I was just informed by Geek Squad and the northeast. That all fold four phones are unavailable as so are parts. My guess is a way for them to push the 5. Anyways, I had a Galaxy Z. Fold4 with a quarter inch vertical track on the interscreen that rendered the inner screen. Useless and unresponsive Geek squad Gave me an $1800 store credit card. Which I then bought a new Galaxy S23. Ultra with and I still have 600 dollars on the card to spend on anything I want in the store. When an f, the screen protector starts coming up. Get it repaired immediately because when it comes up. You only have about a month or 2 left before that screen cracks and you have the thickest and slimmest phone on the market. I will not miss the phone falling off. My magnet lock on my dashboard. Last time it happened and almost knocked my car out of gear.

Watching this on my fold 4. The phone has held up surprisingly well I've been using it since December. The one handed usablilty is 10/10 on this device. The swipe down on finger print scanner means i don't need to reach to top... Even then it's shape and size is golden. Being able to open the phone right from 20% open and it acts like a kickstand for the outer screen. Spen inside the device is a must. Rest NO complaints. Fab.

I've only had my Fold 4 for a week after getting it on a FB Marketplace swap for a laptop I wasn't using. I intended to sell it, but within a day of using it I knew it was going nowhere. Quite simply the best phone I've owned and I've owned mobile devices since 1994. So versatile and the battery life is far better than I was expecting, easily between 6 and 7 hours SOT with 95% of that the inner screen.

I've had my Fold 4 since launch with no issues. It has literally replaced my need for a PC/laptop thanks to the multitasking capabilities and Samsung DeX. I get stuff done on the go, then plug in a Type C cable to connect to my 34' ultrawide monitor at home and pick up where I left off.

I am a long-time Note guy. I still use the Note 20 Ultra as my daily driver. I think this is going to be the year I finally upgrade to a Fold. Considering it's May right now I am going to wait on the Fold 5. No point in getting the 4 now when the 5 is likely due in the next few months.

Agreed my note 9 is starting to show its age still love it but i do want that big ole screen for mobile gaming and videos being a truck driver and all ill still use this note 9 for maps and some work related things but the screen quality even with that crease i love it i was skeptical of folding screens when they where announced years ago but they have proven themselves reliable

@makoshark40 I worked for At&t when the Fold 4 came out. I got to use it for 2 weeks. Just like your eyes learn to ignore your nose they also ignore the crease. I found that it blends in pretty well when watching videos. Should be even better this year because with the new hinge they are using it will either get rid of the crease or at the very least make it less noticeable.

Fold 3 inner screen was getting those stress cracks. Paid the deductible through insurance and got a Fold 4. It is an amazing device. I shoot a lot of video for kids sports with it so extremely great that way, whether opened or closed. Games play great. Reading comics/books is great on it. Watching video too! Overall, I'm very happy with it, especially after getting a magsafe ring for it. Attaches fine in the vehicle and I had a ring/stand for it wherever I go.

With Dex, if you hook it up to a monitor it can become like a mac mini ($559), when you open it, it becomes like a ipad mini with 5g ($749), and when closed it's very comparable to an iphone 14 pro 512 gb ($1299). When you add those three apple devices together with all the ram and storage, it comes out to $2600. I'd rather have my all in one device for much cheaper. It only cost me $500 after I traded in my 2 year old Note 20 ultra. I also hooked my fold 4 to a Uperfect lapdock and now I have a pretty good 5g laptop. I love my Fold 4!

My brother's fold 3 and my flip 4 both cracked on the inside screen along the hinge crease after 8-12months (the fold 3 lasted longer than the flip 4, I gues you open the flip more than the fold). Samsung did fix them both for free though.

I love my fold 4. I’ve had it since the launch. I’ve dropped it a few times times on hard surfaces and it has held up well. The only issue I’m having is the under display camera is no longer invisible. It’s visible for the whole world to see. I may get it fixed or leave it like it is.

I love my fold 4. I highly recommend it. After 9 months of having mine, it has held up very well and I've dropped it hard several times. Camera and battery could be better, but I'm pleased with it. Typing this from my Z Fold 4 1tb version.

Ive had my Z Fold 4 for about 9 months as well and I have no complaints other than the center of my inside screen in the crease is starting to crack. I am actually taking it in under warranty work to have the screen replaced tomorrow. Samsung did not give me any crap about it and got the warranty work processed instantly. The repair shop says they have had to repair many screens due to the creasing but it does not seem to cause any functionality issues its just an eyesore to look at.

@@BiqUzi hahahaha yeah the hinge collapsed and Samsung refused to fix it so I take back everything I said about it🤣. I binned that and got a one plus open and what a difference. Don't go for Samsung imho one plus have an amazing device out now and this hinge feels FAR more durable than the fold line. Plus the charging speeds on one plus compared to Samsung are night and day

I liked it until my hinge stopped allowing the phone to fully open. Was also always anxious with it at the playground or beach because of the sand. Had a bad Samsung service experience with my wife's Flip 4 so I just gave up and got an S23 Ultra. Maybe ill give foldable another try on 3-4 years.

I agree 100%, this is a different type of device than a conventional smartphone but most people want their conventional smartphone in addition to the tablet functionality. The fold 4 doesn’t provide that so people see it as a con or pain point when I am trying to explain it is a great combo of small phone/large tablet in a form factor that isn’t all that cumbersome (this thing only weighs a little more than a iPhone 14 Pro Max). The outer display has come a long way since the Fold 1 so I’m quite happy with the outer screen!

Never dropped my 4 but being out of warranty one small dent on the hinge will cause the hinge not to open fully and the screen protector to peel. These things are great but fragile over time. I had to look really hard for the dent.

What surprises me most was its one hand, cover screen usability! No fear of dropping the phone. It is the perfect size to use one handed. And if I want a larger screen or more area, it folds out into the size of an iPad Mini. Love it ❤️

Mine doesn't always unfold fully flat anymore. I've had it for a few months and maybe it's because I've dropped it a couple times. No screen damage but it unfolds to like 175° or whatever you would consider to be ALMOST fully open

I had a screen replacement since the internal screen protector fails at 6 months, so I'm not sure why Samsung replaced the entire screen that is attached to the phone body but the phone looks like new. I hope to not face the same problem in the next 6 months. I'm very carefully with my devices and I always use a case, tempered glass...

It's not just the protector. After the bubbling comes a black mark in the middle and the screen is unusable. I'm having mine repaired now as I am using my 1plus backup phone that I bought while my previous phone S22 ultra was being repaired.

I can't do that on my current Redmagic Pro 9 and it's a very important feature to have. I can't even set a timer or ask simple questions without unlocking the screen. Loved my fold 4. Had it since release. I recently picked up the Vivo Fold 2 and this thing is light-years ahead of Samsung in the hardware department. Its way thinner and folds flat. Huge 5000mah battery that charges at 120watts and better cameras. Its already better than the unreleased ZFold5, which is why i switched

I did drop it once, and I have a small chip on the hing, but it's still going strong. It's a fun phone to consume youtube and anime lol good day.

After 1yr with the zfold 4, I'm hooked !! Very hard to go back to my Ultra. However, the hinge will eventually fail, making it impossible to lay flat. Its not a question of will it happen but, when. Samsung is well aware of their design flaw and will blame you for the damage, charge you $600 to fix.

Me too Im very happy with this device, I don't see any need for upgrade for whatever comes on the market in near future 2-3y. Only on 2things they should work on for the next model battery and cameras

Thank you brother, I was on the fence about getting the zfold 4, but you really sway my decision. The only thing I really worry about is, I work in a cardboard factory, there is a ton of dust build up, it doesn't really bother my note 10+, but that doesn't have a huge hinge in the center, any reason you think that would or should be a deterrent on getting the fold 4? Would a good case help mitigate any of those worries? Thank you for all the info you put out and it really helps me with my tech decisions, thank you.

I have this phone I've had it for a year I really enjoy it as I'm visually impaired and I can see then much better in the large display. My only problem with it is the screen protector in the when you open it up is coming loose bubbling in the crease area so not sure if I should take it off or deal with that any suggestions

I'm attracted to z-fold and your video is helpful to help me decide to whether i should go for it. I'm currently using S20+ for over 3 yrs now. Quite happy with the overall durability of s20+, but bcoz i do a lot of reading, note taking and watching YT, I'm thinking of getting Z-fold. The biggest issue is the price $$$$ !!!

I just got mine Fold 4 for $400 in perfect condition, only missing foil on big display, which i got applied in Samsung store for around $50. I love that phone.

I tested this phone for just a while in the shop yesterday and I'm absolutely hooked! Just looking for some reviews to see if there are any drawbacks I didn't notice, but so far everyone seems to be very optimistic :D

My fold 4 has flown out a vehicle and smacked into the street while i was driving... no broken front or inner screen and no broken back Glass but obviously some scuffs and dents on the metal hindge and frame but still looks great and works perfectly fine

The best 2 in 1 ever use 😊 love to use as daily when it fold and unfold to watch youtube or gaming. Other brands are too big to use in one hand

That case is dope. I really enjoy the fold naked in my preferred colors but that case is so worth it. I do wish there was a case that did both however. You need both an S pen for functionality and a stand to improve on usability of the inner screen. Where did you get the case at btw? There’s no links to your equipment used. Side note, I do wish it had better cameras and battery life. I’d take the phones weight and thickness in the older models if it could have better cameras and most importantly battery life. I mean if you want to enjoy tablet option while playing games to kill time or watching a favorite series or something you need that battery to contend with your traditional tablet. Otherwise why bother if you have to still travel with bot a phone and a tablet. Just my opinion.
