This is the most underrated feature on any mobile device (phone & tablet). At work, when I show/flex Samsung DeX on my Note 10+, all the iPhone users are blown away! I use it during presentations all from my Note 10+ It's awesome! It's like having two OS!

@@Devolont a lot of apps aren’t optimized for android on tablets, they either scale poorly or force portrait mode. With Dex, they open like they would on a pc and you can split screen easy as can be. Dex is super super useful on the s7+

Android ruins Samsung DeX features. If they can fix it, it will be perfect. I have both iPad Pro and Tab S7+. Love both. But the funny thing is that I use iPad Pro more for working (because apps are better in the App store) and S7+ for entertainment. 😂 I think most ppl will do the opposite.

I think its a bold and unsubstantiated claim you make suggesting DeX takes productivity to the next level. In essence all DeX is, is a mode that presents the apps in a different format. The user can operate Word, for example in or out of DeX mode. They can access Excel, their calendar, emails etc in our out of DeX. An iPad user can use a mouse, keyboard, split windows view in tablet mode without having to interrupt workflow by pressing a DeX button. I think it’s a great concept but people get carried away with the hype. It doesn’t really result in any change to output compared to that of an iPad user. True productivity enhancement will come by switching to a full blown laptop or PC and switching to all versions of programs to the full program.

Where's the video editor? Apparently the very useful Samsung Video Editor is not available on the Galaxy Tab S7 or S7+. I would buy it if it had that video editor. I use it to edit all my videos on my S10+ and it works great.

The bluetooth keyboard and mouse connection features were already available around 2012 developed by Motorola and I've used that on Motorola Atrix phone at that time, using what they called HID, connecting both wireless keyboard and mouse via Bluetooth on the same device. Screen cast from Android phone/tablet to TV has been around too for years. Maybe I have used them so they're nothing new to me, just that manufacturers did not emphasize these features much the last decade but with newer faster processors and much higher Ram, must say these features are great for productivity and running more efficient now.

EXCELLENT VIDEO!!!! To eliminate steps connecting your tablet to your big TV, I found you can also pull down the shortcuts and just press and HOLD the DEX shortcut and a list of TV's will appear that you can connect to. No need to go through settings. But I do have a question that's been bugging me. I've been using DEX as my main driver for 2 years (PC is now collecting dust) but there are 2 apps that have DEX compatibility issues ONLY on newer tablets. Kindle Reader and Message +. Both of these apps will run perfectly in DEX using an external screen on my TAB S4 and my TAB S6, but when I purchased a second TAB S6, the apps refuse to work that way in the NEW TAB S6. I also tried running these apps on a TAB S7 and both state they must operate in tablet mode. Both of my TAB S6's have the same software versions and OS. Why would these apps run perfectly fine in DEX on one TAB S6 and not on the newer TAB S6? or even a TAB S7? Anyone?? Also, both of these apps DO WORK fine in the DEX environment when DEX is running on the tablet. It's only when you connect DEX to an external screen (or wireless to your TV) where these 2 apps refuse to operate ONLY on my NEW TAB S6. I'm stumped. Thank you for your video's and expertise. They are always SO helpful!

Sakitech, thank you so much for the wireless mouse example. I have been waiting for any reviewer to talk about this. No one else does for some strange reason. Android OS has been able to do this mouse and keyboard thing for like a decade now. And its wonderful that is has gotten better with DeX. As it is right now like all Samsung phone and earlier tablets support mouse and keyboard but nobody realizes it.

Thank you for this! This helped my decision to move to Samsung. Dex mode is underated and very powerful for business office users. Paired with the Z Fold 3, the combination can run 2 M365 accounts, share screens, add wireless monitor, make video/phone calls from both accounts and handle remote Xbox gaming on S7 tab during breaks.

For anyone that wants to know. here are the differences between the tab s7 and the tab s7 plus 1. S7 11inch screen vs tab s7 plus 12.4 or 12.3 inch screen i forget exactly which but its just over 12 inches. 2. S7 has an LCD screen vs S7 plus that has a superAmoled display(sAmoled is basically like an old TV, its oled but for tablets.) Whats that mean? LCD can't display true blacks from what I've read and the colors aren't as bright but go to a store and see if you see much of a difference really. You might see a slight difference but if your looking at this tablet constantly you might not want an Oled like screen that can get super super bright. There are more detailed examples of lcd vs sAmoled screens im paraphrasing. I know that for the most part its the screen that makes the tab s7plus more expensive really. I have an s7 plus and I freaking love it but then again ill probably be blind by the time I'm 50 lol. 3. The s7 has a fingerprint sensor but its on the power button and the power button is located on the side of the tablet. The S7 Plus has a fingerprint sensor actually built into the screen located on the lower middle of the screen when standing upright. Yeah, so the s7 compared to s7 plus in price is over 300 dollars difference and the only big difference is the type of screen each one has, the screen size, and where the fingerprint sensor is. Everything else about the tablets are exactly the same. Each one has 128gb memory(comes with 6gb of ram) and 256gb memory(comes with 8gb of ram).

Imma structural QC for Samsung C&T, got this Tablet about 6 weeks now. Really enjoy this tablet for various uses coz imma Hardcore user who use Samsung apps and SPen about 6.5 years now. I write note & edit pdf dwg alot on Samsung note. mostly i prepare note on TAB S7 and continue notes & pictures on Site with Note10Lite. Any question to decide either you want to purchase feel free to ask for student in 2020, unlike the iPad, you can zoom call while writing Note on Tab S7 either in Split Screen or Floating window

I know it's the owners fault for putting the tab in the bag without a stiff back cover, but is it really ok for the device to bend just by being in the bag? Just sayin😂

Samsung Dex mode, was a software update that I think came out just recently as I have this feature on my S20FE now. I haven't tried it yet - but seeing what it looks like via what your video demonstrated is really cool and really neet - Wow a really cool feature. Another step ahead of apple. Of course apple will try and copy it - but it's a first for android and Samsung..
