I've used iPhones since the 3 and just today upgraded from a 6+ to an s9+, mostly because of not wanting to use an adapter for my AUX. Not sure why I fanboy'd iPhones for so long but I wish I had gone with Samsung years ago, I love how customizable the phone is, the display is amazing and the ease of use is far beyond what I ever got out of an iPhone. Also, anyone calling these phones cheap has obviously never owned one, I was also under the illusion that they were poorly made with 2nd rate materials but damn was I wrong. The quality is amazing and I can still use my headphones/AUX without having to worry about losing a tedious $10 adapter.

Funny in the short time I had the latest s9+ I was getting UI stopped working pop ups, my Eagles app crashing pop up and it wasn't even opened, screen freezing issues... Fuk that Android phone.

I'm really impressed with Samsung's durability, the s9 might not be s5 tank durable, but with materials that stiff its amazing. I forgot where I saw it but the note 8 is rated for a 500g ball falling 40cm on it with no cracks, that translates to a 1 meter fall and I believe it after all the times I dropped mine.

It depends a lot on the surface it is being dropped, he drops them on a perfectly smooth surface, that's why it doesn't crack easily but on the other hand if the surface isn't as smooth as this (for eg: a pavement, parking lot) the devices will crack a lot faster because the distribution of energy won't be even like in this case. The reason the iPhone X's display worked for so long is because of the same reason. So, don't consider these kinda tests as a way to analyse how durable the phones are, just put a case on whenever you get a glass backed smartphone. I do tech based contents in a unique new style. Anyone on S9 or S9+ (got + myself) got broken screen and how do I avoid the same mistake? My last phone was iphone 6s plus, I had bad pockets in one of my sweatpants. When I sat down in a van my phone dropped to asfalt. But it didn't break yet, it broke when I was walking towards my computer chair and dropped it accidentally when carrying a lot in my hands; the phone landed on one of the metal chair foot. The screen itself didn't only break but the phones shell/casing cracked around where the camera is. And then the cracks spread, till I broke it by spilling water on it when drinking water from pint in sleep and pouring 700ml on myself and my phone was next to me. Just curious to know how easily any of you might have broken S9+, and how easy it was to avoid. For example I felt stupid for keeping the phone in the pocket it kept dropping from since it never got a scratch from that. Drop higher than head high and it was ok. I mean nowadays it's a cheap phone, but for me it was salty 850€ loss. I want to avoid breaking S9+. The dome glass cover is like 40€, don't have money for that. Then case I want is 56€. So yea, around 100€ for both so couldn't afford those. My S9+ is here in hazard zone lol
