Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 vs Galaxy S24 Ultra: Which Would You Choose?

I’ve been a note user since the note 5 this year I decided to trade in my s23 ultra for the z fold 6 and I’m just loving the smaller front screen using it with one hand and when I want a bigger canvas I just open it up. I don’t see myself going back to a slab phone 😁

I like the convenience small screen on the front for message reply and checking. I like the big inner screen for all my one note taking. It is my journal notebook. But I have some issue about the durability with the folding design, Get the Samsung care if you can, otherwise it cost too much to fix it.

@@MrWh4327782 same. i had the samsung galaxt fold z3. went for the samsung s24 ultra because the sound on my fold would stop when opened. extremely frustrating. shouldn't be happening to a 2000 euro phone.

After using the Fold 4 for 3 years, I honestly say that durability is a major issue since the inner screen failed twice. 1st time covered with Samsung Care. 2nd time it happened is slightly over 1 year. This time I just let it be because replacing the inner screen is so expensive. No doubt I enjoy the bigger screen but the durability issue just killed it for me. Now waiting for S25 Ultra!

I am always a note series user since Note 3, I used Note 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9 and 10plus. After Samsung releasing Fold 3 which start support the spen, then I used fold 3, 4, and 5. After my fold 5 start shown a linen the outside screen and few times fall to wake up the inner screen. I really really had enough for the fold design, My fold 3 screen breaks two time, they have to replace all my front and inner screen. Fold 4 is ok as I use it like a mini tablet as a back up phone, Not using it heavily. It is great to have a big screen, it is easy to write on and good for video and browsing, however, the moving parts inside the fold series is never to be reliable and durable like a brick phone. I need my phone to be durable and stable. I mean ,yes, you can buy Samsung care and it is easy to replace a new phone, but what if my phone breaks on my road trip, what if my phone breaks when I need to get something done. I think the fold phone will become better and better but not for now, They need to fix the durability issues otherwise it will only fits in a small group of people. It's going to like the folding screen laptops, good but not good enough.

Why do you need your phone to be durable if you "upgrade" each year? My Note 3 was with me for +5 years and my S10+ Performance Edition is with me sin e 2019.

I go back and forth between and ultra and fold and been doing that since the fold 3. Super pumped about the ultra or slim fold whatever they are going to call it

I have to disagree about cameras. I almost never use 200mpix as I barely see any difference. But the file size difference is massive. I also almost never use the 100x zoom. The quality again, pretty bad. I guess 20-30x is fine if you're OK with a massive quality downgrade, 100x is a gimmick and unusable. Also, 100x zoom is available only on 12mpix. 50mpix and 200mpix have 10x zoom max.

I had the fold 4 and I had to upgrade to the s24 ultra, I don't recommend the folding ones even if you take care of them (zero knocks and dust) they don't last more than 1 and a half years, the internal protective plastic lifts up and the hinge stops opening properly 😒

beat on my ZF5 everyday, held up great like new...the factory protector didn't lift and a second film did not hurt it at all. the second aftermarket film do lift a bit after a year, but not the original film.

I had an issue with my z fold 4 not opening all the way and turned it in for an s23u. I missed the one handed comfortable feel in the hand and giving the fold 6 a try. Definitely feels good to be back

As a content creator the cameras and the battery life killed the z fold for me. If a want a larger display I will just use dex. That is what it is for.

I bought Samsung s24 ultra and got free Samsung tablet A9+. Its like i got fold. If i want large screen i use tablet.

@sanasou7538 it really depends on what u need, though. I bought fold 6 because im really curious bout it. It's really good for single hand use. Whenever i want a bigger view, just unfold it. As for the S24ultra, i just want that S Pen feature even though I have S pen for Fold, but using S pen on 24ultra is better, in my opinion. Maybe for some people, im wasting money, but im really satisfied with both phones (it's my money, though). The main point is it depends on which segment you would prefer.

@sampathkapuge81 That's hard. I love both. But if only i have to choose, I'll pick s24 ultra for all rounder. Z fold 6 is just not for everyone. But i use fold 6 as my main device mainly for whatsapp and calls. Taking pictures and youtube i use 24ultra.
