Text forwarding apps only work on android phones and tablets, not smart watches and you have to install the same app on both devices. So there is no way at all to get text nofications on a smart watch using a non Samsung phone. Sorry. Also Samsung wear app doesn't work on non Samsung phones. It won't pair. I've tried everything. It can't find the smart watch. I gave up.

Is it possible to side load the gear manager app onto your Motorola so the text notifications and app downloads work? Also what about music? Does the gear s act as a remote for your phone when listening to music, meaning can you pause, play and day forward tracks?

the only notification you can get is phone calls . you will need a Samsung phone for everything else

Hi...I have a M8 on lollipop Gear Fit Samsung ..it's working but not properly..any app I got from play store...like camera remote..volume control...find my gear...nothing is working at all...gear's firmware is also up-to-date ....help please

Remember that watch was made for samsung phones not all the apps will work with the M8.
