So to save money on gas you gotta spend $60,000 on crap and it dies every 2 hours unless you have this to sit and charge it for 12 hours. I’ll keep the gas.

Without an output transformer to provide galvanic isolation between that portable, high frequency, transformerless inverter's DC rail and its AC output, during a failure of this inverter's control circuitry, you are at high risk of passing high amperage DC current through to your EV's onboard charger. This can not only damage it, but will also void your EV's warranty. You may be able to charge your EV now, but one day, you're inverter will fail as they all do, and you will probably smoke your EV's charger. A much better way to charge your EV off grid, is to use a low frequency, transformer based inverter.

Solid review. We just got one of these and we're having a transfer switch installed in our house for some lighter loads during power outages (fridge, etc.). I did plug my Tesla into it just for fun. Same result, got over 5,900W of power and it drains super fast. Of course, that's 3.8kWh of power going into a 82kWh battery... Not much, but something.

Great video review, thank you! Can you help identify best solar panels to use with this unit besides the portable ones due to the limited 60V solar input? On some reviews I’ve seen they using the F3800 unit with 3 panels in parallel that are LG 365W each. 47.7VOC, 9.39Imp total of 28.17 amps potential using two 3 panel strings to connect of the F3800. Any thoughts if these will work and your panel recommendations?

does yours emit constant high-speed fan noise at about 70db measured near the unit? Mine sounds like someone running a vacuum, even when fully charged with no load. Super annoying. Can hear it from 2 rooms away with doors closed in between.

Full 1 year review here: Ford Lighting 1 Year 13K Miles Review: Flat Tire, Cracks + Expandable Anker Solix F3800 Battery kzbin.info/www/bejne/gom2XoKbqrt1e6c Built Tough indeed! After 13K miles, I’ve had a flat tire, windshield crack from a rock, 1 battery module recall, and charging anxiety and planning with the standard rage battery. I appreciate the DIY ability to repair the wear and tear on the road.

EVs are not nonsense, they are great city vehicles and would solve a lot of local in-city problems (think of Beijing for example). However, they tend to be terribly designed right now (uninspired exteriors, terrible crossover proportions, downright clinical interiors); plus, they don’t solve the real problem without major work on the power grid and production side (nuclear would be ideal but everybody is too scared to think properly).

I dont understand only EV but EV hybrids seem like the logical place for EV. Use the electricity most of the time and have gas for either when you run out of charge or want to drive a real car. Strictly EV only is going to become a massive problem over the next decade

Wow, good vid, mostly what was started here is just The way it should be on a pu trk. Presenters expectations could not have been very high, to be pleased that you can chance your own tire?, well one would hope, Short driver range, having to buy battery packs just in case, upgrade of home electrics so you can fast charge. Doesn't get my vote. We're far from solving our driving problem's, no proof that electric is the answer and costs far beyond The average person's means Good luck with your trk. Happy new year

I have the S7+ and my colleague has the iPad Pro 2021. The iPad pro is so much smoother and more responsive when opening cad drawings and PDFs. If you are on the fence, being a Samsung user myself, I would still recommend people get the iPad. It is just a much more capable device in the professional enviroment.

Three years later: I recently purchased SP X sq1 from ebay. 16GB/512GB/LTE version for 399$. I had SP8 before, I sold it in favor of more powerful gaming laptop. Then I realized that I still wanted a "low power" device to carry with me on the road. After some research I concluded that most of the things I do I can do on Edge one way or another. If the new Surface Go 4 would have been an ARM version, it might have been a strong contender.

Oh....and did I forget to mention that the Tab S9 starts at $799 for the 128GB model and the iPad Pro with 128GB is $749? Not saying that the Tab S9 isn't a good option but you cannot use price as an advantage when it costs more out of the box. BTW I am still using a Tab S2 from like 2014 and it still works good but it is painfully slow and doesn't support a lot of newer apps. Not sure which way I will go but I am thinking of upgrading this year.
