The IP rating of Buds3 Pro is a downgrade from previous one, not an upgrade. Buds2 Pro has IP67 while this new Buds3 Pro has IP57. Honestly this is quite a disappointing product. No real upgrade, worst design.

Something interesting I've noticed, is that only Apple gets to subtly refine its products without condemnation. We've been looking at the same general iPhone design for several years, and its been okay. Last year the big announcement was an "action button." This year, it's the ability to move apps around on your home screen, and that's fine. For some reason however, Android manufacturers are expected to come up with the next big new thing every year. Samsung is supposed to randomly play with the Fold's design, randomly start adding battery capacity while making it thinner, randomly add a digitizer to the cover screen, and if they dare release a phone that looks like last year's, its a problem. Nevermind that this is the first foldable with dust and water resistance official rating, while being the most physically durable. Nevermind that this is the only foldable on the market that offers 7 years of software and security updates. Subtle refinements that create a perfect product don't seem to be allowed to Android manufacturers.

That is because apple usually announces some software features available on that generation of phones only, these features being completely new in the iPhone history, while Samsung only emphasizes their exterior changes and spec bumps and barely makes anything new on the software side for its fold and flips. Now this might not be 100% accurate but it’s just how I’ve seen things stand lately in iPhone ads

My favorite pair of buds was the live . I still have them, and I'm actually wearing them right now. I'm a runner and they never fall off. I ran a marathon with them and they were so comfortable the whole time . I'm not sure why samsung is taking this approach. I don't want an apple product. Also the ultra watch sucks.

I ditched my fold. I can't get behind it til it improves in many ways. S-pen in the phone, works on cover screen, and better inner screen protector longevity. I had to replace it twice within a year and a bit. I'm very careful with my phones. Sold it and bought a s24 ultra instead

@@1993rufus I own a Fold 5. Money is not the issue. The lack of innovation is the issue. The Fold 6 is nothing more than an aesthetic update and an incredibly minor one at that. That's the problem. There were low-hanging fruit that Samsung could have and should have grabbed, most of which have already been done by their Chinese competitors, and they chose to settle for little more than nothing and then charge $100 more for it over the Fold 5. I'm not sure why you're getting defensive over a product from a multi-billion dollar corporation rather than looking at this from an objective consumer-based perspective, but you do you.

Why did Samsung Canada not offer the same deal on the Galaxy Watch Ultra as the rest of the world. They jacked up the price for difference in the Canadian dollar. But only offered the same trade in price as they did in the USA in US dollars. The trade in values should have been adjusted as well, but sadly, it was not. So our trade-in valve was much less... keeping my Watch 5 Pro until they play fair for Canadian customers. 😮😮😮

As a Samsung user, their need to copy Apple lately, and pretty unashamedly (down to the watch accent colors and exact earbud lineup/naming scheme, etc) is getting old to me, and it makes them look like they don't believe in their own ideas and directions for products, when they just imitate Apple these days.

Sad we didnt get the tablet this year. And regarding the buds, I liked the original buds 2 form factor a more. Was the buds 3 abit more comfortable than the older version in your experience? I kinda wish samsung improved on the Pulse Width modulation (PWM) refresh rate on the fold and flip phones, as I am PWM sensitive, and just 5 minutes of using the flip 5 was enough to give me headaches, and hope they do so to their future phone releases too!

I only wore them for a bit, but the Pro definitely felt more comfortable and easier to handle, the regular 3 kept slipping out for me. Stems have squeeze (replaces taps) and swipe for volume.

As someone who's had the Watch 5 Pro for the past couple of years I'm really looking forward to the new Ultra phone with the new processor that's 3 times as fast yet 30% more efficient. Other than that I'm still happy with my S24 Ultra and won't be switching to a foldable quite yet although they are getting closer to getting me off the fence. I'd like an even wider front screen on the Fold 7 along with the same Armor glass on the front screen like the S24 Ultra.....I just love the anti reflective tech which is really noticeable and useful in day to day use. The Fold 7 hopefully will come with a much bigger battery and at least 45 watt charging. I'm keeping my Buds 2 Pro earbuds as they sound unreal and I don't feel the need to upgrade although the new Buds 3 Pro look like they have some nice features. I may consider the new ring at some point but don't really see the need if I already have the watch Ultra.

I have actively avoided ear buds with this design. Due to the cold i wear a beanie a lot so i always go with the original Samsung in ear design. My Buds 2 Pro are a winner for me so i will be sticking with them. Only thing of interest to me from this release was the watch pro (woops) watch ultra. Great impressions video as usual Thao.

Definitely going to keep an eye out for a full review of the new buds. I get the jokes about being an apple copy cat, but one of my main issues with the current design of the buds is that with touch controls on, you can't really adjust them in your ear without pausing your music or skipping to the next song. It is quite annoying. I love my buds 2 pro and had the original buds as well and loved them, but the design choice made it more difficult in day to day use. While Samsung is getting the apple jokes, I don't think this was specifically to compete with apple's design. I feel like they actually listened to feedback from the last few generations of buds and actually made the design choice that was better even though it may have been worse optics for their brand. The buds have been better than airpods in every way for me and hopefully will continue to be with this new generation, especially if they are now having a similar design to competitors. Can't wait for your review!

I feel bad for creators trying to sound hype over something so mediocre. I'm currently a fold 5 user, long time note user I'm more than willing to spend money only if they made a more substantial upgrade over last gen. I actually prefer an update for the buds live over this airpods knockoff. The transparent cover looks cheap like something from Wish. It's nothing more than a software update something they could've done as an OTA if they wanted to.

Not sure why some people are so triggered by the stem design with thoughts that are clearly stemming from needing to be a contrarian lol... anyways, I have to say, I'm glad Samsung is trying the tactile stem like the Nothing Ears. As someone who does activities like bouldering, touch controls aren't always practical or reliable. hey thao how is the comfort and fitment on the new buds 3 pro. i have the galaxy buds pro right now and it is very uncomfortable for long use, doesn't fit that well, and just feels like you have to stick it in your ear instead of the earbuds comfortably sitting inside your ears. I have a cheap 30 dollar earbuds with no brand and that sits comfortably much better than my current galaxy buds pro. so i was wondering how is the comfort level and fitment for the new buds 3 pro?

Honestly, sort of bummed out that they aren't going all out. The Z phones feel like such a minor upgrade. The watches look boring, and the Ultra phone's design is weird. Circular screen, but the bezels are squared? It's like they wanted to copy Apple. The fact that the Buds 3 look like Airpods really cements that notion.

Agreed - no real upgrades but always an increase in price on an already ridiculously priced device! They have been trying to copy Apple for years, which is disappointing - the whole reason Samsung exists for me is to have an alternative to Apple, not a replication! It's mostly apparent in their unbelievably terrible price increases when adding a bit more storage to each device. That was one of the things I hated most about Apple - and now removing the SD card options and forcing us to pay the ridiculous prices...definitely a giant step backwards by Samsung. Keep it up and there won't be a reason not to just buy an Apple device.

Why do you say that the Galaxy Watch Ultra is a response to the Apple Watch Ultra and not a continuation of the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro? Which were just released at the same time as the Apple Watch Ultra. And they also had a titanium case and sapphire glass and were intended to sport and outdoor activities.
