I love Keep for simple quick notes, as well as checklists (e.g. shopping lists). I'm a programmer and open source enthusiast, so for "long form" notes I prefer Joplin. I'd much rather work with Markdown instead of the freeform style of Samsung Notes or OneNote. It's open source, cross platform including Linux, and you can sync with various different providers (Dropbox, OneDrive, NextCloud).

The problem with Samsung note is its not available everywhere. You have to separately install it in your pc. On the other hand Google keep is available everywhere, as long you have a browser with Internet connection.

you know whats really crazy I use Samsung notes and I have spent hours making folders for my semester notes only to find I can't export my folders. I can export all the notes in one go and messy 72 files at once but not with the folders. So its pretty crazy

Keep notes works really well when using my iPad but I like Samsung Notes exclusively when on my Samsung.

I use keep for shopping list sincr it has a wearos version to use the lists from my arm while shopping. Most other uxes are done in notes.

Keep is fantastic for shopping lists. It works amazing on my Galaxy Watch 6 too. Plus if you have a note named "My Shopping List" you can add items to it too with Google Assistant or even Gemini.

What version of Samsung Notes are you using? I don't have all those options. Using Version 4.4.18.43 on the S22. Claims to be the latest version.

I kind of like both of them I use the key and the Samsung notes so they're both great it's always good to have two of a guy take care Jeff by the way here in New York we have a new app it's called mid m i d what it is is that you can put your driver's license or ID in the app it's very very cool I don't know obviously you're not in New York but I'm in New York it's the coolest thing I ever seen I have my ID I don't drive anymore I sold my car and it's great when you put all the information you got to put your pictures and you also have the barcode when you touch the your picture it opens a barcode in Spanish and it shows the an ID like a like a driver's license pretty cool got to check it out I don't know if they have it there but I haven't here All right take care😅

I'm back to Samsung now with the S25 and every time I get another Samsung, I just wish they'd ditch all of their Samsung crap and just add their unique touch to Google's products that already exist and are universal. If they want to add One UI elements onto Keep or Tasks or even Google Photos, that's great, but enough with the Samsung version of everything just cluttering up the phone. I've had so many Samsung and Pixels and most recently, iphone. I'm not going to bind myself to Samsung's ecosystem or Apple's. Therefore, I will keep using Google's already good apps everywhere I go.

You cannot protect your sensitive information on the Keep you cannot protect a note wıth a password and I wısh Samsung Notes had a way to access your notes on the web on a desktop pc
