I owned the Galaxy Tab A7 Lite for about 6 months now and I want to tell you how this SUPER cheap tablet is performing after all this time. It's still going to be just enough for what I would do, but let's take a deeper dive into what I think.

Forget Minecraft and clear, crisp photos, this tab is for those who want to use it to read and prepare for exams who need something that has a screen bigger than their phone and a price more budget friendly than an ipad mini. It's biggest advantage is that u can insert up to 1T sd card into it and thats more than enough space for your offline videos or books etc as a student, this tablet is good for exam prep.

I came here to see if I got a dud and turns out that this model is simply slower than our phones. You hit all the points I was concerned about and gave me peace of mind that this is just the way it is w/ seeing the pixels and the choppiness when using it. I'm mainly using it to read books so this shouldn't become a big issue. Thanks for the thorough review! :)

Got the LTE model for in-car navigation since anything larger will be too big and obtrusive. There are almost no other reasonable options in this size other than the Ipad mini, which is extremely overpriced for my use case. I would have spent a bit extra for a better quality display and faster processor though.

Good review, Samsung needs to make the next one at exactly 8 inches with a colour accurate 1080p screen, spen support and the same processor in the A23.

I got this Samsung Galaxy Tablet A7 Lite to fly my Dji Mavic Air 2s. I have no other purpose to use this Tablet, plus I don't really want to use my cell phone because I like to keep that freed up incase of an emergency and lastly, I got this Tablet to fly Dji because the Dji RC PRO Remote is just ridiculously high in price plus flying a drone with a bigger video screen gives you an even better experience when flying drones in general. I've got this one. It's cool for me, but only one thing is unaccetable. No oleophobic coating on the screen. I've try to install hybrid protectiv glass, but I used 3 pieces and there was everytime somentgimg wrong 😅

I'm probably in the target consumer market for this tablet. I surf the web, watch you tube videos , not into photography or gaming so I don't care about high quality pictures or high quality videos. All of the pictures taken or videos watched are good enough for me. At this price it's the almost perfect tablet for me.

Can u make calls and text? Cus for some reason mine doesn't...I called Samsung they said there's 2 types for this tablet one with SIM card and one without...I have the one with but T-Mobile, who sold me the tablet, told me it has to do with my plan they said none of their plans allow calling even though google has said this tablet can make calls and texts...now I'm thinking is it the carriers?

Got mines yesterday from metro for free because I purchased and iPhone 11 out right so dude was cool and hooked me up, he threw in the a7 lite for just activation fee of 25 bucks , like it so far I use it for KZbin and web browsing nothing more and it's great for that 👍

A little tip for making this faster (or any Android device). In developer options, set Window Animation Scale, Transition Animation Scale, and Animator Animation Scale all to 0.5x - they usually default to 1x. This will cut all of the animation times by half and really help speed it.

I have been installing the Samsung Tablets 8" to 10.5" in cars as detachable radio head units. My customers mainly use them to listen to music and use as a g.p.s. which is mostly better than any factory radio and works well with car Bluetooth system and steering wheel controls.

@@jesseteague2975 Hello, yes you can do that. I don't know if you can make phone calls from your tablet, but you can send and receive text messages. I use T-Mobile for my tablet service which cost me $10 a month for 2gb of data. You will be able to check your email in the car and have a great google map gps connection without using your phone hotspot for Wi-Fi.

That’s how I use it. Easy and cheap upgrade. My car has GPS and all that but I just wanted my display to be at eye level (I.e. on dash). So installed an 8 inch (anything bigger on the dash looks too big and obstructs view) one of these and use google maps, Spotify and google assistant. Dolby Atmos mode on the tablet helps make music sound better too.

I own his Tab A7 model. Got it in December of 2021. Until recently the screen image would rotate with the device from portrait to landscape orientation whenever I turned it 90 degrees. For some reason, it now is stuck in the vertical portrait position. Any suggestions as to how I can restore the rotation feature for screen display? Thanks

It should be an option in settings that you can pull down from the top of the screen, it should say something like "Portrait". If you tap it it should say "Auto-rotate" instead, and it'll automatically rotate between portrait/landscape orientation.

Bought this one for my young kid , for her online class. So far so good. Of course you get what you paid for... I just love that it feels sturdy and not cheap at all lemme tell you.. but yeah it's only for browsing and watching.. kinda laggy when I tried playing games. But this is actually a great buy! 👍

I JUST BROUGHT MY T0DAY, THIS THING HAD ME INSTALLING THE SOFTWARE 3 TIMES IN A ROW. AND WANTED ME TO INSTALL IT AGAIN AND I DIDN'T, I SAID LATER AND IT SAID IT WILL AUTOMATICALLY INSTALL AGAIN AT 2:00AM ON JUNE 6, Why it doing this so many times? And I am having a hard time to set it up so that I could talk and message on it I did what it wanted me to do but it's not working for me. I had to open account with Samsung giving them my email and password and it went through. So is anyone else having this problem? And I even put a pin in to lock my Tablet and it was just working OK but now it's not locking.

Bought today for 120 euro at Amazon (NL) just for use in my old car in bracket, for offline google maps navigation, my music (earbuds) and the digital manual of my car. It gets Android 13 and with 124 Gb microSD card, now I have in my car, what new cars have on media screen. 😅

It's a tad flow but once it gets running, it's got a respectable speed. It streams videos and movies well. It's a smidgen dim brightness wise but not the worst. The sound is fantastic. Lets be honest, who tf is using a tablet camera for anything... The battery life us pretty great. Mine will be on for days. Puts my phone, watch and laptop to shame. Games aren't going to be a strong point. I suggest a case and screen protector.

This tab has been 10 months with me, dying with only a few storage space since I only got the 32gb. It's not fast or anything, yes it's slow but it's tolerable. This tab is actually good ngl, I get to write with some active stylus and it works just fine, my phone is not on a nice state yet this works nicely.

Just ordered this one from T-Mobile for basically free for the kiddos. I’m done overspending on iPads. Apple just cuts support for them after 6 years or so. We had an iPad2 and mini original, which all my kids used it was for KZbin, Netflix and some games. Than apple just pulled all support for them. So they’re basically bricks. So if you’re lucky enough to take care of your expensive tablet and it lasts apple will cut it off if it gets to old.

I'm not an apple fan, I don't own any apple products, I even sold the one iPad I had and vowed to never buy from them for their anti consumer bullshit. I have a short list of stuff that they do well and at the top of that list is device support. They support their devices longer than pretty much any other manufacturer. Find a tablet manufacturer that supports with software updates and security fixes as long as apple, there really isn't any.
