I also have the surface book 2 and it's great but interestingly enough I enjoy my tab s8 more now

I have the S7+ and my colleague has the iPad Pro 2021. The iPad pro is so much smoother and more responsive when opening cad drawings and PDFs. If you are on the fence, being a Samsung user myself, I would still recommend people get the iPad. It is just a much more capable device in the professional enviroment.

Samsung trade in deals are of no bearing if you do not have a tablet to trade in

Oh....and did I forget to mention that the Tab S9 starts at $799 for the 128GB model and the iPad Pro with 128GB is $749? Not saying that the Tab S9 isn't a good option but you cannot use price as an advantage when it costs more out of the box. BTW I am still using a Tab S2 from like 2014 and it still works good but it is painfully slow and doesn't support a lot of newer apps. Not sure which way I will go but I am thinking of upgrading this year.

The tab s9 ultra doesnt get brighter than the ipad which can go up to 1600 nits peak brightness compare to around 500 on the tab s9 ultra..

Thank you for the clarification! Yes you’re right depending on latest size model. The 11 inch iPad Pro is 600 nits, and the 12 inch iPad Pro can max at 1600 nits. The Galaxy Tab S9 is 650 nits for base up to 950 nits for the Tab S9 ultra.
