Watching this on my fold 4, had it since launch and it was worth the extra money. I prop it up and use my galaxy watch to help me take pictures, dont have to ask anyone to hold and shoot. People at work are always impressed by the camera's even though they are not flagship specs. I love how much you can customize, put a different picture on each screen (unlocked phone and locked have different pictures) i thought it was going to be hard to get used to typing on the big screen but how they split the keyboard its actuslly pretty natural to hold and use. I dont think i can ever go back to a traditional candybar phone😅 and while i did play some games like diablo immortal i never thought of adding controllers, i might just do that. Oh one more thing, it runs 2 copies of pokemon go flawlessly, you set it up in split screen and download one pogo from google play store and the other from samsung app store 😂

I have this phone I've had it for a year I really enjoy it as I'm visually impaired and I can see then much better in the large display. My only problem with it is the screen protector in the when you open it up is coming loose bubbling in the crease area so not sure if I should take it off or deal with that any suggestions

9 months in and no problems at all. Completely durable. This phone is a revelation when on the train or travelling or for doing anything really. Large screen and ability to multi-task, and no eye strain means this is probably the best phone I've ever had

I was just informed by Geek Squad and the northeast. That all fold four phones are unavailable as so are parts. My guess is a way for them to push the 5. Anyways, I had a Galaxy Z. Fold4 with a quarter inch vertical track on the interscreen that rendered the inner screen. Useless and unresponsive Geek squad Gave me an $1800 store credit card. Which I then bought a new Galaxy S23. Ultra with and I still have 600 dollars on the card to spend on anything I want in the store. When an f, the screen protector starts coming up. Get it repaired immediately because when it comes up. You only have about a month or 2 left before that screen cracks and you have the thickest and slimmest phone on the market. I will not miss the phone falling off. My magnet lock on my dashboard. Last time it happened and almost knocked my car out of gear.

Watching this on my fold 4. The phone has held up surprisingly well I've been using it since December. The one handed usablilty is 10/10 on this device. The swipe down on finger print scanner means i don't need to reach to top... Even then it's shape and size is golden. Being able to open the phone right from 20% open and it acts like a kickstand for the outer screen. Spen inside the device is a must. Rest NO complaints. Fab.

I find it a trash phone. WORTHLESS. Apps are getting stuck. Need for several sites desktop mode. ( the proceed button isnt shown ) battery after 9 months not very satisfied. You cant use it from 09.00 to 23.00 at normal use ( im 47. No gamer or youtuber or so ever ) its big. Heavy. Phone covers are really hard to find to get a good one. If you find 1, you need 2 mcgyver it yourself to stay put on your phone. But the most annoying thing is when you look photos from a website, the swipe doesnt work oft. It looks like it doesnt know when you mean swipe to left 4 next picture or go up and down. And i find it a bit slow. My older phone was faster.

My brother's fold 3 and my flip 4 both cracked on the inside screen along the hinge crease after 8-12months (the fold 3 lasted longer than the flip 4, I gues you open the flip more than the fold). Samsung did fix them both for free though.

I've only had my Fold 4 for a week after getting it on a FB Marketplace swap for a laptop I wasn't using. I intended to sell it, but within a day of using it I knew it was going nowhere. Quite simply the best phone I've owned and I've owned mobile devices since 1994. So versatile and the battery life is far better than I was expecting, easily between 6 and 7 hours SOT with 95% of that the inner screen.

I am a long-time Note guy. I still use the Note 20 Ultra as my daily driver. I think this is going to be the year I finally upgrade to a Fold. Considering it's May right now I am going to wait on the Fold 5. No point in getting the 4 now when the 5 is likely due in the next few months.

Agreed my note 9 is starting to show its age still love it but i do want that big ole screen for mobile gaming and videos being a truck driver and all ill still use this note 9 for maps and some work related things but the screen quality even with that crease i love it i was skeptical of folding screens when they where announced years ago but they have proven themselves reliable

@makoshark40 I worked for At&t when the Fold 4 came out. I got to use it for 2 weeks. Just like your eyes learn to ignore your nose they also ignore the crease. I found that it blends in pretty well when watching videos. Should be even better this year because with the new hinge they are using it will either get rid of the crease or at the very least make it less noticeable.

I've had my Fold 4 since launch with no issues. It has literally replaced my need for a PC/laptop thanks to the multitasking capabilities and Samsung DeX. I get stuff done on the go, then plug in a Type C cable to connect to my 34' ultrawide monitor at home and pick up where I left off.

It's a piece of overpriced junk. Beware, within 18 months of purchase, mine has had its fold out screen film replaced twice (thankfully within the guarantee period). But immediately thereafter, coinciding with it falling outside the guarantee, it's become an unusable slab - the front LCD screen has failed. Because of that there is no accessibility to WiFi (apparently the WiFi is integrated with the front screen). SIM slot no. 2 is unusable. To repair it requires the large foldout screen to be replaced because the SIM slot is integrated with the foldout screen! A marvel of design. And, the starter switch does not work. All this within 18 months of purchase and very careful use. Cost of getting it to start working again: Rs. 70-75,000 (as per the local Samsung service centre). Guarantee on repair? 3 months. Are these guys kidding?? Avoid the GalaxyFold if you value your money. And your peace of mind.

Bro, stop being exactly like every single other cell phone reviewer out there. It's like everyone uses the exact same script. Nothing is different. 1. How is this phone when you're on the toilet? 2. How's the phone reading books vs a Kindle? 3. Can you play more than 2 games and maybe some recent ones? 4. How about game council emulators? 5. How about Steam Link? 6. How well does it stream to a TV? 7. How well does it interact with Windows 11? 8. Dex? 9. How about driving around with it opened using Google maps on a car dock? Does it fit or is it too big to be open on a car mount? If when closed, is the front screen too small for maps? 10. Laying in bed with one hand? How does that feel with a massive screen? 11. How do comic books look and feel on this? 12. Can you put this on a selfie stick? 13. How bright is the flash when used as a flashlight? 14. How far can you walk away and still be connected with a Bluetooth headset? 15. How well does it work with Xbox Cloud and streaming games that way? Come on, be at least a little different than every single other cell phone reviewer.

With Dex, if you hook it up to a monitor it can become like a mac mini ($559), when you open it, it becomes like a ipad mini with 5g ($749), and when closed it's very comparable to an iphone 14 pro 512 gb ($1299). When you add those three apple devices together with all the ram and storage, it comes out to $2600. I'd rather have my all in one device for much cheaper. It only cost me $500 after I traded in my 2 year old Note 20 ultra. I also hooked my fold 4 to a Uperfect lapdock and now I have a pretty good 5g laptop. I love my Fold 4!

I agree 100%, this is a different type of device than a conventional smartphone but most people want their conventional smartphone in addition to the tablet functionality. The fold 4 doesn’t provide that so people see it as a con or pain point when I am trying to explain it is a great combo of small phone/large tablet in a form factor that isn’t all that cumbersome (this thing only weighs a little more than a iPhone 14 Pro Max). The outer display has come a long way since the Fold 1 so I’m quite happy with the outer screen!

They're good phones but not as durable as you say. I never dropped it, dust got in the hinge (p.s I work from home, only going to the gym etc not digging holes), it didn't open fully (extremely annoying) after like 7 months. Samsung covered the repairs (700 ish $). My friend, didn't dropped it either, few days ago the internal screen got rekt when he opened it, full middle line after 6 months.

I liked it until my hinge stopped allowing the phone to fully open. Was also always anxious with it at the playground or beach because of the sand. Had a bad Samsung service experience with my wife's Flip 4 so I just gave up and got an S23 Ultra. Maybe ill give foldable another try on 3-4 years.

I had absolutely no problems but a pixel died off to one side of the screen. Warrenty no problem but they replaced it with a refurbished phone. It was obvious the replacement somone brokw the screen . 3 days i opened it heard a pop and the screen was cracked right down the middle of the screen on the fold. Told t mobile i paid for a new phone it was defective after 4 months and you send me a phone someone broke. I can only use the outside screen till phone number 3 comes in the mail

I love my Fold 4 as well. At first, I was a bit skeptical about it and whether I made the right decision to buy it, especially since both the S23U and iPhone 14 Pro Max were slightly cheaper in installments. Simply put, I live in Serbia, and that’s a lot of money here. But over time, I really started to enjoy all its advantages, and after a whole year and more, I’m amazed by its durability. Fold 3 inner screen was getting those stress cracks. Paid the deductible through insurance and got a Fold 4. It is an amazing device. I shoot a lot of video for kids sports with it so extremely great that way, whether opened or closed. Games play great. Reading comics/books is great on it. Watching video too! Overall, I'm very happy with it, especially after getting a magsafe ring for it. Attaches fine in the vehicle and I had a ring/stand for it wherever I go.

I did drop it once, and I have a small chip on the hing, but it's still going strong. It's a fun phone to consume youtube and anime lol good day.

After 1yr with the zfold 4, I'm hooked !! Very hard to go back to my Ultra. However, the hinge will eventually fail, making it impossible to lay flat. Its not a question of will it happen but, when. Samsung is well aware of their design flaw and will blame you for the damage, charge you $600 to fix.

My fold 4 has flown out a vehicle and smacked into the street while i was driving... no broken front or inner screen and no broken back Glass but obviously some scuffs and dents on the metal hindge and frame but still looks great and works perfectly fine

Mine doesn't always unfold fully flat anymore. I've had it for a few months and maybe it's because I've dropped it a couple times. No screen damage but it unfolds to like 175° or whatever you would consider to be ALMOST fully open

That case is dope. I really enjoy the fold naked in my preferred colors but that case is so worth it. I do wish there was a case that did both however. You need both an S pen for functionality and a stand to improve on usability of the inner screen. Where did you get the case at btw? There’s no links to your equipment used. Side note, I do wish it had better cameras and battery life. I’d take the phones weight and thickness in the older models if it could have better cameras and most importantly battery life. I mean if you want to enjoy tablet option while playing games to kill time or watching a favorite series or something you need that battery to contend with your traditional tablet. Otherwise why bother if you have to still travel with bot a phone and a tablet. Just my opinion.

I've also been having some really great ideas lately about something that would easily be considered bleeding edge Smart Phone/Tablet/Watch and other devices I didn't specifically mention. Phones and tablets are wonderful, no denying that! I've never owned or even used a Smart Watch before though, but I suspect it's barely the beginning of the bleeding edge device technology on the horizon. And if I am even 5% right, it's going to revolutionize technology and .already everything we have now in 2023 appear as primitive in comparison. It's such an insane idea I don't even feel comfortable hinting at what it would be simply out of fear that the idea would be seized and Trade Marked by Billion dollar technology industries around the globe because of what it would be, what it would do, how it would do it, and how much it would cost to produce a functional prototype that could make its way to the market immediately following it's success!! This very device here (Samsung Galaxy Z Fold) signifies to me that my idea is probably already being considered, even if not being developed yet.

I bought my Fold 4 at launch , but now it doesn't open all the way to 180 angle. I tried taking it to one of one of the Samsung certified repair shop since it's still under warranty they said Samsung would not cover the repair because of light scratches on the side of the phone. And that I could try sending it to Samsung directly. I bought into the hype but, I'm never buying a foldable phone again. I wish I had just bought the S23 ultra. Its also just a very heavy phone to be used out and about. Foldable are a gimmick as far as being phones but they do make great tablets for at home use or when sitting around. But such a waste of money for a 1700 tablet for at home use. I had gotten a Samsung watch for free that I love using now. The Samsung buds I don't really like either.

I can't do that on my current Redmagic Pro 9 and it's a very important feature to have. I can't even set a timer or ask simple questions without unlocking the screen. I'm in Canada - land of state-regulated what you can have or don't have, see, don't see, etc. We have one option for a folding phone - Galaxy Z Fold 4. Current Apple victim will definitely be getting this gem when I'm able (eligible) in August. Thanks for the great video!

I had a screen replacement since the internal screen protector fails at 6 months, so I'm not sure why Samsung replaced the entire screen that is attached to the phone body but the phone looks like new. I hope to not face the same problem in the next 6 months. I'm very carefully with my devices and I always use a case, tempered glass...

It's not just the protector. After the bubbling comes a black mark in the middle and the screen is unusable. I'm having mine repaired now as I am using my 1plus backup phone that I bought while my previous phone S22 ultra was being repaired.

Can anyone answer me this question as I want to get the z fold 5. Never had a z fold before. When it comes to video recording is it possible still to screen record video in the traditional aspect ratio to record video games or does it purely record the whole square screen?

I love my fold 4. I’ve had it since the launch. I’ve dropped it a few times times on hard surfaces and it has held up well. The only issue I’m having is the under display camera is no longer invisible. It’s visible for the whole world to see. I may get it fixed or leave it like it is.

It's a setting in the phone, you just need to toggle it so that the UDC works like intended

I have the Fold 4 and Find N2. The typing experience on the outer screen is much better on the Find N2. When you hold both phones the Fold 4 feels like a brick compared to the Find N2. I like the software better on the Fold 4 but I prefer the hardware of the Find N2.

As I am watching this on my z fold 4 I have to say its a great phone/tablet I use it daily I send emails edit pictures and videos play games watch movies on it and when I hook it up to a tv or an external monitor the dex features basically turn it into a mini laptop. I have dropped it a couple of times no issues just some minor scratches nothing major even dropped it in watter no problems. I take pictures and videos on it all the time the cameras could be better but I find myself using the 50 mega pixel mode if i need to do something at night the regular mode works fine. But they could definitely be better ive noticed that sometimes it does turn some of my pictures green when its too dark but that has only happened a couple of times. Besides the cameras its an awsome phone I don't think ill be getting the z fold5 unless if the upgrade the cameras to the ones on the s22 ultra atleast.

As of the time of watching, I haven't checked if this device is even compatible with my Boost Mobile Service Network. But I really REALLY hope it is!! I'm just trying to find out if it's worth shelling out so much money for one device that will probably be obsolete in a minimum of 18-24 more months.

They are such good phones, so many things to like. I nearly upgraded to the 5, but then i saw the oneplus open as i do use the camera often, then i realised i would lose Dex, ipx7 and Spen so now im like hmmmm plus the first gen stuff always has bugs. Now i dont use them dex or spen as much as i used too, but i want to do more so i didn't change and now with a brand new zfold4 replaced under warranty as inner screen got damaged twice, im still satisfied with the zfold4. Probably the best stab into foldable phones atm if you havent tried one.

Awesome Video...as always. Personally tried Z Fold4 but couldn't get past small front screen and majority of videos on inner screen black bar resulting in screen size equal to S22/23 Ultra.

I love my fold 4. I highly recommend it. After 9 months of having mine, it has held up very well and I've dropped it hard several times. Camera and battery could be better, but I'm pleased with it. Typing this from my Z Fold 4 1tb version.

I'm also around the 9 month mark. As for durability its not too great from my experience. I let it slip once when getting out of car and there is a small crack on the screen. It may have been a one to two foot slip drop and it dropped in a cement driveway and chipped it. At the time i didnt have my case on so it cracked it and due to having said case i can still use it fine but i do have samsung care so I'll be getting it fixed soon. I also get these air bubbles in the inner screen protector its not a huge hassle Overall i love this phone. When i watch tv be it for movies or sporting events i usually end up watching it on my phone and needless to say the experience was enhanced with this phone. Due to the file explorer feature i am able to basically use this to do a lot of personal tasks. And i use the phone for office meetings and such. I absolutely love the phone and i bought it with a monthly plan with 0% interest so when it is paid off as long as it holds im gonna buy another fold in the future

Hey, I might be late to comment on this, but can you please compare the Moto Edge 40 to the Galaxy A54? The former seems quite a bit more value for a lower price here in India.
