Be patient with your grief, because it's going to be part of your life from now on. I always think of loss like gravity. Honestly, holding past 2-3 generations is reasonable. Like for me, this was a good year for me. I went from S10 Note to S24 Ultra. I'm not worried about the inbetween. I was ready for a new phone, not a new phone thats not this year's new phone. And I loved it felt in my hand... Just like this tablet. I got to hold this tablet. My last tablet was a iPad mini 1st gen. This tablet felt glorious. If I already had the S9 which is supposedly... basically, the same. Why upgrade? You still got some years of support, battery should be still be good and hopefully it has a SD Slot if that matters to you.

Pricing shifted from laptops to tablets. Yeah, laptops are still pricey but they arent selling enough and tablets are kinda taking their place. Alot of jobs are actually switching to tablets from laptops for work load. You can walk and work. They cut down on power consumption. Those 2 reasons are pulled out my back side but they hold some weight.

This thing is an absolute joke, you're literally putting a slower processor in it. Once that processor heats up it's going to be so much slower than the S9. They even had to add cooling to it. A Samsung is becoming worse than Apple, this is why I left Apple

@@Chris_855 i had a s8 ultra and hated it and decided to sell it after a couple of months . its an oled display but the reflective coating is nowhere on the level of ipads and lcd ipads are blacker in the daytime than the samsung oled tablet, yes its true, and the ipads also have better viewing angles .the major problem is instead of localising the light to a single point like the ipads display ,samsung has decieded to instead ruin the entire display by making the reflection diffused across its whole surface resulting in non blacks that are worse than the older lcd ipads even though samsungs is oled . not to mention the green tint because of this coating which makes it worse . to see the difference better watch max techs video on the samsung tablets vs the ipads and he shows it clearly.the samsung displays are also much warmer and its comparable to an ipad with true tone turned on permanently. also i want to emphasis that the scaling is really bad because its running android ,basic apps appear like 720p jepgs this can be seen easily by looking at the apps such as playstore, unfortunately this does also affect videos and at least from what ive seen when streaming on crunchyroll and comparing to my apple device its obviously not as sharp and it just feels so cheap.the samsung devices are still runnning mobile processers while apple is already on their 4th gen of laptop cpus in an ipad . the only good thing about the samsung is its display ratio so you get very thin black bars compared to ipads massive bars making it less immersive although now they are oled its much less annoying, the s pen is much better than the apple pencil aswell for writing in my opinion . the apple pencil feels like im hitting the display when writing like a pencil hitting a block of glass whilst the samungs pen has a rubber tip so it feels more natural like im writing on paper since its soft

Samsung is in a very comfortable and complacent zone. After two years, you only get a processor update that doesn't even come from Samsung. I love Samsung, but come on. Slow charging, no charger in the box, and so on...

I think the battery situation should kinda be reasoned with. Batteries across the board have taken quite a leap and I think the companies are still trying to figure it out charging-wise. Some of these phones with fast charging are having their batteries die earlier and earlier. If my phone, etc, charges slow but I get what I was advertise and it doesnt explode (LOL) I think its fair comp.

They had every chance to give this a brighter screen, notchless display, and more functional S Pen, but they dodged every single one of those like they usually do. Even if they just waited a little longer to release this, we could've had a much more potent device that could've included a Dimensity 9400 or Snap8G4, a much higher upgrade from the S9's chip. This is such a small upgrade that it's negligible. Do better, Samsung.

Ok, ok I'm late to the party but I'm here😂. Samsung Knight here and I pulled the trigger and upgraded from my s9+..with the trade-in, student discount, and additional bonus, got it for $500! I could not pass that deal up. Since this was my first Ultra, I went all in and copped the 16gb/1tb and added another 1tb. Am I good or what😂. I didn't want to, but I grabbed the full size keyboard w/trackpad and backlit. Couldn't beat that 7yrs of security and softwar support 💪🏾🙌🏽✨️🙏🏽

Like Flossy said, Samsung holds back maybe one or two software features for just on the latest device, but absolutely everything else is there just like Flossy showed, it's exactly the same software on the Tab S8 Ultra as what's on the Tab S9 Ultra, no difference, and also what Flossy said was, is it worth upgrading and spending that money for some tiny insignificant software features when you get All the useful software features in the update, no, it's not worth spending that money! And you're never going to notice the tiny speed increases from the latest chipsets! I mean all the cases and even the keyboard cases fit the S8 Ultra, S9 Ultra and the S10 Ultra 14 inch versions, nothing changed! It's like all they do is put a higher number on the box!

Idk - it’s literally the only reason why I haven’t bought an ultra tablet. WiFi ain’t everywhere and Samsung is really losing a lot of potential ultra users simply because there’s no cellular service

It is crazy, they pulled a Google and released a month before a giant upgrade with the snapdragon 8 gen 4(or the new Mediatech)...... Which is a terrible decession because with the M4, and tandem oled tablets apple has something going for it for once...far higher performance. And this is a gen samsung made no display, battery, charging, ram, body, refresh rate, camera, or pen upgrades, and don't even use X Elite or 8Gen 4.

Dude! Flossy, you’re AWESOME! Your reviews are so down to earth and meant for the average user. Been watching you for a long time and totally trust you. I was debating whether to get an S10+ or S10 Ultra to replace my Gen1 IPad Pro. I have an Android phone as my daily driver, and am getting sick and tired of Apple refusing to do the most basic of cooperation with my Android phone (it won’t even send documents via Bluetooth!!!!). I never considered the S9 series because the S10’s were the “newer and better” versions. I ended up getting an S9 Ultra. At the time of this message, it was several hundred $ cheaper than the S10 Ultra. Based on your review, there was littler to no reason to pay extra for the S10 Ultra. Especially since I don’t use (or like) AI features, so whatever of those features are missing between the S10U and S9U are negligible to me. Thank you and keep being you

Samsung, increase the ppi value of the screen, and increase resolution from 2k to 4k and that camera can now shoot 4k60fps video, upgrade these shits. We give 1200 dollars this tablet

EU passed laws that companies can't include chargers. I suspect the rest of the world will follow suit in the next few years. Who doesnt have half a dozen of them? I just bought an m4 ipad and I won't even touch the charger that came with it. I already have more than I know what to do with. I also have about 5 others I've never even took the plastic off. For most people chargers are a waste, that's why Europe passed the laws they did. I won't be buying anything in the future that comes with one.

@@Bigheadedwon I appreciate the education. I knew EU passed the law about having the same port I see now it included “unbundling” the charger. I still stand with my statement why not let you bring in your old charger when you purchase a new phone? I don’t have enough unlike you and my cables are starting to split so soon I’ll end up buying 4 new charging setups for $40 USD each and it’s been about 3 years since I bought them. If I spent $1000 to $1500 on a phone give me an option if I want a charger or not. Put it in a separate box and you’d still be following the law and people like you can opt out of asking for a new charger.
