I'm so indecisive, ugh... I don't know if I want the smaller S24 for comfort and portability, or if I want to full package with the Ultra. The titanium build feels amazing, and it feels like a great year to go with the big one. EDIT: Very soon after, I decided on the Ultra. Lets see how it goes.

The translation feature is a great tool for law enforcement. They have several daily encounters with language barriers. Much easier than waiting for a translator officer to arrive on scene.

In the indoor video test, the clouds and other bright areas were clipping more in the iPhone. Which tells me it was less a dynamic range difference and more a choice in the iPhone exposing higher for the indoor area where as Samsung tried to keep the highlights tamed more. I wouldn't say one was worse than the other really.

@EzTips_yt The S23 Ultra and the S24 Ultra have all the same sensor (except Telephoto, it is now a IMX754) Samsung did only a Camera Software Update for the S24 Ultra but it is very funny, that everyone is thinking, that Samsung put a new sensor in the S24 Ultra. btw, the 2-3 years old Xiaomi Mi 11 have the same old main sensor, which is actually in the S23 Ultra and S24 Ultra (S5KHP2 /ISOCELL GN2). The VIVO x100 pro have actually the best main camera sensor (Sony IMX 989). Imo better than the S24 Ultra.

To be honest, no. But if you are using S22 or older then it is worth it. Do not be like me though, I will be trading in my S23 Ultra coz Samsung offers a 50% discount for the S24 Ultra with a free 512GB upgrade. If it was not for that deal, I would be sticking with my S23 Ultra.

I've recently ordered the S24 Ultra and plan to trade in my S22 Ultra for extra cashback. During my time with the S22 Ultra, I discovered an unexpected issue. Initially, I believed the AMOLED screen was free from any burn-in. However, upon closer inspection of the area behind the status bar, I noticed faint signs of burn-in. This was surprising, especially after learning that OneUI 6.0 lacks specific AMOLED burn-in protection features. The light burn-in on my screen was disappointing. To address this, I've started using Good Lock's QuickStar to disable all icons on the status bar, which helps, but it's a workaround. I believe a built-in feature for auto-hiding the status bar in future Android updates would be highly beneficial. It would not only enhance the overall user experience but also play a crucial role in preventing screen burn-in, especially in static areas like the status bar.
