Checking out the Samsung Gear 360. In this video, I unbox and setup the camera. I am excited about VR and have spent some time with VR cameras in the past. The Gear 360 can shoot in UHD 4K, so I am excited to play with this camera and report my findings.

How are you doing? I don’t think Samsung Gear 360 Mananger App isn’t available in America. I’d watch your video and I can’t find that app you showed me in the video. Without that app my gear 360 is useless. I’d just bought the thing a few days ago. Is there another app that will work for gear 360 you know for?

You should be able to use the Gear VR to view the stills and videos as well. For that matter you can also use Google's Cardboard. BTW are you going to try out other 360 cameras as well? (LG 360 Cam, Ricoh Theta S, ...).

I had the Ricoh Theta but didn't like the low resolution. I want to try the S, but don't feel there was enough changed to warrant paying for it. The Samsung has seemed most promising which is why I bought one. More will come for sure with VR, it's huge. Thanks for the comment.

my samsung 360 doesnt seem to have the best quality video/photography....certainly doesnt look HD much less UHD....is there a setting to change the quality?

Yes, you do this in the phone when connected to the 360 Cam. I have a review of the camera coming soon with tips on how to use it.

+qthenz Yes. That is the first phone I used it with and would have used it with in the review had I not returned my Note 7. Works great.
