I did it! Broke three clips, but that's fine tho. I just wanted to clean the fan, but was a little bit disappointed not to find much dust in there, so it actually was not worth the risk. Still interesting to see the insides of your laptop. 80% plastic, 20% electronics lol.

my samsung always lags usually at start up, mouse freezes,etc, and when i uninstall the nvidia driver, it doesnt lag anymore..does this mean that my video card is defective now? does fan cleaning helps? i hope you can reply.. i always use my laptop for playing lots of games... it will take time for me to buy new one...

Is there a shorter way to disable the keyboard cable? I got the rv720 and it randomly writes "x" and "s" espacially in games annoying... I use a extern keyboard and can't delete the drivers of the standard keyboard nor deactivate it.. Pls help :(

Just a long shot but I have the 720 i3 which is 'supposed' to have the NVIDIA GeForce GT 520M in it, only problem is the NVIDIA web site can't detect it when looking for drivers? Any way of checking without stripping and physically seeing it? ty.

This post was 6 years ago. But just incase u treasured this lappy in the storeroom. I hv the same model with u and the battery is located on the top of motherboard. But since u overturn the laptop and open from the back, in this case the battery is at the bottom of the motherboard

On a different note: I just did that because I got the time, I am waiting for the PC shop to open so I can upgrade my RV720 with an SSD HDD. Luckily, there now is a "clone drive" option in windows 10. I might post later how it went. Hopefully the fan will be quieter then.

@@leonelpaz7775 just bought some for mine in past month... and it is 1330 mhz max which is shown as this on 'Speccy' :- 8.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 665MHz (9-9-9-24) the reason shows 665mhz is because it is DDR (double data ram) so you need to multiply both channels by 2 to see it is 1330 mhz ............ so when you buy you ask for 2 x 4gb DDR3 1330 Mhz which should cost around 25 euros max .... 8gb is maximum for 64 bit and 4Gb is max for 32 bit on this RV520 model .................... regards Brian

BraviusLP my idea hdd defect (bad sector) test them with disk HDtune.. do they need hiren boot CD just googled . Testen sie HDD mit HDtune programme. Sie brauchen Hiren Boot-CD und im Dos starten.. für Hiren Boot-CD einfach googeln.

@@MrAspagne Hello. I looked at the laptop specs and the removable processor is listed everywhere. You can download the CPU-Z program from the Internet and look at the socket type in it on page 1 - if 988rPGA, then you can install i5-2520m, i5-2540m (support for VT-x, VT-d virtualization).
