That's called PROPER SOUND. Not overly loud, distorted garbage with no dynamic range. Iphones have far better mic quality, they're not as loud, yes, but that's to give you realistic dynamic range. The sound quality itself is very good.

The OIS on the S9 is excellent!!! You can literally see the difference when he was running and walking. It also does a very nice job of capturing brightness from the snow, reflection, and glare from the sun. I think we have a clear winner here.

Dorian Black the iPhone prefers to record from the back microphone when using the back camera. The galaxy phones use the front microphone more which makes it sound better on these comparison videos. But i dont mind the iPhone’s preference to record the audio from the back mic. Because most of the time we want to pick up the audio of something that’s happening in front of us. The galaxy is like in this “narration mode” all the time ready for these kinds of youtube videos. Know what I mean?

kerginaldo17 the sound does sound much better on the S9 in general but what I have realized is that in noisy situations the iPhone will actually sound better for some odd reason because somehow it manages to only pick up your voice while the S9 will pick up way too much background noise that will overshadow your voice & just sound noisy/ distorted.

S9 plus definitely a clear winner, I think in previous videos (not Super Saf) the low light quality of the Pixel has been slightly overblown by some reviewers, looking forward to seeing the Pixel comparison. We shouldn't forget that the Pixel and iPhone has had a number of software updates to the camera in the past months and the S9/S9 plus are brand new so I would expect more improvements there.

Well, S9 clearly won the comparison, and those low light images looked way more richer and less processed on the S9 but obliterated is going a bit too far, at the end of the day both are amazing and neither of them will disappoint you. I did preferred S9's pic in most cases but the pic of iPhone X was not that far away, S8 tends to have better stabilisation and audio, and iPhone Selfie is overexposed like always (i think they does it for keeping subject more bright but it's kinda annoying when the entire background is blow out like that. It's amazing that here we are in 2018 and the iPhone X still doesn't offer stereo sound for video recording. My Galaxy S4 even recorded videos in stereo sound. LMAO!!! XD (And it was released back in March of 2013.) Now for overall video quality, the S9+ was definitely a lot better than the iPhone X. Day time still images they were both really good and comparable overall. But then in the low light, it wasn't even close. The S9+ definitely trounces the iPhone X. It seems like that for the exception of only daylight, the S9+ wins in almost every situation. In daylight they seem to be statistically tied. Both phones have great cameras. And in the end the best camera in reality is the one you have on you. The Pixel, the iPhone X and iPhone 8, as well as the Galaxy S9/S8/Note 8 are the best of the best for phone cameras. And that's out of how many hundreds if not thousands of different varieties of phone's that are made.
