Just got my tab s9+ delivered but i was also considering this tab s9 since the screen size is very similar to my tab s6 which i absolutely loved and think still holds up decently today. Traded in my tab s8+ and am so glad i did, performance on the 8 gen2 blows the 8 gen1 away, was always dealing with overheating on the s8+ and subsequent poor battery life...i think samsung nailed it on this whole lineup.

I wanna get a tablet and I don't want amoled as I fear burn in since most of the time I'm reading books , but s8 has bad battery life while s9 has amoled , so I think I am gonna go towards iPad which I really don't want to as it's very restrictive 😢 also my friend tab S6 lite started lagging after few months so I'm also spectacle about it's long term used

I think then getting an ipad would be more worth it as it is optimised for more apps and has better tablet software I would recommend the baselines s9 for anyone whos only using a tablet for youtube/netflix/content viewing because of the amoled screen for the price

I'd have to disagree with the user above me. Emulation is so much easier to do on the galaxy tab. I use my tab s8 for it and love it! It's kind of difficult for me to do emulation with on screen controls cause my hands are small, so I use a ps4 controller. That might be something to consider if you're leaning towards the plus model. The base tab is the perfect size for me for streaming and notetaking as well. I just think it's more portable and comfortable to use but everyone is different. I suggest testing them out in the store to help you make your decision.

Nothing to compare between the S9 and S9+ except the size (11 inch and 12.4 inch), the battery (it's bigger but you don't notice that because the display also consumes more) and the price.... 200$ more for a 1,4 inch bigger display... Not worth it in my opinion but it might be for you if u write/draw a lot on it

​​@@abid_hihiThere is no other IPad as good for 800$... for the IPad Air with 256GB (64 are just too little) you pay 1000$ and then you have to add another 150 for the pen... So for 1150$ you get a tablet that can be compared to the S9 but which is in almost all aspects much worse then the S9... and also the adaptation of the apps is absolutely irrelevant because all the big apps have also (for a long time) been optimized for Android and also the Galaxy Tab series and the 5 which u might get and which don't belong to thoose are hardly used and even if they do then they still run well. But software is a good point! Because the S9 is incredibly personalizable and especially all the quick gestures, features and settings of the home screen are a dream. In addition, the remote control with the SPen through which you feel like in Hogwarts.. it's amazing! So the Tab S9 is in the point of hardware clearly better than "comparable" devices from Apple and superior in almost every point, also the software is much better, more customizable, more user-friendly and more individual, the scope of delivery is better (unfortunately no power supply but a SPen [which, by the way, is also much better, faster, more accurate and much more comfortable than the Apple-pencil]) and better in terms of price... 800/900$ (depending on where you live and if there is an offer") instead of 1000... Slap in the face for Apple I would say :P

My Tab S9 is being delivered tomorrow. I went with the smaller one based on how I expect to use it. The Ultra was simply too big, but I did mull the S9 and the S9+. In the end the price difference pushed me back to the regular S9 and I am sure that I will love it.

@fortherun6520 I like it. The display totally makes it for me. I use it mostly to read music with a Bluetooth pedal. It is small, but with that display the music is easy to read. I do other reading online with it. I installed a 512 GB SD card so I now have a lot of room for my music and books. The smaller size is also quite portable which I like when I travel.

@@ahmetly I like it. I use it mostly for reading music with a Bluetooth pedal. The AMOLED display makes-up for the smaller size. Easy to read the music. I also installed an SD chip so all of my documents and music are on it for easy access. I had to visit my parents awhile back and the smaller size was excellent for traveling. I am thinking of buying a keyboard case. I have a regular case now.

I'm looking for a tablet just for watching sports games, Netflix, social networks and browsing the internet. Nothing more, the S Pen is great but I don't care. Basic use just to have a more comfortable screen than my cell phone. So the S9 FE is logically enough for me. But the S9 has 4 speakers, Amoled, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. I have the budget, but it costs me 320 euros more than the S9 FE. And I want a tablet that stays solid and efficient over time. If you were me, which one would you buy?

I wish there was a model with no camera at all - I think I've used my Tab S6 camera half a dozen times in four years. I'd happily trade that camera out for more battery, more storage, more... something. Or just a cheaper cost. Anyone else who would ditch the camera? Anyways, happily trading in my trusty S6 for the S9, and looking forward to the snappy performance upgrade.

One annoying thing for me (and at least one other with the ultra ver) is that the fingerprint registration keeps cutting off between 40-50%. No screen cover, touch sensitivity toggled each way, no accessories except pen connected, cleaned screen/hand--tried multiple fingers (which work on my S8), even factory reset.

In my case it was no problem at all... if nothing helps (cleaning, washing hands...) check the sensor / let the sensor be checked but normally everything runs smoothly.

If you have an ipad pro compare with it? how long does it chrage from 0 to 100 using 45w adapter(of course you gotta use 45w cable to be able to achieve that speed) how's gaming experience on this? it using 8 gen 2 which is a great chip but i am just wondering if it runs game smooth.

I say the tab S7 is definitely capable and will remain so for at least 3 more years, you know, if you don't mind being left out from software updates. But if you have the cash or are willing to trade in your older S7 for the newer S9, you'll get that dynamic amoled display, latest high-end snapdragon, upgraded spen latency, upgraded stereo speakers, under display fingerprint sensor, upgraded Bluetooth 5.3, 12 gb Ram if you snagged that bundle deal, gorilla Glass protection and water and dust resistance, and last but not least.... 4 years of Android updates 😃

Hey Shane, I have found a pretty annoying bug on my Tab S9. So my 'screen off memos' feature in the S Pen settings gets triggered whenever I remove the pen from the back while the screen is off. I neither pressed the pen button nor tapped the screen with the pen. I tried hard rebooting and resetting my tablet, but nothing worked. I own the Tab S8 with the same S Pen settings on, but it had no such issue. Sometimes, I wanna use the S Pen for other purposes, but this problem on the S9 gets in the way all the time. The only workaround is to turn this function off. Did you encounter the same problem? Edit: great video bty. This tablet performs noticeably better than the Tab S8. On my Tab S8 animations stutter quite often, especially when I go to recent apps from an app the animation would freeze in the middle until I touch the screen again. The Tab S9 runs a lot smoother.

I'm 6'4, so plus size fits me better than maybe if you're under 6'. Suggest you go to a shop and physically try them and see what size better for you (talking to first guy).

@@kson566 well I find it tiny. Maybe my hands are bigger or just used to bigger screens. It's great for just checking out one app at a time, but 2 apps (multi-tasking) starts to feel like 2 phones. It's doable but not as comfortable for reading and split screens or drawing. Like I said, it's best for people to try them out first and see how they feel.

Nits are very important. My i pad pro 11 had issues popping the deep blacks when you're watching a dark movie or show. I would turn the brightness all the way up and be like wow still isn't working
