I use to heavily criticize smart watches as overpriced Bluetooth accessories, but after owning the Huawei Watch(bought on sale at around $250) I'm a firm believer in smart watches, but I'm still not a believer in the over $300 price tag. The S3 looks great and I would love to own one, but not for $350+. Not when you can get a flagship like the Nexus 6P for $449, that's cutting it too close to smartphone pricing.

I Finn Axon 7 and OnePlus 3 cost about the same lol, and they're 2 of the best phones on the market regardless of price imo. I want one of these a lot but I agree on price.. Over 200 is just tough to justify.

My wife has tiny wrists and loves the S3. Big watches are in fashion for women too. And where did you come up with 1.5 days. Mine goes at least 3 days. It's impossible to kill it 1.5 days...However the LTE version may drop it to 2 days

One question about it though, What about replacing the battery after using it, say for 3 years?? This is one of avoided questions (I have never seen people even mentioning it on the internet) as most of people tend to change/replace their old tech every 2-3 years. But this here, is basically a "watch"!!! It should be at least kept 4-5 years. Also one hell of a watch!!!

I feel almost the same, I have had my gear s2 classic for eight months now and I wear it every day, but I have just bought the gear s3 for the battery life,larger screen and memory. My s2 will always be a great back up.

That's fair enough Kurt Marten . For me, the larger screen is actually a set back, the S2 is about perfect for my taste, battery life is great and memory... I really don't use that much, have my apps and watch faces and that's it. Don't really use it as a stand alone music player nor store photos. Cheers!

I picked this up on launch day and its been an amazing few weeks. The Samsung Pay alone, paired with my Google Pixel, is enough for me to warrant the price. I missed the MFT of Samsung Pay from my Note 7.

the bezel on my gear s3 Frontier will occasionally get 'stuck' at the same point each time it happens, it begins to take more effort to rotate until you're at the point that when you get it to rotate, it will click past the page you wanted to be on. I may have to exchange it for another if it doesn't fix itself, as I've only had it for a week and maybe I just need to rotate it more to get it all to work properly. otherwise it is amazing and I highly recommend it

One thing I feel should be mentioned about samsung pay (and android pay for that matter) on smartwatches is that you have to have a screen lock enabled to use it, requiring you to input a pin every time you want to use the device.

Dave Patry That's not true i have the S2 classic and S3 frontier LTE version and you dont have to put your pin code in everytime you use Samsung Pay. The pin code is required only to enable security for using Samsung Pay .or if you took your watch off or powring it up .

MiracleWarriors honestly I use both for basic tracking, but stick to the fit2 for in depth tracking. I think the s3 will get better with time, but no where near as capable as the fit2 for total tracking.

​When I put my gear S3 on power saving mode it simply act as if its off the wrist. It wont count your steps, your heart rate and evn it wont detect your sleep. I was using gear fit2 which was doing so very well while on power saving mode. Not happy with this feature. While sleeping I just dnt wish to keep it on normal mode. And after turning power saving mode on there is no point keeping it on your wrist while sleeping.

patriot1028 the watch works as well as any fitbit I've had for workout detection and tracking and Samsung's S Health is, in my opinion, just as good as Fitbit's system. It is a different platform though, so any friends you have on fitbit don't transfer over.

AYY LMAO hmm ... When u like the Classic and elegant Look than Go for the Classic Version, but when u want more the heavy/durable Watch than Go for the Frontier Version. The Frontier Version have also LTE when u buy the LTE Version, the Classic dont have LTE

They're the exact same, both have the same dimensions, specs, screen size, battery life, etc. Only difference is styling, and if you want a cell plan with one, you have to get the Frontier version.

Samsung are quite clearly going to be dropping Android on their phones shortly IMO, their reluctance to use Wear on watches is just the beginning. Lovely looking device & OS, seems a touch laggy from the video. Would obvs like to see more people wearing smartwatches, but this is more expensive than some mid-high end phones (or 2015's flagships).

For android watched, they support all android phones Kitkat and above (and also iOS), but this one supports most android devices mostly 5.0 and above. Im currently using a Sony phone paired with this watch.
