Great tablet for basically everything. kzbin.infoUgkxLNmVocUk8tnSkwWIlYSNFzWRIaFTBuzS I bought it specifically for art, and that 4k screen is really fantastic for it! Also has LOUD audio, even tho the speakers aren't in necessarily prime locations it really projects!You do need to get a case for this bad boy IMMEDIATLY though as it doesn't come with one.Battery life is really good! Standby time us FANTASTIC. This guy can go about a week on standby and be just fine. The screen is massive so the longer you have the screen on, brightness especially, it will effect battery life. I am very happy with it though!One thing that I didn't consider is that since the screen resolution is so high, viewing ticktocks/ reading webtoons can be slightly blurry. There is no way to turn down resolution either, so it just be like that.Would still judge this bad boi at 10/10 for my first tablet. I've had it 3 months now and its not shown any evidence of "slowing down" or anything. Love it!

Note 20 Ultra still has superior cameras and a 512GB option in the U.S. Samsung should've at least included a Micro SD card slot in the Z Fold 2 to compensate for the WEAK 256GB of storage. There's no excuse for a $2,000 phone to have cut those corners. Z Fold 3 better make up for that.

@@marqj301 TYVM, and that's pretty dayum good. So, honestly, the main reason I asked is this: I can currently get a Fold 1 for ~$1350, brand new. I can live with the Fold 1's 2019 internal specs, no 5G or fast refresh-rate, camera variances, no "compose mode", and even the big inner notch. The cost savings vs a Fold 2 are even more worth it IMO because of the included Galaxy Buds and case. My only two big concerns are the small outer display & the inner display's fragility. Is the Fold 1 at that price still worth it in your opinion, or am I "crazy" ? 🤔😁 I really would only use the outer display for phone calls, quick texts, and Notifs; I'm hardly on social media. Did you find the Fold 1's outer display unbearable to use, and did you have any fingernail scratch or other issues with the inner display ? TIA for any/all feedback U can provide...🤗
@marqj3014 жыл бұрын
@@Sharky165 starting off, the original Fold is still a great phone and worth it especially if you can get one brand new or mint condition. I bought mine off of Swappa in good condition. The small screen didn't bother me at all. It was small, but I adapted to it. Plus, I only used it for quick texts and phone calls like you mentioned. Speaking of which, I believe the original Fold has an advantage over the Z Fold in regards to case options. The Z Fold currently does not have any good cases and most cases rely on adhesive to at least cover the front. That's the trade-off...you have a bezel-less screen, but there aren't any cases for the design. There are plenty to cover the back of the phone, but that's it. The thought of a $2000 phone that's half protected bothered me for a while, but I took the plunge in hopes of a particular Spigen case being the solution. I'll find out in a few weeks when it finally ships. Other than that, the durability is great in my opinion. I will say that the hinge on the Z Fold 2 feels much, MUCH better compared to the original. The best way I can describe it is that it has a more solid feel to it when you open and close. Overall, both are great devices. Can't go wrong with either one.

Bought this thing a month ago "just to try" while I was still on my Note10+. Just within a day I decided to trade in my note for this thing--it's the new "note" with its amazing screen size and portable form factor 😍 couldnt look back!

I predict the fold 2 should be renamed as the Note once it gains pen support. Don't want to see the note name retire but this phone is the future and they keep making the regular Galaxy phones bigger and bigger

Great review! I’m glad to see this was the phone that had you pop the cork! I have the original Fold and right now Samsung is offering $1000 to trade it in to get the Fold 2. Half off with trade in is extremely tempting!

The MI Mix 3 5G I currently have is probably the last device with that form factor I'll use. Considering the arrival of the 5 nm Snapdragon 875, better 5G chips, the democratization of foldables (by that I mean getting more affordable) I have no reason at all to buy a phone now or in the next 6 months. In fact it'll probably be about 12 months and around the end of Techtober '21 I'll decide what I'll upgrade to.

Thank you Captain2Phones/MrMobile. As always your content is above the rest, always being a real life "reviewer". You have and will continue to set the future standards for current Mobile computing, and the devices I wish I had as a kid... I was up and down on my choice for the latest this year... After multiple choices and much $$$ I finally decided to stay with my Oneplus 7t pro 5g McClaren... As a second device(2 Phones... +) My main device has been The Surface Duo! Lots of compromises, but I still can't get over the 2 separate screens for the way MY brain works. I comend Samsung for this one... I tried and still can't find a use other than media consumption for the "Complete" device as of yet. I look forward for more content on the Duo. As always stay Safe and Mobile my friend!

@@gagne6928 🤦That's not a normal tablet aspect ratio/resolution dumbass... Tablets haven't been 16:9 since like 2011. They are basically always more square than that so portrait mode usage isn't totally useless.
@Cooe. Жыл бұрын
It does have the same aspect ratio as a tablet... The Fold 2/3's aspect ratio is super close to a Surface Pro's, and not far off an iPad's, and the Fold 4 is only just that tinest bit more square than 2/3.

I had this for a week and I was honestly blown away by it. Seriously it was just incredibly polished and amazing to use. I took it back however because I was just too nervous to use it as my daily! I just knew I'd drop it. But the 2 different screens and the ability to set them up independent from one another was an absolute game changer for me!!
@ElZamo924 жыл бұрын
I don’t think that tiny phone is killing any tablets for two reasons: 1.- It is not really a tablet, but a phone with a big screen 2.- it is EXTREMELY fragile and expensive, not a good combination for something you’ll be carrying all of everywhere. 2.5.- Since it is EXTREMELY expensive, it will not be very popular, so supporting that kind of non-standard device isn’t a priority for developers (like Google).
@Spearra4 жыл бұрын
Also LG has been teasing that scrolling phone idea for awhile now. That might have a broader appeal since the size can sorta be whatever the user wants it to be instead of two sizes that are stuck like that.
@stuart31784 жыл бұрын
1. It is better than a 'tablet' its more comfortable to hold ie a mini tablet. 2. It's not EXTREMELY fragile the build is solid. If you drop it , it is a sturdy as any other premium phone. 2.5 They are selling them as quick as they are making them ie far more then they expected. It is a niche product at the moment for sure and is definitely the way forward.!

Whatever you do, IMO do _NOT_ get rid of your iPad if it's a Pro model; I think you'll deeply regret it. You'd be giving up a much larger display with Pencil support, not to mention ubiquitous app optimization, 5 years of OS updates, and performance (benchmarks and real-world) that absolutely crushes the Fold. No diss to the Fold, I think it's awesome and FTR, I prefer Android in general on my daily driver device (Pixel owner here). But no Android tablet can touch the iPad Pro in the ways I described. If you own a Pro, then you already know that its performance is equal to or better than a fully specced-out MacBook Pro. Absolutely bonkers ! 🥴🤣

If the improvements keeps up. The Fold 3 might be the closest thing to a “finished product” as it can get before foldable eventually go mainstream. Like the Fold was a “Alpha product”, Fold 2 “Beta” and Fold 3 finished ver. 1.0. And you bet I be swapping in my fold 2 for that.
