Hello, I installed the part yesterday. Waiting to see results. I do have a question. Is that the thermistor mounted in the coil? My thermistor is mounted near the top upper right side where the lines enter the refrigerator compartment. Would it perform better if I moved it to the actual coil?

According to the experiment results it is recommended to install the defrost sensor at the middle top of the evaporator coil and below the installed booster just because this is the coldest point during the defrost cycle.Following this recommendation will result in elevating the cycle time and efficiency. The original sensor location is no longer the coldest point (mostly warmest point) during the defrost cycle after installing the booster heater and might negatively impact the defrost cycle time and efficiency.

This looks like a useful device, but i feel like my issue is more serious than whatever this fixes. The ice builds in the same spot that this new coil would protect, but the issue is that my current coil is also building ice on top of where it should already be easily melting it. I've replaced the coil and the thermistor already, to no avail. Back to the drawing boards for me.

I have a question, with the amount of ice to be melted will I need to use my shop vac to periodically suck out the water in my drip pan? I installed this 3 weeks ago and I do believe this was my issue, so far I don't see any ice build up.

if the kit installed correctly you should no longer have frost or melted ice in that area

if you not getting any power it means you not testing it correctly or issue with wires or control unit.

We have a product Samsung RS25J500DSR/AA u hace same kit for thus one please a need help every 3 or 4 months a need to use my wife hair blower to defrost the freezer because the freezer is continue freezing

if your freezer coils are freezing up, most likely you having issues with defrost system and i would suggest to test following components: Thermal fuse, defrost element, defrost thermistor and bi-metal first but some pictures would help to understand the situation better

Try connect all the connectors from the panel you remote. I got same code on mine, after connected the 2 connectors, error code gone. Just put a box or have someone hold it on the side.
