Hi Techmo, after checking the Samsung website for the manuals, I can confirm that the s24 FE doesn't have an extra microphone, it has an air vent hole at the bottom, the S24 has it on the top of the device 6:12

S24 uses Samsung S5K3K1 1/3.94 sensor for telephoto camera with 67 mm lens, S24 FE uses Hynix Hi847 1/4.4 sensor with 76mm lens. So the difference between them is both from focal length and the sensor itself

Additional information, the telephoto sensor of S24 is a Samsung Isocell (S5K) 3K1, while the S24 FE use a Hynix Hi847.

My experience from using both is every feature on the S24 fe is like 65-75 percent as good as the S24. When it all adds up it just feels and performs like a cheap phone. The S24 just feels and performs like a flagship and that's my preference.

I think the S24 FE is better than the S24 With a lower price, the only I think I wish the FE had is that's Matt finish its really cool and the bezels are thick, otherwise the FE is a overall better phone But for my opinion I will go to something like S23 Ultra, wich you get in some markets for 800$

In my country, S23 Ultra is sold at twice the price of 24fe. Even if you buy a used one, it is a very expensive phone. So, no. s23 ultra and s24fe are not equivalent. Not anywhere near.

Since the S24 is smaller, it has less space for the heat need to dissipate, so it will get warmer. The s24+ would fair better

Hey, I don't have the plus right now with me to test it, but the sensors are the same; I have a hard time imagining on the main lens, there is any shutter lag difference, it's just a guess, though :)

To me it sounds like there is high pass filter applied for noise cancellation and that is reducing the quality. Didn't notice this issue before.

The big screen and battery capacity most important for me because of I use it for watch KZbin premium and Netflix and for play game like Pubg mobile. Camera performance ranks third for me. Network performance is also very important to me. There shouldn't be a place where it doesn't attract.

Lately started noticing that, when I take pictures of an object such as a table / rectangular shaped object on my S24, it looks more skewed. The depth of the pictures are distorted and perspective changed. Can you please share your thoughts on this. Thanks

Difficult to say, it can be many things. The most common is banana effect. The pictures the phone is taking is distorted before processing, then your phone apply arithmetics to align the object and remove distortion, it does not always do the best job and I found Samsung phones are especially prone to this. Google banana effect, but I can't tell for sure.

In fact, the real problem with this S24 FE is that its front end is actually really too ugly, and looks uglier, cheaper than its much cheaper $200-$300 competitors, it really looks like a low-end smartphone, and above all, costs $200 too much for what it is and compared to the competition, it has the same problem as the Pixel 9 / 9 Pro 🤧 At $400-$500 maximum for the 12G / 256G version, it becomes a good deal, but first look at the prices of the S24 Plus and S23 Plus before putting the trigger on this S24 FE. 🚶🏽‍♂️ 🚶🏽‍♂️ 🚶🏽‍♂️

@@techmo2020 thanks, after 7months having the s24 exynos here in asia (tropical region), i have to say that it really cannot survive a whole day e.g. 7am to 8pm outside on mobile data esp. on 5g, even I have to set it only to 4g. How I wish we could have snapdragon next year, but I dont think so, I am even contemplating of sacrificing size for a bigger S25 Ultra due to battery life. I hate to baby the phone when it comes to battery, it is even worst when I have it constantly connected to my galaxy watch 6.
