Seems like you are turning more and more into a Samsung fan 😉. I always thought that Sonos was the peak of wireless home theatre audio in terms of a simple one set up solution. But seeing and hearing more brands is changing my vision. I personally think if Samsung can tweak some aspects in the future like their design they could be the leader in this segment. Dont get me wrong i love my Sonos setup but they just wanted to resell another Arc and sub with the exact same sound which i think is weird. Yes if Samsung fixes the small things for next years soundbar they will definitely win soundbar of the year again like this year. @@tracer073 i think it's extremely cheap and old fashioned (90's) looking with those plastic buttons on top and those grills. It's like a soundbar that should be sold for around 200 euro's max based on it looks. But luckily in terms of sound it's the best you can buy for that price.

Thank you for the comparison! The connectivity issue is such a problem with my Sonos I returned the Ultra. But the Ultra, when it worked, and that was not too often in the month I had it, the voice was much better than the OG. But when I heard the Q990 I was shocked. I’ve been in a Sonos hole for years. We waited on the Arc upgrade for years and I’m not sure it’s better than the old q990D. CES 2025 is coming and I bet Samsung is gonna drop something brand new and once again be better than the brand new Ultra Ultimate system. Sonos users are going to have to wait another 5 years to try and pass up Samsung. I’m not one of them. I’m keeping the OG Arc and looking for Samsungs new bar. And I did get to hear the Sony Theater Quads and that was absolutely insane. Blows any sound bar away. Not even close. Only question I had with the Sony was the center channel and late night listening. How that would work because for movies the Quads are waaaay better than Sonos’s best sound. Thank you

Its all about collecting money for Sonos right now they had 5 years to fix the Arc issue with low dialogue and speech but all they could push out is Arc ultra with smaller improvements. Yes im pretty excited about CES 2025 really wanna see what Samsung and other brands have for us for next year. If Samsung fixes the small things that i pointed out in the video they will be soundbar of the year once again as they where this year. Im gonna do that to im gonna hold on to my setup i have for now and see what 2025 has to offer. I still love my Sonos setup its amazing when its working. @@thisishazno8536 we are on the same page. I’m guessing, and it’s a huge guess, that the new Samsung adds an option for a second sub. It allows the addition of 2 more surround speakers. You can already take the back 2 and add them to the front perhaps you should demo that for your channel?... I’d love to hear what that is like. Because what the Sony quads have going for them is sound coming from really wide. And the Sony voodoo magic they do it was HUGE sound. Demolishes Sonos. I’d suggest finding a place that has a demo. Because it’s $2667 USD for the complete system with SW5 in there. A lot of money to drop. But if they added a center channel to the Quad (and call it something else obviously) that would be it. Hands down the best system available. The center channel is its only draw back. @@theglovelock1752 Yeah, i saw the price of the Sony Quad one and they look so weird haha but in a good way never seen 4 speakers like that. Yeah i think there is a store in Sweden that has the Sony Quad in display to try out so i will go there this week to try it out. Yeah if i can get my hands on some extra surround speakers i would love to try that out with the q995d before i return it. Didnt even know that you could more surround speakers haha damn, if only Sonos made that an option but they focus on the wrong things for the past 3-4 years.

@@thisishazno8536 you can try it. It’s taking the 2 rear surrounds that you have and put them up front wide. And there is an option within the app to set them as front wides. You just don’t have rears anymore. And that’s where I think 2025 improves… so you can have the sound bar at the center, add two wides and then also have two rears for 5 total speakers working together and 2 subs!:) that would be awesome.

But I have read many horror stories about Sonos app and connectivity issues. So, I bought the Q990D and plan on canceling my Sonos order. Do you think I’m making a mistake by doing so? btw - just listening to your demo here, the Q990D sounds a lot better to me than the Sonos.

Thanks for watching and the positive feedback. How big is the room you gonna use the setup in? No like i said and now its even better opportunity for you to test them both out. I allways say buy it and try it because we all have different livingrooms or rooms that we are gonna use the setup in. You will get more out of the Q995D than an Arc ultra and Sub gen 4, unless you thinking about buying the Era 300s which are expensive but they sound really good. But set the Q990D up and try it you will love that setup i promise. Then when Arc ultra arrives try that aswell and compare them both. Sonos has good return policy and its better to be sure specially for the price of Arc ultra and sub gen 4.

I have a Q950A which is a couple generations before the 990D/995D and I usually listen at 20-30 volume and that is plenty loud for me. I have the treble turned down. The system gets super loud. I am getting an Arc Ultra and sub gen 2 this week. Hope to get Era 300's soon as well. The 950A has super clear dialogue but it can be harsh at times. For the Samsung Q950T Samsung's original flagship soundbar there was some connectivity issues. Rear speakers and sub would disconnect from the bar it was pretty easy to fix though all you had to do was unplug them and plug them back in, annoying though. I think the best value would be to try and get a used Q990C used. If you want enhanced dialogue for your OG Arc you could try Apple TV streamers dialogue enhancement it's pretty dang good.

Thanks for watching, yeah there has been some viewers commenting about that feature on the apple tv and i honestly i didnt even know that it had that feature. I will probably make a video on that and test it out tomorrow. Maybe there are some people that who needs to know about that feature aswell who watches my videos. But you are totally right the q series can get super loud in low volumes as 20-30 thats the biggest difference between the old Arc and the q995d. I dont know how much of a difference it is with Arc ultra. But nonetheless i love my Sonos setup its amazing specially the sub. Q995d sub is nowhere near of what the Sonos sub is in performance. Dual sub is a must after you get the Era 300s you will be amazed what two subs can do. Arc ultra and sub gen 4 is an awesome setup you will love it

Hazno, when u have issues with sonos speakers not appearing in app, try uninstalling the app in your phone and reinstall the app.i get the same issues as u, sometimes they just dont appear correct. But your review is honest. I tried q990d speech is way better. Sonos speech enhancement on sonos arc is a gimmick it does nothing. I went to sonos sales and they tell me theres a slight difference but hearing from you i feel better that im not crazy when that button does nothing. I bought sonos over q950b due to the bass performance from sonos sub is just way more powerful. Q990d i believe is better that q950b but i still thing sonos dual sub is the way to go.

Yeah the speech is so good on the q995d i wish that my arc had the same crispness as the q995d. Haha yes i think that speech enhancement button is such a weird thing to have in the Arc. With Arc ultra it has a purpose and you can switch between 3 modes which you will notice right away. Yeah i love my Sonos setup dont get me wrong its an amazing setup, but when you try something for a 3rd of the price of my Sonos setup and it sounds so good you question alot of things specially the price of Sonos products. Oh yes the sub gen 3 is an amazing sub i love the subs from Sonos, q995d is no where close to what the sub from Sonos is. To have dual subs i love that. Lets see what Samsung brings for 2025 maybe a better sub and an option to dual sub maybe

Hi! I Agree mostly with your opinion with samsung. I personally just thought that this "super clear voice" was a bit unnatural and harsh to me and also some other sounds with treble, especially with higher volumes. I dont have experience with sonos but negatives I noticed with this boosted clarity compared to my Ambeo max and my separate high end systems with speakers such as Q Acoustic concept 500 and KEF R11 before. Im thinking of Trying ARC ultra with dual sub 4 and era 300s.

Been on the fence now for months considering either the Samsung Q900D- or- Arc Ultra/Sub4/Era 300’s. I was waiting for Andrew Robinson & Caleb Denison to each chime in with their reviews. I thought for sure Andrew would say positive things but throw a HUGE caution flag for the well documented app issues. Now, your review has me thinking Samsung is the way to go!? I have NO Sonos products presently. If I want it mainly for tv watching, streaming movies & concerts and occasionally playing music ( typically thru iTunes or Tidal) . . . Should I go Samsung Q900D or Sonos Arc Ultra/Sub4/Era 300’s? Also, who has best return policy if things go south & need returned between Crutchfield, Audio Advice or Best Buy and . . . is buying the extended warranty worth it? What is your guidance!!!

Thanks for watching, i dont know most of the other youtubers sounds like they are paid by Sonos to talk all great about the latest that Sonos dropped. For me i cant agree with Andrew on what he says about the Arc ultra, its not that much better than Samsungs soundbar. The only good thing about that setup compared to the q995d is the sub gen 4. Cause that sub is 50% better than the q995d so if that matters for you then go with the Sonos Arc ultra/sub4/era300s. But if i where in your seat i would go and buy both q995d and Sonos setup and try them both out. Best buy has really good return policy as long as you take care of the speaker and the box it came in.

Hello.why u push the bass from eq and u didn't push only from the sub?its a difference?I think the dialogue is clearer when there is 0 bass in the eq.at sonos system

Thanks for watching, i pushed eq for bass from settings. Both for soundbar and sub are pushed to max +6 on bass. No the dialogue is not clearer with sub on 0 and thats not how it should be either. Sonos soundbar is not good with dialogues at low volume

Test out the jbl 5.1. I have that setup in my bedroom it’s just a soundbar and a sub. Worth every penny. There’s also a jbl 9.1 with surrounds

@thisishazno8536 I have the sonos are ultra and, 2 era 300s. I was using samsung Q950T for movies and the 2 era 300s in stereo pair for music, but i wanted to go all in on sonos but after receiving the arc ultra n comparing with my 2020 samsung Q950T, I realised the sonos wasnt worth the upgrade. My only problem with the samsung is the subwoofer. U dnt get enough bass at low volume and it's bad for music.

Yeah i have the same opinion about the sub from Samsung q995d, the sub was the weakest part. Lets see if Samsung makes some huge improvement in that area in 2025 they dont need to focus on the surround and soundbar for next year its already on top 🙂

@@bobwalters9151 I dont think it has anything to do with my Wifi system at all. If the wifi problems would have been on the q995d aswell i would totally say yes there is something really wrong with my wifi. But since its i only have problems with my Sonos setup there must be something wrong with the hardware within the speakers. Era 300s speakers are the worst they just keep dropping out of the setup and from the app itself. I can be in stereo pair with the era 300s today and tomorrow one of the speakers are gone in the app and i have to factory reset the speaker.

And that was like two and a half years ago. mind you, I have had my era 300s since the release, and still no problems with any dropouts!

Thanks for watching, for the price that i found the q995d/q990d its totally worth the price. But for retail price without black friday deals i would go for the Arc ultra/era300s/sub 4. That setup will please you more. Samsung q995d is the same as q990d i think they have different numbers in Europe compared to USA. But Samsung sound really good but if you want your mind blown i would go for Sonos specially if price is no object then Sonos all day.

Yeah for 999$ you have gotten yourself a really amazing setup. The only thing missing is like i said in my videos is bass. Its good but not sonos sub good. But Ultra/era300s/sub 4 would be more than double the price and for me thats not what Sonos is worth. Have you tried your Samsung setup? How do you like it so far?

Once you have it, try it and like i allways say Sonos has 60 days free return order it and compare the two. Its easier to make a decision that way than going around and wondering if you made the right decision. Haha i know how that is and specially if you are gonna pay out 2-3000 dollars on a home theatre system. But keep me posted would love to know what people think of these setups in comparison 🙏🏼

@thisishazno8536 yeah bro all my gear is samsung old tube tvs phones ear buds etc... even my old surround sound til I got sony then bose then my girl last yr beefing complained about all the speaker wires from the bose wich is like 15 yrs old and sounds amazing still so when got my oled s90 seen bundle for 990 for like 7 and change if bundled woth tv I hesitated and sound bar was out of stock and when I buy and shopping I don't wait I have 0 patience so went to next option sonos and now after seeing this I somewhat regret it lol but I know sonos is quality and so far no issues but didn't go for the era 30ps wich now regret got the era 100 but they are good but now I'm like do I get the era 300s or get me the 990 for close to same price hmmmm

I love my Arc/era300s/2 subgen 3/ its pretty much cinema at home. But we want a Arc gen 2 with all the problem fixed specially speech and dialogue
