The reason why people love Samsung is because of that guarantee of the latest and greatest tech on one smartphone. I would (And i think many others would) love a bezeless Samsung. They should just launch it how they launched the "edge" line, by having one phone which is normal, and having the other without that bezel if they really want to play it safe, but it isn't necessary.

I've used iphone 6 and ios was such a boring platform believe me. bezzleless would be beautiful like when they launched the S6 edge. but the S6 edge side of the screen was too sensitive. im constantly pressing on it whenever i switch the phone from one hand to the other. im accidentally clicking on something that i didnt mean to. and this was on a consistent basis and i hated that especially when im watch a video on youtube or just from the home screen and opening apps i dont want to use. only if Samsung would really fix the sensitivity on the edges or the device recognizing your fingers instead of you palm.

The things you just mentioned could fit Samsung's currect flagships quite nicely, but doesn't fit Iphone's at all, so who is really copying who? A rumor could also be that the iphone will shoot lasers. The things mentioned in the original post is still present on Samsung phones already, while it's essentially nowhere to be seen on Iphones. Edge to edge display: Samsung is without a doubt the driving force behind curved displays, and innovators of it. Best OLED Displays: Galaxy has had it for ages, while iphones still use the outdated LCD display technology. Glass on Glass design: Once again, Galaxy has had it for 2 generations now, iphones hasn't had it for long, so why are they suddenly switching to it? I wonder. Water resistance: Do i even have to comment on it? Galaxy had it for ages, iphones didn't. Wireless charging: Once again Galaxy has had it for several generations, iphones hasn't. Dual camera: I don't really like the idea that much, since it hasn't offered any real advantages so far, and just looks ugly, so i honestly hope the s8 won't have it on both phones. No headphone jack: I hope to god s8 will have a headphone jack, and won't remove it. If they remove it, they better supply a pair of USB-C or wireless headphones, and not do the thing Apple did with the iphone 7. It still doesn't even challenge my statement at all. It's rumors you're basing this on. I also heard rumors that the new s8 would use a quantom computing chip, but that doesn't mean im going to use that as evidence. Imagine this scenario: Quantom computing becomes a thing (they're working on it atm), but i then proceed to yell out:"Samsung did it first, because i heard a rumor about the s8 saying that they would implement it into their phone!!!!" See how ridiculous you are? Samsung are far ahead of Apple on all of these things, and will release their phone way before Apple. Apple might then release a phonne that is incredibly similar right after. Does that not seem suspicious to you? Comeon, they're clearly ripping pages out of Samsung's book and utilizing them themselves. For god sake most of the features i stated above has been a thing in Samsung phones for ages, and there has not been any sight of them in Iphones, and now they're suddenly switching up their tactics entirely and doing everything Samsung has been doing. Haha. Telling stores on youtube is also ridiculous, because you're probably lying, especially based on the fact that the s6 and note5 are incredibly good phones, which score highly with both reviewers and customers. I had an iphone 6s, and it was awful. It was incredibly bugged and would shut down at random times, even though it had more than enough juice in the battery, and i wouldn't be able to start it up again without charging it. Generally speaking it was a buggy and unfriendly experience.

my note 5 has plenty bezel and I still can't make selections sometimes because my fingers touch the sides of the screen. I'm sure I am not the only person who has this issue. I would assume the s8 will have sensors for that...or something if it's 100% screen. if not, it's gonna be a major flaw. my finger tips are not pointed.

While it would probably be smart for Samsung to play it safe and further refine the already excellent Galaxy S7 in the S8, I look to Samsung to innovate and show us what will be the next big thing in smartphones. This is very evident by Chinese manufacturers that used to closely copy design from Apple in past years, instead copying Samsung this year.

Samsung should go for it! What happened to the Note 7 is really unfortunate!! However, they have always been courageous in pushing the envelope (Galaxy Note, 5.8/6.3/7.0 in Galaxy Mega, Galaxy S Edge, 18in tablet,etc) regarding mobile devices. I respect that. Go Big!!! Innovation is key. If they make something new and innovative people will careless about what was in the past. They learned that when they stopped making plastic body phones. Make it sexy, hot, cutting edge and amazing cameras and people will switch over. There wasn't a day that people saw the picture quality of my Note 7 and said man why isn't my iPhone camera that good. It caused them to pause and think maybe I should switch.
