One of the biggest problems I've had with the Fold 1 - 3 was the inner displays had noticeable jelly scrolling that would give me a headache.

Finally, an actually useful video for Fold 4. Seriously, most videos I've watched don't really answer my questions like yours did. I appreciate that front screen typing experience on Fold 4. Fold 4 is going to be my first ever foldable. I didn't like the previous folds with one of the reasons being the almost unusable front screen typing. I believe I'm going to be the type of person that only opens the inner screen when I'm enjoying contents.

Not sure why you've got reviews in quotations. None of the current Fold 4 content on KZbin is a review. They aren't "basically" fancy teasers and generic information, they simply are those things. As the phone itself isn't yet released, I'd imagine there's likely an embargo on full reviews.

Yeah, reviews usually are released 2 weeks after launch, and let's face it, since it's not an iPhone -nor the mainstream Galaxy S flagship- but a foldable android instead, I'm not minutely expecting a full review by MKBHD, lol. I think MrWhosTheBoss might have some interesting twist up his sleeves this year, because unlike everyone else, upon the launch of both the Fold 4 and Flip 4, he only did a video on the Flip and quite a cinematic one if I may, so I'm guessing he'd run us through a few goodies in 2 weeks time when he'd likely drop a Fold 4 review. I most certainly won't be buying this phone- as I feel NOW is the very best time to buy a Fold 3 for only $800 bucks on Amazon- but I'd still be on a watchout for when Mr. Mobile {Michael Fisher} drops his full review though, as he is the undisputed *King Of All Things Foldable* Yes, for now, they all are first impressions and no one was expecting an indepth review right out the gate anyway. This truly was a really well made first impressions video by Shane, so yeah I do agree with that part of the original comment. I however won't go as far as bashing other creators for some wrong doings they didn't really do though.

1. Yes samsung needs to hurry up on this 2. With this form factor, don't expect leaps and bounds in crease department 3. I feel samsung should have had these cameras in the folds all along, so yes let's keep seeing camera upgrades 4. Software upgrades are already coming to this Fold 4, what are you looking for exactly? 5. The display is already wider on this 4, any wider and it's going to limit the one handed nature of the outer screen which is one of my favorite aspects of the Fold, but I know that's an unpopular opinion.

I honestly don't get why Samsung can't offer the Ultra camera on the Z Fold 4. I get not putting it on the Z Flip, but it's honestly crappy that you don't get the best camera on the most expensive phone!

I've pre ordered this phone. But I noticed that the incentive to pick your case AND the colour is only exclusive to USA. Here in the UK, we get additional trade in discount, 1 year free samsung care and the starter kit (s pen, case and fast charger). Frankly, I'm a bit bummed that you can't pick the colour of the case, it's just plain black which is too plain for me personally since I pre ordered the phone in beige. I don't know why it's different in countries.

Good review! I liked the commentary on the outer display. It would be better if you didn't use dark wallpapers on the Fold3 and Fold4. They make it hard to judge the impact of the slimmer bezels. Chapters on the video are a pro touch.👌Shows that this is an organized review and adds convenience. Also good to see a review from the perspective of an actual long term user. I'm tired of seeing reviews from creators (review factories) who use it for a week and say it's a horrible device because it doesn't fit the usage profile of a content creator. I want a big screen, so that I can see more stuff and be more productive doing actual work. Yes, it's heavy. If you look at it like a folding phone, you'll be disappointed. If you look at it like a folding tablet, you'll be happy. Thanks for not spending time on the crease. People with adaptable minds stop caring about it after a day. It folds in half... that's why it has a crease.

@@Yielar1 not really the camera. Actually doesn't really show improvement. I recommend you watch flossy Carter or when you get the phone compare to a fold 3. And durability isn't an issue. Tbh. Glad it can be improved but. Not a reason to drop extra cash. I'd buy the 3 at discount if someone with an older version wants a fold. And wait for the fold 5.

@@ManuelTorres-xb1ky yeah the camera is out of the S22 and has 3x zoom now with 30 times space zoom along with the wide angle lens. Much better front facing camera and the underscreen camera is better quality and harder to see. Invictus+ glass on the outside screen and rear. I like that the phone is shorter and wider which is easier to use and they've made it a little lighter. People have had issues with the screen durability on the Fold 3 which is why they put so much effort into increasing durability on the Fold 4. I wouldn't recommend the Fold 3

All those minor improvements arnt worth upgrading in the real world. Specs are to get people to buy. In reality they didn't do all to much on this next gen. If you invest in the fold 4 sorry for you. I'm waiting for the 5. Once the 4 comes in I'm sending it right back. I actually got my hands on one. Because like you. I was looking at specs. They are so similar you won't feel the size difference at all 😂it's quite funny. That shouldn't be a reason to buy the fold 4.

Nothing really here for fold 2 and 3 owner then, and in fact seems to be worse in places like that gap and the thickness of the device. I won't be upgrading until they fix the crease with a teardrop fold that Samsung competitors got right in their first gen devices.

I traded my note 20 ultra and ended up bundling the zfold 4, pro watch 5, and ear buds 2 for around 1200. The trade on the note 20 ultra was 900 for me. I got the note on trade incentives as well. Can't wait for this. It will be my first next gen foldable. I also appreciate the straight to the point review. Makes me even more happier about my purchase

Yes but you're cutting off a lot of your content. And if you're watching 1080p or lower resolution it's grainy which isn't nice on the eyes which feels not nice on a $1800 device

@@shebzprince5042 has worked really well for me, only had to change the screencover for the inner display once. I never use my phones in the rain or in any kind of dirt and grit so it looks pretty much as new still. 👍 The Samsung carbon case has been mounted 95% of the time.

@Hamins Mikati The battery isn't bad actually. Depends really on usage & apps. I can get a full day with out charging, until bed. For me, thats You Tube, FB, a few regular games (nothing too intense), phone calls & tons of browsing. I start out at about 90% & end on about 15 to 20 %. I do alot of pictures, videos & editing as well. Hope that helps!

The world? Not really. Apple obsession is mainly the US and a few other countries. Samsung isn't just a Samsung. Samsung has a lot of reputation in contrary to what you think. Apple has no engineering capabilities to make fold for another few years. And even when they start, they are going to buy a lot of the parts from Samsung just like the Chinese manufacturers do.

Hi Shane, much appreciated for an in-depth first impression of the new fold. For someone who hasn't used nor owned a foldable device, would you recommend the fold 3 or fold 4? Fold 3 has seemingly dropped in price over the past year and has a much lower entry sticker price but fold 4 seems a lot more refined than fold 3 but also costs a lot more. Hope to hear some of your insights from a long-term fold user, many thanks!

Eh...cool device. Flashy. But I guess it's a toy to play around with for super gadget enthusiasts. This thing is fat and bulky. Having a screen on the back when unfolded is awkward. Definitely can't replace my standard s22 ultra (or whichever phone comes next).......and...... that crease....

I hope Samsung improved the inner screen protector on the Fold 4. The screen protector on my Fold 3 has separated and the local uBreakiFix says they don't know when they will get replacements. From what I see online, this appears to be a common problem.

How come when I got my zfold 4 at ATT, the front and back camera were blurry af. And my apps were freezing up. Also, it doesn't have a screen protector on the front screen, but does have one on the inside. Bad choices all around for samsung.

I have 2 questions.. Can you remove the Taskbar from the bottom of the inner screen..? And can you ZOOM in on videos from KZbin so you don't see the black bars on top and bottom of the video..?

pls - nobody showed this - In outlook calendar - if you add lets say 2 shared calendars and your own - how does the layout looks like unfolded? On PC it make colums in day view - 1 colum for each calendar on mobile its practically unusable weird mesh of all of them in 1 colum How is it on Fold?

Samsung haven't convinced me yet for the purpose of this phone I mean yes it's kinda cool but in my country (Greece) it costs 1800€ ( 256GB variant) while I can purchase with that amount of money an (13 pro max 256GB) and a I pad pro with a pen to do work
