Interesting quirk regarding the blocked features, at least on the Galaxy Watch 4. Since they swapped from Tizen to WearOS, you can sideload the apk for it onto the watch and unsupported phone to get the blocked features. Not ideal because you need to do some ADB stuff, but it's been working well with my Galaxy Watch 4 Classic and Surface Duo 2.

@@edgars53 Not sure about the "route" feature - haven't used it. The health features though, like blood pressure monitoring, have been working great. If the route feature is a sub feature of something else, it should be do-able with a similar process as the health features of you can find the apk for it.

Great content. I have the watch4 44mm. I went from the active2, and what a difference. On a single charge I've been getting 40 hour's. I think that's great. I have a case protector and a glass screen protector on it so worries about beating it up. I'm also using a 5pro strap on it. Looks nice.

Just got my 5. Out the box 70% went the day and turned stuff off etc. Went bed at 50% it was switched off when woke and had 11% when switched on. Hope it improves after a full charge

FYI gw5pro scratches more then my ages old gears3 frontier which died last week. and first day with gw5pro and there's a deep scratch on the edge. but still loving it for the features it gives at the price point, would have op-ed for steel version in pro one if it was made.

Did you have to put on power saving to achieve the 4 days you got on that trip you forgot your charger? I have found previous versions of the Samsung watches to last no more than a day and have to charge my watch daily. Because of that, I never got to wear it to track my sleep. When I do achieve more than a day’s battery, it is very often because I put it to power saving mode that would have most sensors and notifications turned off.

You missed the target settings in workout...the watch counts your reps and sets for you... Like lunges, it will count for you... It helped me a lot in my workout

Thanks for that. I recently received my watch 5, and yes, all of the above are great. I really got it to replace my dying old ipod shuffle, and so I can use bluetooth buds instead of wired ones. I listen to audiobooks most of every day, cycling to work, shopping, housework etc, as well as at the gym. I am disappointed to find that I only get about 5 hours of battery time using this. I'm also disappointed that the charger plugs into my phone, using a significant amount of the phone's battery. Even using power saving mode, this doesn't improve much. Otherwise, it's great.

I just bought a 5 my watch5 battery barely last one work day which is 13 hours. Can't wear at night due to having to charge it every night. It died at some point yesterday at work. Charged all night, up at 5:20 at 7:20 it already at 83%. It sucks!

I love my blue watch 5! I got it for the battery improvments, faster charging, and due to the trade in deals in the US. One thing that I really hate salt this watch is the screen protectors. No matter if it's a perfect application, they start bubbling up within a month of use. You are better off with a slim case that goes around the watch.

The Samsung Galaxy watch 5 LTE does not support standalone Google maps. I took my bike for a ride without my phone and when I tried to connect to Google maps it asked me to connect to my phone. Defeats the purpose of an LTE. I returned it and I'm glad I did

I've Samsung active 2 , one of the things always bugging me was my watch would start to recognize any exercises after 10 to 15 minutes of doing exercises so hopefully, Samsung new watch fixed that...I really like his review style..cool.

Do you have GPS/location turned of if so then that is the reason why you have to charge it so often , the GPS drains the battery a lot so it's better to turn it off if you're not using any tracking. The other thing you can do is not use the Always-on Display because having the Display constantly on it will drain your battery too.

One thing that doesn’t work on my 4 is the camera app on the watch with any other phone than Samsung. With a Samsung you can use the watch as a viewfinder for the phone camera but you can’t do that with another phone. At least a pixel 6 in my use.

I have to open the pixel camera first, then the watch camera connects. If you just try to connect through the watch only it will not connect. Give that a try!

@@gordobeck1845 from Umidigi I basically got all uwatch until the version 3s and GT, i liked the simple and useful functions but the quality was not good, i used the Apple watch 4 but it wasn't compatible with Android and was so expensive for what it offers, then the Samsung Galaxy Watch but again too pricey and several functions i didn't use and now i have the Ticwatch E3 which i got on sale for around 115 USD but several workout functions are still annoying because i use it to have notifications and reply to some, use it to pay, control media player, keep an eye on the health monitoring and having timers, i never use the assistant or the sport tracking that keep draining my battery and giving me useless notifications extremely often. That's why I would like one which i can select what to have enabled and pay only for that (right now the E3 is around 150 USD which is for me, expensive), giving it more battery life (the E3 last for 1.5 days max), so if i can pay 80 USD max and getting just the functions I want, like Google Pay, media controls, se and reply to the notifications, HRM oxygen and other simple health monitor, having a battery that last a week at least, and finally it being waterproof and good to handle outdoors activities, i will be happy, but right now you have 40 or less bucks devices which are pretty cheap on price, features, support from the manufacturer and quality, and from that you jump to devices from 150

The Galaxy watch 5Pro is the most expensive Samsung watch I've ever purchased. To tell you the truth I've never dislike a wearable more that the watch 5pro. No rotating Bezel and it's not as classy looking as the watch 4 classic.

I own the Galaxy 4 watch. First thing I have to say is (GARBAGE)! Don't waste your money all these nice features that you can not use because battery life SUCKS. For you to make it through the day you have to turn everything off. Yesterday I went for a 6 hour bike ride using my ear bud's and the watch was Dead. For a sport watch don't waste your money . If you go for a swim in the pool and the watch doesn't work samsung will not warranty the watch. Check all the complaints on swimming 🏊 issues. Good Luck
