8 mpx), but... well worked one. in the night you see everything clear, without flash ;) then the screen diferences... could you put your samsung s5 in youre pocket and walk comfortabble on street? I don't think you understand technology. I think you meant IOS USERS don't need more ram because iPhone users don't do anything worthwhile with their phone. If you watch videos, or use any high quality apps, you want the Galaxy because iPhone apps will crash, lag, etc. Whereas it won't on the Galaxy. I have owned several Galaxies an iPhones. The funniest thing iPhone users say is that you can't comfortably fit a Galaxy in your pocket. Don't be stupid; of course you can. You are just saying that because you know there is no other way to try to make the Galaxy look bad. perhaps you dont use an iphone to on his highest level ;) i used s4 like an half year and the only thing good was the ir blaster... android sucks at all levels. i used and i still use both os. my wife have s4. i do it root on his s4 and jailbreack to mine. 90% of phones have android... why? how can you say that s5 is bater than z2? or some new entry witch are in the top (not samsung or sony). the same thing that you can observe on cars. a diesel one dont run like gasoline one, but diesel engine are makind turbine ;) for being at the same speed ;) the same thing here with phones. i think that iphone would made next phones with android, absoluteli no one will buy it. no one. another example... i use tablet for my mix (being D.J.) only with apple tablets i could do serious work... with android tablets i was so close to make a shity night in club. reason? laggy, touch response so bad, limited movements. same thing with this phones ;) i buy an samsung, something hapens in warranty, no one will change it for me, instead in 2 years of apple, they change and you can resell it at almost the same price. who cares about batery removeble, sd card? i have icloud with 80 gb space...do you have it? if steal your s5 i can used, i can unlock it... can you do the same with mine? i dont think so ;)

This Galaxy is FUGLY, I guess it's time to move to HTC.. the one thing the people wanted more than 'new features' was a major overhaul in hardware design, instead of something sleek, beautiful (and metal) we got this... the gold version looks like a band-aid. Premium phones should use premium materials and sadly Samsung have failed to deliver AGAIN. I can see a lot of Galaxy S loyalists (including myself) changing to something else in the ever improving Android premium market.

Other than design, I don't think samsung will ever stop using cheap plastic. Have you ever drained a samsung of battery? It takes so long to charge, but my iPhone charges up to 50 percent In 10-15 minutes.

I always used Galaxy phones. I had both the first Galaxy and the second one, which lasted until a couple months ago. I had to buy a new phone, and I wanted to try an iPhone, maybe the 5s. I was actually going to buy that, but when I went to the shop, the dude there totally told me to buy the new S5 (which here in my country was out since like last month). I trusted the advices of that expert and I bought a S5 gold. Am so happy with it! It works incredibly well, and the waterproof feature is just what I needed - I treat my phones in a quite rude way, they have to survive. Maybe the HUGE screen is a problem, since girls' jeans have such small pockets, but I imagine that who wants a smaller phone just has to wait for the "mini" version. This is another thing I like about Samsung! They produce a lot of different phones, so everybody can find what they need, and there isn't just ONE standard version for everybody. My mom has an iPad, and a lot of friends of mine have an iPhone, so I am familiar with the iOS techonology, but I think that nothing can beat Android, neither iOS or Windows Phones (I particularly can't stand them, since they don't have a lot of funny apps even if they are graphically beautiful). In conclusion, I find S5 amazing! But I have to say that I never had an iPhone myself, even if I found myself using a lot of Apple products. I just think that hating on each other just for a PHONE BRAND is incredibly silly...

I had quite a bit of problems with my gs4. Whenever I use headphone plugged into the headphone jack, it has a distortion, static, awful sound. Plus the camera isn't as good IMO. Most of my issues were hardware. Software does fine. There is a lot of bloatware, however it can be disabled.
