Your video is very interesting. I have the exact same fridge and manual says to press 3 buttons at the same time! I even called Samsung when I had the O FF showing and their tech help also said to press 3 buttons...alarm, freezer and fridge! SAMSUNG WAS WRONG AND YOU WER RIGHT! It is two buttons!! Alarm and Freezer! Alarm + Freezer + Fridge buttons DOES NOT WORK!! Thank you very much. You saved me a service call!

Thank you so much. Just had a technician come waited 3 days for him to show up. He showed up saw it and wanted to re schedule for next day. $140 just to diagnose it and that’s not including if he wanted to lie about changing parts. Took 1 minute to get it back up. Will cancel the appointment for tomorrow. He knew it was an easy simple issue but decided he was gonna charge us for pressing 2 buttons... or at least he thought he was 🤣

thank you so much. i was researching for about 40 mins trying to figure out why my fridge wouldnt start working again but every website would say to hold power freeze and energy saver instead of power freeze and alarm. my parents went on vacation to mexico for a week leaving me and my sister at our house with a lot of food for the week and all of a sudden the fridge turns off. we were thinking we were thinking our food was going to rot and we would have nothing to eat for the week. My manual said to hold Power Freeze, Power Cool, and Alarm at the same time. Didn't work. Power Freeze and Alarm worked, and also explained how demo more got activated in the first place--somebody probably leaned on the display while getting ice.

Still saving people! The manual didn't show the error code. We have medical headache in our family and in the middle of the night when my husband was half asleep leaning against the fridge, he s somehow turned it off. A day later, with so little time to deal with this, we got an answer. Saved our bacon and our tofu~

If for some people pressing the two buttons doesn't work, try pressing the freezer, alarm, and fridge buttons at the same time. The Samsung customer service rep told me to do this and it worked! I think they may have added the extra button because of people accidentally activating demo mode by leaning against it, etc. Hope this helps!

Actually, the official Samsung manual says to use all three, and it DIDN'T work. This video saved the day--it ONLY works if I press the two buttons shown here.

Someone literally leaned on our refrigerator and sent it into demo mode. Didn't figure out what had happened until next day. Just so everyone knows, my boyfriend turned off our fridge somehow while drunk and this fixed it after an hour of looking through our manuel, which told us to hold down freezer, alarm, fridge which did not FUCKING WORK. Omg you saved me from headache. you have the same fridge as me and all over in the internet is for other models.I noticed its the top left no matter what they are , this model is FREEZER and ALARM, other models can be freezer and energy saver, some are something else

Thanks so much!!!!!! Web site, download manual, etc. Can't find the O FF. But you saved us! Love my Samsung (all are Samsung) appliances and this frig rocks. Just got great front loading washer and dryer. In our house the washer has to be on the right. But the door opens left and the dryer opens right-only option. Very awkward in our skinny laundry room to toss the clean clothes over two wide doors. But, boy, are they cool! Love the steam fluff up for when I forget my clothes.

Newer Fridges this model require you to touch the top right (freeze) as well in addition to the 2 top left. Hope this helps some of you all.

if you have a current model 2016-17 press fridge freezer and alarm for 3 seconds in most cases if not then this two point method will definitely work

For no reason our fridge went into Demo mode with the O FF code.. The Samsung support site says to press the Energy button and freezer button, not the Alarm button you showed us on here Thank you very much, lets hope its not a malfunction and jumps back into demo mode, it's not even 6 months old.

As everyone else wrote, this video is right, (hold FREEZER + ALARM buttons for 3 seconds). Fridge manual and even Samsung tech support & all other videos are WRONG. Refrigerators have no need for computers or digital displays. Just more fancy gizmos to jack up the price that WILL need replacing at $100's in first 5 years. Samsung makes great TVs & monitors but their kitchen appliances suck. BEST ADVICE: but only from Lowes cuz they have the best & cheapest 5 yr extended warranty (less than $200), no service call fees, $0 cost for any repairs, free replacement fridge rental if problem can't be fixed that day, even free replacement if u repeatedly have the same problem.. They even sent a tech out at 9am on a Sunday morning less than 24 hrs after I called. But don't expect ur fridge to last one day past the 5 yr period. Divide total cost of fridge + warranty by 5 and that will be your annual food cooling expense. If you can't afford that, look at a cheaper model. And if you can still find one, best buy is a plain old fridge with a manual controlled temperature lever.

Thanks for the info. Our fridge somehow got put into "demo mode." Someone must have leaned against the display just right while looking into the freezer. This happened on Friday. No one was home during the weekend. We came home to a fridge/freezer full of spoiled food... hundreds of dollars worth. "Demo mode" falls clearly into the "What the hell were they thinking???" column! This should NOT be a user-accessible feature!
