I know this video is older, but there's now an awesome remote camera app called "wrist camera". The picture is of a red and black shutter lense (or whatever). It works AMAZINGLY. I don't even have to have my phone u locked for it to work.

I've been wandering the internet over the last few days to try and decide which smartwatch to buy in the near future, and this is by far the best one I've come across, as much due to the fact that your view of a smartwatch's functionality reflects my own, as it is to the presentation itself. I have a Galaxy Note9 and I have the Galaxy Watch 42mm Midnight Black. The issues you mentioned, especially Spotify and the built-in music player, worked fine for me every single time. I think it is just a Galaxy and non-Galaxy phone kind of thing. I’m not too sure why there is such a big difference (I noticed a few functional differences when I used the Gear S3 with a non-Galaxy phone as well), but hopefully this will be fixed.

Glad you mentioned the MTA because I use that all the time on my gear S3. Small town are slow to update. I know Walmart is the worst. Such a big corporation you would think would be on the ball, but even the small local market has NFC

Great review both in terms of content and delivery. I'd held off from buying the watch because of no Google Assistant and the poor mans alternative, Bixby! I was beginning to sway and had almost persuaded myself to buy it. However, you comment about the sub optimal performance of Samsung VR cemented the fact that it is not for me.

I loved it that you are using this on a Pixel 3 XL. I'm doing the same and it works great! I am a fan and prefer WearOS but it is back to being a mess again in my opinion. I need better health tracking and awesome battery life. The Galaxy Watch does that and more. This is truly the best SmartWatch for Android...period.

It's bad not to charge with other Qi chargers. Because think about to go holiday for 10 days and we have to carry charger for galaxy watch. So it will occupy an extra place in your bag. I know it's small but i'd rather to carry less goods. By the way Thanks for your video.

I have the LTE version and think it's well worth the money for the extra battery capacity alone. Connectivity wise however, I personally wouldn't get a BT only one. Without LTE it's just a watch without your phone. No more walking around the office or house with my phone as it's not necessary. I also don't take my phone out on errands any more either. No need. I also don't have any issues with voice dictating text message. It's worked pretty spot-on from my Gear S v1 back in 2014 and still does on this version.

This watch works great. Make sure you have strapped/tighten on wrist for accurate reading.

I bought 2 galaxy watches from two different shops. And I can tell you that the heart rate monitor and the step counter don't work well. The step counter under count by thousands of steps and the heart rate monitor is accurate only if you stand still. Sometimes it won't read anything at all. If you don't believe me then Google it before you buy this watch.

I've had the same issue with the spotify remote app. The problem is the version on your phone. For some reason, spotify has removed the connectivity between your galaxy watch and your phone on the latest versions (bug or intentionally?). You have to download version 8.4.77.779 on your phone. With that version it works perfect. I use it every day. Personally, i love my galaxy watch. I have the 42mm midnight black version (i have baby wrists and the 46mm was just too big for me). The first days you check a lot of things out so you will have to charge it every day but after that i get a solid 2 days of battery life, which is fine by me. I've compared the watch against a Ticwatch pro, and the Ticwatch is a very good smartwatch in my opinion but i prefer the galaxy watch and tizen OS, because of the better build quality and the cleaner software experience. I do not miss any apps, it has everything i need and every function i need works perfectly.

Very nice review. I've got that watch for a week. I run almost every day, and was looking for a watch with music capabilities (I also have a Garmin Forerunner 35), to be able to let my phone at home while running. That Samsung Watch works fine for that (with Jabra 65T headphones). But other than that music connexion with BT headphones...to me the watch itself is useless : running apps are really bad compared to Garmin Connect, Weather only shows weather of the day...Bixby is a joke, and the few apps there are in the galaxy store are disliked by too much users. The good news for samsung is : there is no better smartwatch yet. And Garmin watches with music don't work correctly (on some, you have to wear your watch on your right arm)

I haven't gotten mine but as far as I know it should all work the same with Bluetooth. THE LTE is just a standalone basically so u can take it with you without the phone.

Been using Samsung watches from the start, not gonna lie they took a dive with the last generation, and apple watch is definitely superior in my opinion. Much more accurate in its health stats etc..and more so its very comfortable to wear, battery life is great, really cant complain.

I just purchased the 42mm with the Best Buy black friday sale and am really excited for the watch, but I just can't get over the software behind the watch. I have already tried out the watch and I LOVE it, but I really wish the watch was powered by WearOS because Bixby is a literal joke and Tizen is very weak.

Why would you want mst on a new tech device. With emv changes for payment terminals, mag stripe transactions will no longer be accepted. Mag stripe cards are to easy to compromise which is why card issuers and merchants are moving to contactless or chip read transactions. No point paying for something that's being phased out. .

I got the 46mm and the two tone color is awsome i love my watch and actually find it better than Google wear OS all i can say is that the galaxy watch may be open to all kinds of people even apple users but keep in mind if you want to get all the good stuff out of it right well using a samsung phonr is the way to go mines paired to my note 9 and works perfectly fine no issues

What’s better Samsung galaxy or Huwaei GT2 ? I feel that the Samsung model has more smart features and u can actually answer messages and read emails, BUT the gt2 can save almost 500 songs so u can go for a walk without having ur phone with u but it has less features less watchfaces and u can rly read or answer messages and emails , the price is almost the same , what do u suggest ?
