So I bought my s20 on Nov 2020 its August 2022 now so almost 2 years and I want to share my experience on a pink s20. First the software and and the smoothness of this phone is top notch and still holds up. The only app issues I find myself is youtube which can be extremely laggy and crashes but that only happens around once or twice a week(I watch ALOT of yt vids). Gaming is great no lags at all. The one downside I have is battery life. The battery life of this phone brand new with the 120hz on was between 5 to 6 hours of screen on time. Now after time has passed I have gotten less battery life around 4 to 5 hours of screen on time. No I'm not going down 60hz. Once you go 120 there's no going back. Camera is great with good lighting low lighting or indoor with yellow lighting the camera struggles including videos. However I still have no plans to buy a new phone my next one will be an ultra just not sure which year lul. So if your looking for a great phone buy this very worth it.

I think at this price you cannot go wrong. An A53 5G at that price range is barley competitive. Camera in the S20 is way better and the snapdragon 865 slaps it around silly. Plus way better screen and you don’t have to worry about the antenna issues the 53 has.

The performance has been great tho I don’t play games. Overheating can be a an issue when using the camera but mostly it’s manageable. The cameras are one of the best I have ever used! Takes solid photos and my friend has the s21 ultra and sometimes the shots from my s20+ look better thanks to the 12 mp sensor. Ive got the s20 plus and it took me a while to warm up to the phone after first getting it, but now I don't think I've owned or even used a better phone. Mine is the exynos so I used to be a bit salty about battery, but it only got better with updates not to mention the fast charging really does the trick for me. The camera is great and reliable and I really do love almost everything about this phone! I use goodlock to change a few things like the UI and it keeps the phone fresh! The only minor annoyance I have towards the phone (and it really is quite a non issue) is that due to the chipset, in bright sunlight and during the summer with an average range of temperatures between 88 and 96F, the screen on full brightness dims due to the heat and it doesn't reach its full brightness. However, in winter this does not happen! The screen is sharp and colors are out of this world! 60hz all the way (mainly for resolution)! Great stuff

I actually prefer the 64mp crop on the telephotos as it enables me to see things farther than dedicated fixed resolutions telephoto lens do. I dont think anyone would use a telephoto lens for photography that much as it mainly is for utility in seeing things farther away and the 64mp crop enables you to do that for farther distances. And also, the reverse wireless charging helps a lot when your earbuds go low on battery. Had it useful in a lot of cases. Make sure that you take these things into context of people actually using them instead of just basing them only on your own experiences.

I've had an S10e for the last 2 years. I don't really see the need to get the newest phone since, as you mentioned, the features are similar. I was honestly going to just get another S10 or S10e since the cost of changing the screen myself was more than the phone itself. I really like the s10e size. However, checking the prices I found I could get a refurbished S20 from Amazon for $200. I've been using my work XCover pro this week and the S20 is .1 smaller. It sucks not being able to text one handed to be honest on the larger phones but I've gotten somewhat used to it. On the S10e, I could text/type one handed. I've got pretty big hands and I can almost do it on the XCover. I'm hoping that .1" is enough to make a difference there. This phone does not feel like a 2 year old phone this runs just as good as the newest Samsung phones released today. I have the 8gb ram 128gb version

Is there any difference in battery life or performance in 5g models?
@kakashi999082 жыл бұрын
mine in the same color is still amazing it has an insane amount of ram that surpasses even modern flagships, it has 120hz refresh rate decent cameras, a micro SD slot, wireless power sharing, 5G (extended range only). My issues are just like every Samsung amoled a pretty bad amount of screen burn in and mediocre battery life.

These videos make so little sense. The S20 is a 2 year old flagship, still superior to 95 percent of all Android phone models sold new today. If getting a good deal of course it's still worth it.

Hi could you do a revisit of the one plus 9 pro? It was crucified on launch but since the price has gone extremely down. I think it's a very good bargain. Thoughts?

Just snagged one refurbished on ebay for about $100 (very minor screen artifact/burn). Hoping it tests out okay.

This is all I can say. If it is Snapdragon yes it is worth it. If it is exynos pls don't mind buying one. Exynos is the worst chipset.

What kind of screen-on-time are you guys getting on OneUI 5.0/5.1? How does it compare to the previous versions? I'm getting 9h sot on Android 10 and I'm afraid to update.

My S20 FE 5g just arrived. Much better than this one if you dont want the Quad HD or curved display. Got it because its one of the most balanced phones out there. The S21 FE has sd888 which drains the battery too soon.
@ticenits19262 жыл бұрын
so the FE is the same they just removed curved screen? (I hate those)

Had my S20 for 3 years now. Been looking to replace it and all the newest phone don't seem to match up. The only one that blows the s20 out of the water is the Oneplus 10 and 11. Unfortunately Oneplus doesn't offer financing so I'll wait and see what the s24 will have to offer. Beside some minor screen burn, my s20 is still going strong.

The Screen Ratio on the S20 makes it SOO Much More Appealing then the S21-23. The S20 just needs the Back of an S23 and its the best looking phone imo. Shall wait for the next S series.

just switched from s20 couple days ago to s22 plus. honestly dont see s22 plus as much of an upgrade, arguably has worse screen due to resolution and i miss being able to change the screens resolution. only problem i had with my own s20 was that the battery had became very very bad at holding charge and the adhesive attaching the back of the phone had became weak causing the back to come off on its own either via overheating or expanding battery. another thing which could very well be exclusive to me was that calls would randomly cut out and i wouldnt be able to send or receive texts for random periods of time. i imagine this is a network issue although i brought it to my provider 3 times and they could not fix the issue, i even changed sim and the issues still persisted. I am now using that same sim in my s22 plus and have had none of the aforementioned issues.

I stopped to buy Galaxy phones after S10 Plus because of the Exynos (the only version here in Cyprus). I bought the S10 Plus from the day one, that with the Ceramic back and 512gb. As a device was amazing, my wife use it till today, but I switched it with the iPhone 12 after almost a year. iPhone gives better experience overall, especially on cameras and performance. It’s sad that Samsung keeps using the Exynos in specific regions because it’s inferior chipset in every way (the battery takes the biggest hit).

Switched over to the iPhone 13 Pro from this phone because it became a colossal pain in the ass to use. After just 1.5 years of usage, it would eke out only 2 - 3 hours of SOT on a single charge and require my banking apps to be restarted multiple times before it could run them. Switching over to the iPhone 13 Pro from it honestly felt like a breath of fresh air for me. The iPhone effortlessly churns out 7 - 8.5 hours of SOT on a single charge, in stark contrast to the 2 - 3 hours eked out by the S20, and, though its user experience occasionally falls victim to poorly optimized/programmed, buggy, crash-prone iOS apps, it is still far more premium and polished than the S20's in my opinion. That said, I'd gladly switch back to Samsung's flagship phones when it masters the art of optimizing the hardware in them for the OS they're running.

I had the same experience and also got a 13 Pro. Much better in pretty much everything besides the weight, really miss how light the S20 felt.

A lot of people would say the Samsung Galaxy S10 series is the gold standard of Samsung flagship phones. But if you ask me, when it comes to an entire lineup and not just the Ultra version, I feel as though the S20 series is where Samsung truly peaked. You're getting a QHD display across the board and while it's limited to 60hz, the trade-off to 120hz at FullHD feels much easier to swallow nowadays given that the regular and plus versions of the S21 series and beyond only give you FullHD displays, period. No QuadHD. And then there's the microSD card slot, the last time Samsung included it. Honestly, I'm at the point where I no longer miss the headphone jack so... Also, keep in mind that this phone started out at $1000. I can pick one up on eBay new for under $300. And while it may not get Android 14, I'm personally getting it for the cameras, since my current daily driver only has the wide and ultrawide cameras. Plus the S20 makes for a good backup phone and/or secondary driver.
