So no, you wait to get your new device first so you can transfer your stuff, pack up old device, and ship that out

Consider that someone on XDA has been releasing versions of Samsung Health that unlock all the features, allowing it to be used on any smartphone, not necessarily Samsung. A question: assuming I deactivate AOD and leave only the sensor active for detecting abnormal heart rhythm or sleep apnea or abnormal glucose levels, how many days does the battery last?"

Well considering Samsung never had this issue why would you do it now. At least Apple were consistent from the start and because they make the OS and phone you can understand the fencing. Samsung runs on android. There's no need to put up a fence 7 years later.

Good review. However, about the comment about shamig Samsung for keeping some features excluvive to their phones. My comment and opinion is that all top tech companies love to keep certain features exclusive. We all know this I don't know why this keeps coming up on many reviews. I think is because people want to be able to keep whatever brand they still have and still be able to use fully all of the features of other brands for free. But lets be real, from the business stand point that is not how the world works. Tech companies would always prefer customers to stay all in with them for obvious reason (MONEY!!!). There is no incentive for you to buy their product if you can just use it with other brands of phones. Apple do it in all their products, same with Samsung and others. To me this comments makes no sence even bring it up. Tech companies across the board do it all the time.

@@lakis1605 I 100% agree. There is no reason not to have it on the Watch 7. The hardware is basically the same. But they are limiting features because the Watch 7 sells for a lower price. This is something that camera manufacturers are notorious for doing. Using the exact same hardware in almost all their camera bodies, but trimming features because it sells at a lower price point. It's really shady economics.

I still see OS lag and as of right now I don't see any indication of better battery life. Wonder if you can get 3 to 4 days of battery life when correctly optimized like with the watch6 classic?

The os lag is because it is pre release software the stable os is buttery smooth. Also you can't expect 4 days battery life on these things it just won't happen(unless you get an ultra)

@@Abdul-dw2rp I get three to four days of battery life with the watch6 classic as I have it optimized for battery life. Do the same with the watch seven with battery optimization it should get 3 to 4 days out of it. I'm pretty sure with the 7 Ultra you can get 5 days of battery life out of it just like you can with the watch5 when it's optimized for battery life. Now if you use any of the health features on these smartwatches, then of course your battery life is reduced to the typical 1 to 2 days.

Samsung missed the bus designing the same band attachments to its watch 7 models as the watch ultra. The current band attachments are outdated in watches 4, 5, 6, 7. If it is a technique to encourage people to buy Ultra at a higher price, it may not happen. They may have to price it closer to 7.

Agreed. The Ultra has a face design that is well, for a select audience (I think it's pretty ugly). The bands definitely appear to be much better than the standard one that came with my Watch 4, which had that massive gap issue where the band connected to the watch itself.

You are wrong about galaxy 6. It is much better then 4, and 5. I have them all. Also to really see battery performance you need to weare wath few days to let watch learn your usage habits. After few days battery will last longer then in first few days. Now on watvh 6 i get 2 full days on usage, while in first few days it lasted less then 1 day

How do you get that much battery life from the 6? I use mine for running a lot, with health, while listening to youtube music, with LTE, I get like 4-6 hrs from full charge. I love the watch my battery has died mid run a couple times though which kind of bothers me. I am still a fan of he product and will buy more in the future.

Please test buds connection quality while running. On my 4 the quality of the connection is locked to the right earbud and there's intermmitent connection drops on the left bud. I'd also love to see it with a different strap color since the green is polarizing to some.

Great? It inherits the same major issues: worst battery (vs the rivals), overheating in the LTE version, removal of the digital rotation and the lack of physical nor a rotating ring/button; and finally it got uglier, instead of prettier. The only real upgrade is the more powerful chipset and more AI, as well as some extra health indicators.
