You have a short circuit in some of the clock signals between t con board and lcd panel buffer boards.disconnect ribbon cables one by one from t con board to determine which side of lcd panel has the short circuit. Once established use tape to cover pins on ribbon cable and through trial and error you can work out which pins need to be covered to block shorted clock signals going to lcd panel which will then clear up all horizontal and vertical lines on the screen

Sad that no one has fixed this so here goes. The solution is a technical one so a level of electronic competence is required. A picture is produced by scanning from top to bottom each line of the screen and activating a pixel (dot) corresponding to a picture this happens at a very fast rate so it is perceived by human eye as a proper picture…what that requires are voltages vertical and horizontal then pixel for a combination to create color. What is happening is the signal voltages are not resetting the pixels so you are ending up with a trail throughout the activated column. You will have to bypass one side of voltages by using a piece of tape across the offending side of a dual flex cable from Tconn to screen. It’s a trial hit and miss process until you get the correct offending lines. NB I wouldn’t be able to monitor questions etc so Good Luck…

*If anyone still wonders...* I had IDENTICAL issue - it was broken LCD ribbon (built-in one) :( ONLY LCD REPLACEMENT was possible (I'm repair technician now, trust me).

I have UA50e6000. tried cleaning the two tcon boards. No improvement. Cleaning the buffer boards seemed to do a little but I am not sure. Might be some dirt on them that is hard to see. I also noticed the problem got better by running the tv. I sometimes get a transparent blue and white rectangle, i noticed that motion over that area improved to just ghosting and it was almost going away at one point. Going to run the tv overnight and see what that does.

OK the fix I put in finished it and the TV is perfect now. Except that the back and the bezel front is missing. I just could not put that back on until I was sure the bond fix I did worked. The problem ALWAYS seems to be the ribbon cables that bond to the LCD panel. I took another approach. Instead of trying to put pressure on the LCD bonding ribbon, I decided to leave it alone because when the TV was just sitting on its back, the picture was fine. What I noticed is that the LCD panel itself seem to move around inside the metal frame. Just a hair but enough I guess to mess with that faulty connection. So instead, I installed cut up pieces of through-hole IC anti-static foam and placed them between the LCD panel itself and the metal frame. This seemed to hold it into place much better, and after I reinstalled the metal frame around the LCD panel, it still looks great! Who is to say how long it will last, but hopefully it will long enough for us to buy an LG TV. Without the bezel, it has somewhat of a "MATRIX" look to it. Family is happy so it's good enough for me! :) When we get the new TV, I'll install this on a wall in my office without the case. As a reminder never to buy a Samsung TV again!!

The only solution for this is call samsung and let them repair the tv, just got my tv repaired today and my tv is 10 times worst now. I will never buy a samsung tv again they are crap. They can't even repair their own stuf!

It's called ito break. The circuit prints inside the crystal is broken. The one and only remedy to fix this problem using laser machine to add jumber internally if free prints available.

Have the same problem with my UN46B7000, many people say it's the T-Con board but when I look that up on forums people say it doesn't help after they replace it. Even trying to put pressure on the connectors doesn't help for me.

Hey if i need to twist my tv in order to get a good image, i know the problem is the ribbon connector BUT after taking the back panel off, i dont have access to the connectors. I can't seem to find a way to remove the plastic front cover off =/

clean the ribbon tips on the flex that connects tcon and main board with alcohol or with pencil eraser maybe bad contact or change tcon order on ebay

Definately not the panel my friend... It is the mainboard. The one that contains your Inputs such as HDMI ... To be specific ... : It is the Memory chips that need a reflow as one of them lost the connection with the mainboard, or is still connected but the OHMS are not correct so that the timing is off.... ( off cource you would have to replace the ribbon cable to the TCON first :)

I have the same problem in a UN46C8000. I checked the T Con and I replaced it with no luck. I think it is a problem on the TCP/COF (Tape Carrier Pack/Chip on Film) on the panel side.

Sorry, but the problem is in panel. In Brazil many devices of Samsung to present same problem. My TV is model UN46B6000 with same problem. The Samsung said is I need change a panel.

@@upendrasilva3602 Just an update from my end : I exchanged the power supply , Tcon board and main board and the problem still exist. I did not change the ribbon. Looking under the microscope I do see broken lines in the ribbon that are invisible to the human eye. Exchange the Ribbon first ! ( always ! ) :)

You can fix it I've done it but it's not easy you have to break it down to the panel and pull the ribbon pins very carefully as if done wrong tv will be no good anymore

looks like a tab bonding issue to which there is no fix. try putting small pieces of foam on tab areas to create pressure when frame/bezel is put back on
