I can see the long shot that Samsung is trying to do here. By cutting the tech down and slashing the price significantly, they will make the foldable device will be marketable to a larger consumer base, which makes the device more likely to be sold. I think they are trying to push the standard form factor to the folding format.

Fold series definitely needs the titanium frame as they get minor deformations even with normal bumps which affects inner screen in time. Currently using fold 4. Performance and hand feel of this phone is literally the best

My fold 4s inner screen broke after 3 months. Was forced to ONLY use the outer display for about a year. When i got my pre-ordered S24Ultra, it was an AMAZZZZZING jump! This phone is a BEAST..Was NOT happy with my fold 4...Was so excited about it when i initially got it!!! Then verrrrry disappointed within 4 months..

I'm really happy with my Z flip 5 since I upgraded each year but I'm still tempted to get the fold series. Perhaps I might cave in this year for the fold 6. I'm going to have to compare the prices and specs before my purchase. Hopefully it's more affordable 🤞🏻

Waoh! Thanks for the most detailed video I have seen about this subject. You cleared all the confusionb about the leaks. I just hope Samsung 1. fix the outer screen - make it like a normal phone not just wider than the Fold 5 , no more skinny outer screens PLEASE. 2. Make the phone thinner and lighter. 3. Include S pen even if it is with the case which is understandable,I know it would be difficult to find space for the s pen in the body of the phone if it is going to be thin and light. The s pen should also work on both the outer and inner screen. The software is already the best. If Samsung can do this, then I wouldn't be going for the next Oneplus open.

If the Ultra is real as leaks indicate, I would not be surprised if many hold out for that Ultra and thus forcing Samsung to launch it outside of Korea because sales are lower than expected. I know that I will

Clearly the issues were dimensions...so the answer must be the Ultra. Too many unknowns at this point, price chief among them, also The One Plus Open 2...if that drastically undercuts the ZFold6 Ultra then I'd be seriously tempted to take that which charges faster and has a charging brick in the box.

Your techno buffs in the Fold camp for sure have all been waiting for the Ultra Fold for ages. It needs to have SPen slot, better RAM, SPen functionality on front screen as well and S24 Cameras. Ulta all the way!

Hopefully the center of the screen doesn't delaminate like my 2 fold 5s I had. Yes the screen protectors failed in the center, then the screens would also delaminate. Moved to my s24 ultra and I'm...happy..

well.. im an Note.. and now Ultra user... 2 things that keep me from the fold is #1.. missing "built in" s-spen. and #2... camera downgrades.. if the fold Ultra takes care of both.. then im in... but only if it resolves both. having to carry the s-pen seperately.. and yes , even if its in a slot in the case.. its seperately.. and 2... while many will say that the camera is just as good on the fold.. id still call it a downgrade. so... both or nothing.. :)

They make the device look so good in esthetics that you upgrade to their downgrade. This way they can sell us the fold 5 again, just in a nicer body. Save money & inventory on components too.

Why wouldn't it? Samsung already markets their regular fold here and their Ultra lineup on the S series phones. There's no reason to not bring the fold ultra to the US.

I would like the f6 ultra, I love my f5, but I want a slightly wider front panel and true flagship computing, I use my phone for work amd for gaming regularly, so Im willing to pay for an extra portable slightly underpowered tablet that is also my phone, as it replaces multiple devices in my daily carry. I honestly wont go back to a non foldable if possible

I had the Fold 3 for two years. I liked it, but it was just too unwieldy. I purchased two phone holders for my car, and on both the weight of the phone would pull the holder down to its lowest position - the phone was too heavy. I changed to the Z-Flip 4 and the Z-Flip is what I will stick with going forward, unless another manufacturer creates something that appeals to me over the Flip. It folds to half the size of a regular phone, and is easy to carry on my person

I personally have the ZF5 for ZF6 I dont care if it's thinner or lighter i want a larger cover display and better cameras like S23U or 24 also INTERNAL S PEN WITH COVER SCREEN SUPPORT. Battery can be increased with larger body size. It doesn't need titanium use aluminum or stainless. Get rid of wireless charging it wastes power to heat, use a magnetic charger like flash lights have been for yrs with usb covered usb C port for charging but primarily for hight speed data.

If the new Fold doesn't have Ultra camera, with periscope, I'll just go back to iPhone. I had Fold 3 (screen cracked after about 8 months), and now Fold 5. Didn't notice much of an improvement in camera quality. Fold is more expensive than Ultra, but has the camera quality of the Galaxy A series. I doubt Samsung will make 3 different Folds. Probably will make a slightly improved Fold 5, which was a slightly improved Fold 4, which was basically a Fold 3.

I won't go to an iPhone, but I agree with ya. I've had the 3 since launch and won't upgrade until we actually get what we should get, ultra cam, spen in the phone, screen that won't Crack after 6 months lol, I replaced mine and then 6 months later it started again, I have micro cracks all along the crease and just won't bother replacing, I wanna upgrade but won't until it's what we want

It can cost 3 grand for all I care. I've wanted a fold since the first model but they have crap cameras. The base model fold 6 Fe getting the Fold 5's camera setup is quite exciting because it might mean we will get the s24 ultras cameras on the ultra model 😮

I hate the "ultra" fashion. I usually want to have all the flagship features such as top cameras, but I happen to deslike gigantic screens. One of the things that attracted me to the Fold is that when it's closed, its narrow screen fits perfectly in my hands! So comfortable to type! But now they will put all the best features on the Fold ultra, as they did with the S series. 🤦‍♀️

why is the outer display too narrow? i have been a fold user since the 3 and frankly i use it 90% of the time unfolded .. so basically you are using a foldable but complaining you can't use it like a candy bar phone .. what the point of a foldable if you use it only 20% of the time .. make sense?
