I think you should try them tbh, order on Amazon and you'll have a month to return them! I personally really like them, but you can't go in expecting full ANC. It only gets rid of lower tones, so wind or traffic or the like. They do a great job at that, but everything else not so much. I knew that going in though. Also set the EQ at Clear in the settings, it isn't muddy on that setting but out of the box *super mud*. No clue why they did it that way!

I finally own a pair of these beans, and one thing I can say about the ANC is that it's severely misunderstood and it's mostly in the way Samsung advertised it. I work in an environment with a lot of machinery creating low frequency humming and these things are amazing at filtering them out while allowing voices through. The ANC is actually some type of hybrid noise-cancelling where the lower frequencies are totally filtered but the mid to high frequencies are actually passed through with a mild transparency mode. They're pretty amazing for improving speech intelligibility (which, in turn, make them awful for cafés where most of the noises are human voices). tl;dr the Beans are actually great hearing aids

..and these are tuned to Harman but came out as a bit of a warm Harman. its a non-fatiguing set. oh, and you have to fit them right or you'll end up complaining like this guy here. I love them that I bought another set since I lost my first pair. These buds fit a niche for me perfectly. I work in a super loud factory, and wear a headset for hearing protection and communication. These allow me to wear them under the headset and still hear people on the radio asking me for adjustments at my machine, while giving me decent sound, and the noise canceling changes the how the machines sounds in a way that makes it more tolerable being near them for 8+ hours a day. This is the only thing I use them for, and for the $110 (Canadian) I got them for, I can’t complain

The reasons he said he doesn't like they are some of the main reasons I like then. Apart from the shape and the way it feels in my ears. I've not been able to find any other earbuds that I can wear more than a half hour so so before it hurts. I take phone calls all day so still being able to hear clearly while listening to music or a podcast is what I prefer.

To my ears these 3rd Gen Air pods are more comfortable compared to the newer Pro version with the soft gel tips. kzbin.infoUgkxgl8SzyQoymMu-S3V55Dskg5QJ8xr1yCR That said, compared to the 3rd Gen, I notice these do not stay planted in the ear as well. One design issue I think, is you squeeze the stem and click it twice to advance your songs. On 3rd gen you tap the large speaker. The difference is by grabbing the stem each time, you tend to loosen the bud fit in your ear. Not always, but the bud falls out a few times while running. The old tap to change never had that problem for me. I would not have changed that tap function. That said, the newer Pro version sticks in the ear, almost airtight if you want that. I do not like that Airtight fit. So that's why I'd stay with this version as the best trade off of comfort, use, and overall feel.

So weird how experiences can vary. I've been really happy with those beans for about two years now. I actually stopped buying new stuff since I got them (got half a drawer full of earbuds. mostly chi-fi though). I turn off the noise canceling, because it makes me feel claustrophobic. I have to say it's very sensitive: sometimes it seems like it doesn't work, but then I just wiggle them better in place and whoop, environment is gone and I can only hear myself breathing (drives me nuts, like with in-ears). It doesn't work for loud high-pitched voices in trains or at work, it just removes the lower end (for any sounds for that matter: drilling neighbors is just too bad too), but most ANC systems can't do high afaik. Sure, it's not the best noise canceling anyway, but helped me through the day many times when there's too much noise. Then again, I've only paid 120 for it (last time I checked they were 80). For 300 I'd definitely look at them differently. Perhaps the regular firmware updates samsung puts out has fixed some of the issues too. I'd probably buy them again if mine died, but they have to stay around 100 or lower.

Cannot say I have the same experience as you describe here. Find these to be pretty good, the sound is clear and the bass is good. Although I am using it with my Samsung phone, I tuned the sound to my liking. Also set the Noise Cancelling to max. Its nice. That said, the case I do agree. Far from the best. but I do prefer a little extra thickness if the case is a bit more square. Prefer the sound of these compared to the AirPods.

I bought them for 70€ in Greece. Awesome deal. I used the wide seals which helped putting them in better and blocking any gap easily. I also used the dynamic sound setting which corrected the whole mid-absence. Finally I use them at University where (if fitted correctly) the "noise cancellation" blocks most of the "mumble" and literally makes the environment more comfortable while being able to listen to your colleagues and teachers at medium volume. At full volume they are just a blast.

I know im a bit late, but after having the beans for over half a year im happy with them. I got them for 80€ (100 Usd) and they are good for that price. The noice cancelling isnt amazing, but it is fine for that price. Ive also not had the wiggling issue with the case. For the issue with the touch controls, there is a homescreen widget that allows you to disable touch controls and ANC.

it REALLY depends on the user. I got them for free (promotion at an electronics store, they were giving them away when you bought some specific phone models) and I love them. I use them 1 at a time, because I don't listen to music and I like hearing what's around me. They fit in my ears really well (they've never fallen out so far) and noise cancelling just isn't something I use. I've used them for several years and there has been no problem with the case or hinge so far. They're not good for people that want to go out and listen to high quality music with 0 interruptions and excellent quality, but they're great for people like me, who just want to listen to youtube videos with your phone in your pocket without getting hit by a car because you can't hear it. They're really small so they don't bulge out when you wear something on your head, and you can even sleep with them in; they won't get in the way. And the touch controls are fine, honestly. I don't have a problem with the touch controls. Sometimes they'll register 2 touches as 3, but I use the 1-touch pause 99% of the time, and they don't really have an issue with it, at least for me.

Ok so I've been meaning to post this comment as I am some one who isn't a huge radio head and just looks for simple things in headphones. So I bought these myself and here's what I have to say about the Samsung beans: • noise-canceling is practically non-existent. • I experienced little to no noise bleed at all. • yes there are touch features but they are immediately deactivatable • sound quality was fine, nothing really bad or cheap sounding tbh. • over time they did become a bit of a pain to put in the ears a bit • charging for both the case and the beans was good enough and had great battery life times. • I lost mah beans so I'm getting the Samsung pros now 💀💀

I bought a pair last year and I actually find the ANC perfect for my use case, where they're semi-permeable in most settings and so I can wear them in the office and still be able to hear people call me, but in an environment like riding pillion on a motorcycle, the helmet helps it seal the noise more completely.

I got my beans like 8 months after they came out and mine dosen't have wobble in the case lid (they still dont have contrasting colors and they come out semi easly) the noise cancelling decreases sounds around you by 50-70% and they sound pretty clear, I think its because mine came from a late patch of galaxy beans.

I’m listening to this review on my beans. I got them during a sale when I still had a Samsung phone and absolutely fell in love with them. They fit in my ears so. freaking. good!!! I literally forget I’m wearing them, can’t feel them even after hours of wear. I really enjoy the sound too, for the price they’re really good and the eq built in the app is also really nice. I have an iPhone now and the app is a bit wonky on iOS but they still connect really fast and have the same audio quality. The anc is really nice as well. Could be a tad bit better, but still, works for me. Especially when taking public transport. You have to turn the volume up a bit in really noisy environments but the openness that the anc gives you is amazing. My ears don’t feel stuffy at all with the amazing fit they give as well. The microphone is atrocious though😭😭😭. I record song demos on my phone and sometimes forget that I have the buds connected and in my ears, record something and when I listen back…horrible. But people can clearly understand me during phone calls so whatever. The case is nice, but after like almost 2 years of usage it has worn out a bit and opens a tad too easily. Still nice though. Overall, for the price I bought them I’m really happy. I’m probably gonna save money for some apple AirPods now, since I’m trying to become all-apple as it’s really useful in my work and school. And I feel like I’m going to have to change them after a few more months, maybe a year. Still, really nice, wouldn’t pay full price for them but I’m still amazed at how good they fit and how I’ve never had earphones fit that nicely.

I use these at home while reading, they sound decent have OK battery life and wireless charging. And the main thing for me they are comfortable over long periods of time. I use jbl reflect flow earbuds when I work out. People could kick me to death and they wouldn't fall out and they have decent passive noise canceling and they sound great to me.

Crazy thing here, if you have a Samsung you can add more noise canceling as well as turning off touch controls, and even change the sound balance. It's almost like they were made for Samsung phones. They also have noise bleed because there's a speaker facing the outside of the ear bud

I have these too and I feel your pain. I will say the only time the noise canceling actually worked was when I was snowboarding and my ears were sealed. That was the best of the noise canceling they have ever done for me. And the touch controls part is also my most hated thing. I just turn the touch controls off. And what's worse, even if you turn off touch controls they still work when you call someone. So if I have to adjust them I end up ending the call. So I have to keep my fingers on the buds so they just adjust the volume instead of ending my call every time. So for now I'm just going to use use untill they break and get better ones. I will say that even though the case feels hollow and shit, I have dropped mine a lot and they still haven't broken so thats cool.
