Samsung NX Camera hidden developer menu. Fix "No Lens" error in your camera!

If you have "No lens" error using adapter check this video! I'll show you how to fix it without using duct tape or glue.
By entering developer menu you can also disable movie length limit and capture photos even if your AF cannot focus in dark conditions!
You need to create "nx_dev.adj" file in the ROOT of your SD card with "smart_camera" contents. File should be exactly 12 bytes.
Next, put the SD card ON, turn your camera and set it to auto. Next press the following combination: down, OK, up, OK, right, press and keep pressed the exposure compensation button, press and release OK, and finally release the exposure compensation button.
You should see new developer menu, enter the SYSTEM PARAMETER menu and then enable “DISABLE MOVIE REC LIMIT” option and “NO LENS RELEASE ENABLE”. Another nice setting is that you can disable release lock if autofocus cannot proper focus your image. To do this, check AF FAILED RELEASE ENABLE. To exit press the “menu” button twice.

it's not a matter of speed, and we're not speaking of the nx300 - it's a nx3000, and it has a different newer firmware that doesn't allow such combination for accessing the developer option.

I have the nx1000. I had to buy a new lens recently and since using it the flash doesn't work properly anymore. When I take a picture with the flash on it actually makes the picture look darker or the screen just stays black. I didn't have this problem before with my old lens. Could it be the new lens is the problem or something else?? If you have any solutions for this problem that would be great!! Thanks.

I was able to disable the limit of video, but the camera still cuts my video after a file becomes about 4 GB. I even fomated my SD card to exFat file system, but it didn't help. Any ideas how to turn off file size limit? I use Samsung NX300, the same one as in the video.

Until 2017 you didn't answer about how to make the file 12 bytes once i made it it turned into 18 bytes!

Check your file encoding mode. Should be UTF-8 to make it exactly 12 bytes. It easy to do this in editors such as Notepad++ or something similar

I did this successfully to my NX300 and it absolutely works! Make the file that only says "smart_camera" using a word-processor like NotePad - save that out as text-only-file. Then locate that file and rename the file to "nx_dev.adj" as shown in the video. Do not use the "quote marks" when typing the above. Once you've renamed the file as described, copy that file to the "root folder" of the SD card. Insert the SD card into NX300, then power ON in AUTO mode and hit the buttons EXACTLY as shown in this video. Down OK, Up OK Right - then hold the Exposure button while hitting the OK button. It WILL work.

This is good but far far far too quick. For new people to this process SLKOW DOWN. Between Smart Camera bit mumbled way too quickly. Be accessible for auditory processing and speak AUDIBLY please. The info and means of conveyance are excellent. Having to watch so many times to just follow this. Not accessible enough.
