Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2019): How to transfer data from internal storage to micro SD card?

With this video, I want to show you, how you can transfer (copy or move) data from the internal storage to the microSD card at the tablet Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2019).
Please note, that not all the apps are able to move. But gaming apps, should work always.

This was exactly what I needed to transfer to a _hard drive!_ I have the same Tab A, and there's no instructions for that in the manual, and other videos don't really help, or they imply you need a _powered_ OTG cable (you might if you were doing big backups or moving huge files I suppose), or that you need a 3rd party file manager app. The Tab A's file manager is fine, but I needed your video to figure out the pathway; Samsung (or Android) turns the simplest things into a labyrinth. They should just have all your drives show up on the display, and you can simply drag a photo thumbnail, or group of them, right onto the drive icon. It seems so obviously better.

After watching your video, which was very easy to understand I went ahead and ordered a 128 gig SD card for my Samsung Galaxy Tab A tablet, installed it and transferred all my photos to it just as you suggested. I really can't believe that I was able to do it...!! Thank you so much...👍 Danke...

first go to setting > aplication > choose the app u want to move > click storage > change (if there is no "change" option, then the app will not able to move to sd card)

Can you clarify when you show how to move an entire folder to the SD Card, then that folder will be by passing any internal storage, correct? For example couldn't you simply move the DCIM whole folder to SD Card using this logic vs going to the settings under camera? Just trying to understand. While searching for an answer on how to transfer all my existing external sd card books, audiobooks, and flight data along with other various information, I suddenly realized it might be better to transfer or copy the older smaller sd card information over to my main desktop computer. Then Install the larger sd card and reinstall or copy the books back to the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1. I am a Newby to Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for this video. I downloaded the Manual for the Samsung A7 Tab and the process is not in there. I spent ages today talking to a Techy at Samsung technical help. He didn't know how to do it either. I'd already moved everything from my A10 phone using Smart Switch but that sends everything to the Device's Storage. At least I can now manually move items to the SD card myself, saving storage space on the A7. Is there a way to set up the A7 to move files to the SD as the default storage place?

Well, do it in reverse then? Instead of choosing the folders/files in the Internal Storage, you pick them out from the External Storage and move it to Internal.

Was hoping you had a way to transfer more of your app data to SD. Even games that say move to SD is an option, only moves a very small amount of it. Having only 32GB internal storage is brutal.

Hey. I am really sorry, but at the Samsung Galaxy Tab 1 (2019) you can't transfer apps to the SD card. It is just possible to transfer some data like pics, videos and documents. Sorry. But try to uninstall/disable some apps like the Google Books app, Hangouts (in case you do not use it) and stuff like that. This would help as well.
