The Samsung robot vacuums are the best on the market IMO. They are the closest thing to upright power in a robot.

Yes and no. While the power is fantastic, the mapping system ranges from horrible to meh at best depending on the room and lighting. Personally I think the newer Neatos are some of the best robot vacuums you can buy

I thought my r7040 needed to be emptied daily because it kept saying "FULL" but I was mistaken... the battery (not the bin) was full. I have three dogs, one is a very hairy German Shepherd, and I can empty every few days. I run the vacuum daily, I have a 1900 SF floor plan, and it takes 3 charges for it all (automatic). It works great with the lights off but I do have very light vinyl plank flooring.

Have there been any software updates that have fixed this ? My Miele &neato have never had software problems.

It should have its own lights facing up, what was Samsung Thinking? I run my Vacuum Bot at 2am when everyone is sleeping and we are upstairs. Can you imagine the energy you consume having to leave lights on for my Dining Room, Living Room and Kitchen :o/
