@@viktorwashere And to answer your original question, YES!... the S20 FE would still be a great investment 2 months from now, even still great by December, simply because there isn't any smartphone that's gonna be released this year that'll be a better bang for buck than this device... Even if Samsung releases an S21 FE or any other phone, it still won't be as greatly priced as the s20 FE today due to its natural depreciation, period. So yeah... Buy away... I definitely get this for my mom, specs wise and price wise, I think she will be happy with it, and you can get USB C headphones like I got on my S20 Ultra. I believe the S20 Ultra is the best, although the battery life is really bad, because of the Exynox chipset, which is really weak, but I still love my phone. As for the S20 FE, I think a £450 flagship that is well built is worth buying, and you get the flagship experience, which is a feeling of quality, its worth getting and hopefully you can stick with it for many years. They get updates regularly, the camera is top notch every time on them, the software is reliable and they have lovely screens to use. On my phone heating seems to be more of a software problem, but thankfully it doesn't happen very much. Tbh form my experience I recommend buying a flagship, especially if you can get it at a good price, comparable with the price of a midrange phone, flagship feels better, value for money.

Just purchased the S20FE 5G two days ago in India and I'm so happy with it. Nothing to not like in this phone. I almost bought it when it launched last year but stepped back coz of the shitty Exynos processor. Glad I did. It's now priced just a little more than the A52s 5G. So it's a no brainer when it comes to making a choice. The next available flagship model costs around 40% more! So glad that I got my hands on this. Only bummer for me was no earphone jack (but I got a C Port to 3.5mm jack connector at the Samsung store) and just two colour options. Cloud Navy and Cloud Mint. I so wanted the Lavender or the Red! Went with Navy coz Mint is not my thing. Thanks for your review. Helped my decision.

It heats only after playing for more than 1:30 mins. This phone is an insane value and there's no gimmicks at all. Perfect performance, Perfect cameras, packed with essentially needed features for a full flagship experience. This is the one to buy in 2021!! Not the S21s as well! Else better go for the note 20 ultra. That's even better but for more than twice the price this is a better value phone at all. No. The 5g comes with the SD processor. The non 5g (I currently own it) has the worst thermal properties. Heats up during basic things like - hotspots or even while recording vidoes the phone heats up. A 30 Mon video call means, the phone will shut down. It's been a horrible experience.

I have an exynos version(seemingly the only 2020 upwards device to not offer 5G in South Africa, I stand to be corrected), but surprisingly I have not had any heat issues and the updates have been doing nothing but improving its performance, however, after this months update (where for some odd reason they thought we needed bixby again) the phone started cooking immediately after the update but after a second reboot everything went back to normal, if anyone could possibly explain why that happened would bebmuch appreciated. Another issue with the Exynos model is that using it under direct sunlight will heat it up even faster, which leads to screen dimming to around 50%, and makes it very hard to see what's going on the screen. I'm using one, it's a shame that such a good phone has this issue... Not sure about the S20 FE 5G which uses Snapdragon 865, though. Btw, this is not just an issue with the S20 FE Exynos, but also a common issue with the whole Exynos 990 S20 phones as well... Other than that, everything runs perfect, very smooth, and the Camera is among the flagship phones out there!
