This phone was never fixed, a capacitor went flying at 6:03 landed right below your hand and you never notice and after using the reballing stencil it's gone, all ways take a snapshot before removing anything. Thanks for Sharing

I wonder why this PMIC component is damaged. What could be the cause? The other day I connected my S8 and suddenly started to sound as if it was recharging many times even though it was connected. I disconnected it and by the next day it never turned on again nor charge. I replaced the battery but no signs of life neither. Pressed all key combinations no response except key volumen down, bixby and start which gives me the message of Odin to download a firmware or restart. Start and volumen down to restart but nothing happens. Could the problem be motherboard or this piece. Thanks

This isn't as easy as it looks 🙈 I tried to remove the "PMIC" yesterday. One of the capacitors between the PMIC and the CPU (?) came out with the pmic (glued together) and after trying to refit the capacitor for 5 hours I gave up. I did some smd soldering back in early 2000 when phones used 06-03 components. I think I can suck at this if I get some more practice. What type of solder paste and flux are you using , and do you got any good tips on how to replace capacitors/resistors ? Btw: Please add some more videos and keep up the good work! :)

@@mingfix841 Lol no.. I need a better microscope and some new tweezers + some practice (it's not as easy as it looks when you do it ). I think my pcb (flux) cleaner (CRC electronic cleaner) solved the glue (used to glue the BGA IC to the pcb) so I got a layer on film on the pcb pads. I couldn't get the solder to stick to the pads (I tried silver and lead ). But I will give it another try. I saw one of your other video where you swapped a shorted capacitor on a Samsung s8+ and I got inspired to give it another try. Btw I think your awesome. please add some more videos 😁.

Do you think it's better to shield the cpu/mem ic next to it with some metal plate.

I use heat resistant tape

My j7 prime wont start. 10mA changes to 60mA when button pressed and back to 10mA when released. Voltages around pmic as per sammy service manual are ok. Could it still be pmic or more likely cpu if voltages are ok.
