@@pc-easy The Samsung microphone was more sensitive, but in practical use. I don't want a sensitive microphone. I want there to be a bit of a noise gate and it does seem that the razor has a higher floor

FANTASTIC, top notch review!!! New sub here. Thanks for the in depth review. However, towards the end, there’s an ultra wide still (night shot, building says ‘Cine-something’. It’s on the left for Razr, but I think it was meant for the right, the Flip. SOOO many comparison shots and videos.. that’s such hard work! Great job! I have to say, I am leaning towards the pink Razr for the nostalgia. 80’s kid here, so I’ve lived through the evolution of mobile phones. Phones just aren’t fun anymore, but it’s seemingly heading in that direction. I wonder, though, should I go with the Flip 6, as I feel like it had better low light stills. Oh, the things to ponder!

Z flip 6 camera really isn't as sharp and details are deffo more present on the razer far distance leaves look better on the Motorola 😮

Maybe I'm crazy but I thought the Motorola shot's and video looked sharper, but maybe they were just oversaturated, but at the very least, on par with Samsung

Exactly that! Samsung captures the more realistic colors, while Motorola focuses on saturation to make it look more colorful. A lot of phones do that nowadays, I personally prefer Samsung!

picture/video quality is on par on both.zoom is sharper for razr in good light but vice versa in dark. UW is a plus for flip6. camera is important but hinge durability is more important in a flip phone. razr40 failed to impress last year. waiting for durability tests for razr50.

Flip has a better design build but Razr has a better cover screen and its cheaper and you'll get Moto buds earphones with a purchase of the 50 ultra

Samsung stabilization on low light definately has an edge over the RZR phone. Overall any of the 2 phones are great. Telephoto for wide angle trade is the main difference everything else its just fair.

Thank you so much for this. I've been waiting for a comparison. Well technically the Flip seems more color accurate. Especially if you look at the sky. The Razr is using an old Samsung trick by over saturating and exposing the shot. It makes the pic and video just Pop. I feel like the cameras traded blows a few times. The audio is just ok on either. I did notice a few times the Razr video becoming shaky. Lens set up is a personal preference here. 2x oprical zoom vs wide angle. The one for sure thing you will get with Samsung is a constant refinement and improvements of the camera and phone with timely updates. Sammy's has always been really good about that fine tuning stuff. I will say I think the winner here right now is probably the Razr especially if you like that Pop of extra color look with a slight over exposure for brightness.

Got to say im a little surprised. I think the Razr pics are better overall. Many of the SS pics are darker and its hard to see the guys face in some of them. Audio is good on tje Razr and saw another video and tje soeskers are nice as well. Think i know which ine if get amd ive neve had a Motorola Smart phone.

Why does the audio from the RAZR+ sound strange, as if it was filtered by bad digital noise cancelling software, whereas the Z Flip 6, despite capturing more background noise, sounds much more natural and pleasant to the ear?

i think it comes with ai noise filtering and camera settings that can make it sound and look weird but you can turn those off

Battery life has improved. It's hard to give you a concrete number since everyone's usage is different, but it should hopefully give you an extra hour or two of battery life.

In my subjective opinion, the Razr+ looks sharper while the Samsung seems more softer. I prefer the Razr+ in every way except it seems that the image stabilization is not as good as the Samsung.

My front camera does not focus properly if I take a closeup photo of my eye for example, and the photo is blurry. Is there some setting to simply change this? When I press the screen to refocus, nothing happens

Unfortunately focal length on the front camera isn't good for close up shots like that

Honestly surprised the Razr did as well as it did. Flip 6 still the winner in the overwhelming majority of the comparisons but the Razr definitely up there.

Oooh I was ready to give the edge to the razr until those night time vids, the motion smoothing seems to just not be working properly there, im a degenerate so i do a lot at night and the night vids on the razr just look bad ugh. Also im stubborn and hate streaming/slash like to keep a large amount of music on my phone so I just cant with the fact the razr is capped to 256g of storage in the US, kinda bs since theres an option for 512g elsewhere. That larger cover screen is tempting too but then theres the lack of long term support for the razr that also gives me pause, its nice moto is providing good competition but im still leaning Samsung on this one.

I think it really comes down to the picture. I THink samsung has the upper hand for portrait shots and low light shots, but I do like the colors from the Razr during the day. I just don't like the fact that the Razr doesn't have an ultrawide camera. For that reason alone, I'd choose the cameras of the Flip 6.

In general, the Razr+ looks better. The only edge I give over to Flip 6 is the color/hue. Razr+ tends to make photos a bit warmer than the Flip, but the contrast and sharpness on the Razr was clearly better. All can be adjusted post processing.
